ABSTRAK Penelitian bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan handout KOKO (Kontekstual dan Kooperatif) pada materi sistem organisasi kehidupan terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII SMPN 9 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian menggunakan desain Nonequivalent Control Group Design. Populasi dalam penelitian adalah siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu dengan sampel kelas VII A dan VII C. Penentuan sampel menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar tes yang berbentuk soal essay. Hasil belajar siswa berdasarkan analisis independent sample t-tes diperoleh nilai thitung ˃ ttabel = 5,512 ˃ 2,001 sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima. Berdasarkan uji peningkatan hasil belajar siswa dengan uji N-gain diperoleh bahwa nilai N-gain kelas eskperimen lebih tinggi daripada nilai N-gain kelas kontrol dengan rata-rata N-gain score kelas eskperimen 0.7 dan kelas kontrol 0.5. Hasil penelitian disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan handout berbasis KOKO (Kontekstual dan Kooperatif) terhadap hasil belajar siswa kelas VII pada aspek kognitif. Research using a non-equivalent control group design The population in this study were students of class VII at SMP Negeri 9 in Bengkulu City, with a sample of students in classes VII A and VII C. The sample was determined using a purposive sampling technique. The instrument of the research is a test sheet in the form of essay questions. Student learning outcomes based on independent sample t-test analysis obtained tcount ˃ ttable = 5.512 ˃ 2.001, so that H0 was rejected and Ha was accepted. Based on the test for improving student learning outcomes with the N-gain test, it was found that the N-gain score for the experimental class was higher than the N-gain score for the control class, with an average N-gain score of 0.7 for the experimental class and 0.5 for the control class. The results of the study concluded that there was an effect of the use of KOKO-based handouts (Contextual and Cooperative) on the learning outcomes of class VII students in the cognitive aspect.
