Abstract

Basic Ms Office knowledge is one of the most general and commonly used in industry or companies from the lowest level to the hight type of industry. However, in Toba area itself, mentioned as SMK N 2 Balige which located in Balige, North Sumatra which all students do not familiar with Ms Office usage. There are no special subjects that can support other subjects according to the major, namely basic Microsoft Office science. As mentioned by the headmaster of SMK N 2 Balige that the graduations are only 30 person(10%) got accepted in industry every year. Seeing this issue, IT Del has a responsibility to increased student performance which will be accepted in industry during the graduation timeline every year. IT Del as an educational institution operating in the field of technology can of course provide assistance in the form of training that will help these students to have the skills of Ms. Offices that are needed in the industrial company. The training carried out at the school is Ms Word, Ms Excel, Ms Power Point. Each is given a module that describes the real work in the industrial world so that students are expected to be able to adapt to the learning modules provided. These three materials are taught in parallel and alternately so that all students have the opportunity to discuss the training module as a whole. The assessment technique is seen from the student's speed in working on the example questions given and being able to solve them well and correctly. The average ability of students in working on Ms Word questions is 59.33, Ms Excel 75.78 and Ms Power Point 76.44. In this training, 3 students were obtained with the highest scores from all students, namely 270, 265 and 260. From the results of the training carried out, it can be seen that the students of SMK N 2 Balige were enthusiastic in participating in Ms. Office.

Abstract

Pelatihan inovasi bidang pertanian dengan pemanfaatan teknologi Internet of Things (IoT) telah dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 1 Sigumpar untuk menjawab tantangan adopsi teknologi modern dalam pendidikan kejuruan. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman dan keterampilan siswa serta staf pengajar dalam mengimplementasikan IoT, khususnya pada sistem hidroponik otomatis. Metode pelaksanaan meliputi penyuluhan, pelatihan praktis, dan pembangunan sistem hidroponik berbasis IoT yang dilengkapi beberapa sensor sebagai penerima inputan real time terhadap beberapa parameter, seperti suhu, kelembaban, pH dan menggunakan aktuator motor untuk memompa dan mengalirkan air serta larutan nutrisi ke dalam sistem hidroponik. Dalam percobaan yang dilakukan, para siswa mampu menggunakan perangkat IoT untuk memonitor parameter-parameter tersebut dan memonitornya melalui platform Thingspeak. Sistem hidroponik berbasis IoT yang dibangun juga berhasil diintegrasikan sebagai alat pembelajaran interaktif di SMK. Program ini tidak hanya memberikan manfaat edukatif, tetapi juga mendukung pengembangan kurikulum berbasis teknologi. Keberhasilan pelatihan ini menunjukkan potensi besar penerapan IoT untuk meningkatkan efisiensi dan kualitas pendidikan di tingkat kejuruan, terlebih dalam membuka peluang yang cukup krusial dalam menghasilkan tenaga kerja yang kompeten dengan memahami bagaimana perangkat IoT saling terintegrasi.

Abstract

Rice is an important commodity for human life. The application of appropriate technology continues to be developed and researched as an effort to create food security. Indonesia is one of the largest rice producers but has not fully implemented agricultural technology. The lack of application of technology causes agricultural techniques to be still traditional. This causes the younger generation to be less interested in working as farmers. One of the challenges for novice farmers is how to handle plant diseases. This study aims to design a disease detection system so that it can be easier to handle. This plant detection uses a deep learning method with the YOLO V5 Algorithm. To obtain the best model, each YOLO V5 version was compared. The experimental results showed that the detection of healthy plants could be predicted better (0.99) than the other classes. Based on the predicted value, it means that the extra-large version is better (0.83) than the other versions. In addition, this study also designed the user interface with website application media. This website can be accessed via a laptop or smartphone so that its use is more effective and efficient. The user interface design is designed simply so that farmers and novices can easily learn and use it. With this research, it is hoped that rice production can be increased and one way to attract the interest of the younger generation.
