Abstract

Some previous studies have shown that electricity and magnetism is one of the concepts of abstract, difficult, and complex. The purpose of the research illustrates the difficulties of academic cross-level physics education students on magnetic electrical concepts. Research used qualitative descriptive methods. The number of research samples is 103 students consisting of 73 the third year Bachelor?s Students of Physics Education and 30 Master?s Students of Physics Education in one of State University in Bandung City. Research instruments used essay-shaped tests and interview guides. Data collection was conducted by giving essay test adapted from Electromagnetic Concept Inventory test consisting of four major subconcepts namely: electrostatic, magnetics, electromagnetic induction and electromagnetic waves.  Data analysis was conducted by analyzing the test result data via the answer scale section and analysis of the interview results. The results of the study show interesting thing that the electrostatic subconcept is 3% for Bachelor?s Students of Physics Education and 6% for Master?s Students of Physics Education that answered questions correctly on the concept. In the sub-concept of electromagnetic waves, 7% of Bachelor?s Students of Physics Education and 6% for Master?s Students of Physics Education that answered correctly questions on the concept. The results indicate that most students ' cross-academic level difficulties were on electrostatic sub-concepts and electromagnetic waves that categorized the basic and upper concepts in magnetic electrical concepts. The results of the study give implications that the need to strengthen basic concepts and appropriate learning strategy in teaching the concept of magnetic electricity.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is implementation PhET Interactive Simulations Media with a Guided Inquiry Approach to Improve Students' Critical Thinking Skills" based on the description provided above. Physics Educational Technology (PhET) simulations is the virtual laboratory makes use of practical simulation principles to carry out engaging learning. By using an inquiry-based learning approach, students are trained to formulate problems, generate hypotheses, conduct experiments, gather data, analyze data, write and describe theories, and honestly follow rules so that the actions of the offenders mirror those of scientists. This study method is quasi-experimental, because it uses a guided inquiry learning strategy to assess how critical thinking abilities are improved when learning the pH of acid and base solutions. The study's conclusion is combining PhET Interactive Simulations media with a guided inquiry approach, the average learning outcomes are higher than when using a conventional learning.

Abstract

This study aims to make and test the quality of rubber seed shell briquettes with a mixture of goat manure and utilize the results to construct worksheet that can be used to support integrated science learning shared models on Environmentally Friendly Technology materials. This research method is an experiment in making and analyzing rubber seed shell briquettes mixed with goat manure and utilizing the results to construct worksheet. Data collection techniques are experiments, documentation and literature studies. Data analysis techniques in the following research are quantitative analysis techniques and qualitative analysis. The experimental group was divided into three groups, namely: A1 with a composition of 87% charcoal: 13% adhesive, A2 with a composition of 77% charcoal: 23% adhesive, and A3 with a composition of 97% charcoal: 3% adhesive. The percentage of charcoal is 50% rubber seed shell charcoal and 50% goat manure charcoal. Conclusion: The briquette test showed a ratio of 97% charcoal and 3% adhesive showed the best results with a calorific amount of 6287 kcal/kg. The context of briquettes can be used as science learning materials in the form of worksheet on environmentally friendly technology materials.

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh etnosains pada pembuatan klepon dalam pembelajaran kalor dan perpindahannya terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan mengetahui berapa besar peningkatan hasil belajar siswa terhadap pembelajaran materi kalor dan perpindahannya dengan etnosains pada pembuatan klepon. Subjek dalam penelitian yatu kelas VII E di SMP Negeri 17 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian yang dterapkan yaitu penelitian kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest-postest. Pengumpulan data hasil belajar siswa dilakukan dengan memberikan lembar soal berupa pretest (tes awal) dan postest (tes akhir) di setiap pertemuan yang dianalisis melalui uji-t data tunggal dan N-Gain. Hasil belajar siswa dari analisis uji-t satu sampel menunjukkan thitung sebesar 29,450. Berdasarkan uji peningkatan hasil belajar siswa terdapat 18 orang siswa yang memperoleh skor N-gain yang bekisar antara 0,4 sampai 0,7 sehingga termasuk kategori sedang, sedangkan 11 orang siswa lainnya memperoleh skor N-gain kategori tinggi dengan skor 0,8 sampai dengan 1,0. Hasil keseluruhan analisis menunjukkan bahwa ada pengaruh etnosains pada pembuatan klepon dalam pembelajaran materi kalor dan perpindahannya terhadap hasil belajar siswa dan hasil belajar siswa mengalami peningkatan dengan kategori sedang dan tinggi. Sebagai penelitian penerapan pembelajaran, artikel ini dapat menjadi acuan untuk penerapan etnosains dalam pembelajaran IPA oleh guru serta dapat digunakan sebagai kajian pustaka untuk penelitian selanjutnya di bidang pendidikan. Kata kunci : etnosains, klepon, hasil belajar ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the effect of ethnoscience on making klepon in the matter heat toward learning outcomes and to find out how much increase in student learning outcomes in learning heat material and its transfer with ethnoscience in making klepon. The subjects in the study were class VII E at SMP Negeri 17 Bengkulu City. The research applied is quantitative research with one group pretest-posttest design. Data collection on student learning outcomes was carried out by giving question sheets in the form of pretest (initial test) and post-test (final test) in each meeting which was analyzed through a single data t-test and N-Gain. Student learning outcomes from the one-sample t-test analysis showed a count of 29.450. Based on the test of improving student learning outcomes, 18 students obtained an N-gain score ranging from 0.4 to 0.7 so that which was included in the medium category, while 11 other students obtained an N-gain score in the high category with a score of 0.8 to 0.7. 1.0. The overall results of the analysis show that there is an influence of ethnoscience on the making of klepon in the learning of heat material and its transfer to student learning outcomes and student learning outcomes have increased in the medium and high categories. As a research application of learning, this article can be a reference for the application of ethnoscience in science learning by teachers and can be used as a literature review for further research in the field of education. Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui Pengaruh Penerapan Model Pembelajaran IPA model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC), terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa di dalam pembelajaran IPA pada materi pemanasan global. Sampel penelitian diambil menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Sampel yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas VII C sebagai kelas uji coba (eksperimen) dan siswa kelas VII A sebagai kelas pembanding (kontrol). Jumlah siswa yang terlibat terdiri dari 33 siswa dari kelas VII C dan 34 siswa dari kelas VII A. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment Research tipe nonequivalent control group design. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah lembar tes penguasaan konsep siswa dan lembar angket respon terhadap model yang diajarkan. Berdasarkan Hasil perhitungan penguasaan konsep dengan menggunakan uji t, diperoleh nilai signifikansi menunjukkan 0,00 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Hasil perhitungan diperoleh besarnya effect size pada penguasaan konsep menunjukkan bahwa terjadi pengaruh yang sedang. Sehingga dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwa penggunaan model pembelajaran IPA model pembelajaran Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap penguasaan konsep siswa kelas VII C SMPN 09 Kota Bengkulu. Kata kunci : IPA, Penguasaan Konsep, CIRC, dan Pemanasan Global ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the Effect of Applying the Science Learning Model Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model, on students' mastery of concepts in science learning on global warming material. The research sample was taken using a purposive sampling technique. The samples used in this study were students of class VII C as a trial class (experiment) and students of class VII A as a comparison class (control). The number of students involved consisted of 33 students from class VII C and 34 students from class VII A. The type of this research is Quasi Experiment Research type nonequivalent control group design. The instruments used in this study were student concept mastery test sheets and response questionnaires to the model being taught. Based on the results of calculating mastery of the concept using the t test, a significance value is obtained showing 0.00 < 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. The results of the calculations show that the magnitude of the effect size on mastery of the concept indicates that there is moderate influence. So it can be concluded that the use of the Science learning model of the Cooperative Integrated Reading and Composition (CIRC) learning model has a significant influence on the mastery of the concepts of class VII C students of SMPN 09 Bengkulu City. Abstract

The utilization of aquaculture, especially in freshwater fish farming potential, is still not optimal. In general, fish feeding is still done manually and depends on human resources which is done simply. So an automatic fish feed thrower based on solar cells was designed to minimize the risk of delays in feeding fish. This innovation can be integrated in learning where it is adapted to physics content. This research uses a mix of methods with data collection techniques in the form of observations related to the surrounding environment and the learning process, documentation in the form of learning tools such as syllabus, lesson plans, curriculum, documentation, questionnaires, testing feed machine tools and literature studies. This research instrument is in the form of descriptive observation sheets, observation analysis sheets testing feed machine tools. Analytical techniques in this study use descriptive, qualitative and quantitative analysis techniques. The results of this research are in the form of content integration in physics learning in the context of designing a solar cell-based automatic fish feed throwing machine consisting of 6 physics contents that are adapted to the context of solar cell-based automatic fish feed throwing machines. The results of this study show that the application of the use of an automatic machine for throwing fish feed based on solar cells can be used as a source of learning, especially in physics subjects.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi optimalisasi pembelajaran sains terapan dengan fokus pada teknologi ramah lingkungan di sekolah Malaysia dengan penekanan pada pengembangan keterampilan hidup guru. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah melaksanakan pembelajaran sains terapan konteks teknologi ramah lingkungan berbasis keterampilan hidup bagi guru sekolah di Malaysia. Kegiatan berupa penguatan dan implementasi pembelajaran sains secara kontekstual sebagai upaya pengembangan keterampilan hidup guru dengan aspek yang diukur berupa social, personal, dan specific skill.  Metode yang digunakan dalam kegiatan pelatihan ini adalah metode ceramah, diskusi, tanya jawab, eksperimen dan demonstrasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelaksanaan pembelajaran sains terapan berbasis teknologi ramah lingkungan berhasil meningkatkan keterampilan social 85%, personal 90%, dan specific skill 80% dengan rata-rata peningkatan yang sangat baik setelah mengikuti implementasi pembelajaran sains secara kontekstual. Guru menjadi lebih percaya diri dalam menerapkan konsep teknologi ramah lingkungan serta lebih terampil dalam mengintegrasikan teori dan praktik di kelas.Tantangan yang dihadapi selama pelaksanaan program termasuk keterbatasan infrastruktur dan resistensi terhadap perubahan dalam metode pengajaran. Solusi yang diusulkan termasuk peningkatan infrastruktur teknologi dan pelatihan berkelanjutan yang lebih luas untuk guru, serta peningkatan sosialisasi program untuk mendukung keberhasilan dan keberlanjutan program. Optimization of Applied Science Learning in The Context of Environmentally Friendly Technology Based on The Life Skills of Indonesian School Teachers in Malaysia Abstract This research explores the optimization of applied science learning with a focus on environmentally friendly technology in Malaysian schools with an emphasis on developing teachers' life skills. The aim of this research is to implement applied science learning in the context of environmentally friendly technology based on life skills for school teachers in Malaysia. Activities include strengthening and implementing contextual science learning as an effort to develop teachers' life skills with aspects measured in the form of social, personal and specific skills.  The methods used in this training activity are lecture, discussion, question and answer, experiment and demonstration methods. The results of the research show that the implementation of applied science learning based on environmentally friendly technology succeeded in increasing social skills by 85%, personal skills by 90%, and specific skills by 80% with a very good average increase after following the implementation of contextual science learning. Teachers became more confident in applying environmentally friendly technology concepts and more skilled in integrating theory and practice in the classroom. Challenges faced during program implementation included limited infrastructure and resistance to changes in teaching methods. Proposed solutions include improved technology infrastructure and broader ongoing training for teachers, as well as increased program outreach to support program success and sustainability.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian pre-eksperimen ini bertujuan untuk menjelaskan apakah terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara sebelum dan setelah siswa mengikuti pembelajaran melalui penggunaan etnosains pembuatan gula aren pada konsep klasifikasi materi dan perubahannya siswa SMPN 17 Kota Bengkulu. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah tipe One-group pretest-postest. Sampel penelitian diambil dengan teknik purposive sampling dengan penggunaan etnosains pada proses pembuatan gula aren. Instrumen tes menggunakan soal tes hasil belajar berbentuk essay. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data menunjukan selisih peningkatan nilai hasil belajar antara pretest dan postest siswa sebesar 51. Uji hipotesis menggunakan uji one sampel t-test berdasarkan hasil uji t diperoleh signifikasi hitung hasil yang diperoleh sebesar 0,00 yang lebih kecil dari signifikasi acuan alpha 0,05. Sehingga H0 ditolak dan Ha diterima yang menyatakan bahwa terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar yang signifikan antara sebelum dan setelah siswa mengikuti pembelajaran melalui penggunaan etnosains pembuatan gula aren pada konsep klasifikasi materi dan perubahannya. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan N-gain score sebesar 0,64 dalam kategori sedang. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini terdapat perbedaan hasil belajar setelah dan sebelum pembelajaran dengan penggunaan etnosains pembuatan gula aren konsep klasifikasi materi dan perubahannya.                                                                                                                     Kata  kunci: Etnosains, Hasil Belajar, Pembelajaran IPA, Penggunaan Etnosains   ABSTRACT   This pre-experimental study aims to explain whether there is a significant difference in learning outcomes before and after students take part in learning through the use of ethnoscience of making palm sugar in the concept of material classification and its changes for students of SMPN 17 Bengkulu City. The study used the type of One-group pretest-posttest. The research sample was taken by purposive sampling technique with the use of ethnoscience in the process of making palm sugar. The test instrument uses learning outcomes test questions in the form of essays. Based on the results of data analysis showed a difference in the increase in the value of learning outcomes between the pretest and post-test students of 51. Hypothesis testing using the one sample t-test test based on the results of the t-test, the calculated significance of the results obtained was 0.00 which is smaller than the alpha reference significance of 0, 05. So H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted which states that there is a significant difference in learning outcomes between before and after students take part in learning through the use of ethnoscience of making palm sugar in the concept of material classification and its changes. Based on the results of the calculation of the N-gain score of 0.64 in the medium category. Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media ajar booklet materi interaksi makhluk hidup dengan lingkungan untuk siswa kelas VII SMP. Jenis penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian Research and Development. Metode penelitian ini menggunakan model pengembangan 3D dengan tahapan; 1) Define (pendefinisian), 2) Design (desain), dan 3) Development (pengembangan). Berdasarkan hasil validasi menujukkan bahwa media ajar ini dikategorikan sangat layak digunakan setelah revisi skala kecil dengan persentase 0,88. Persentase tersebut merupakan rata-rata dari aspek penilaian materi 0,86, aspek media 0,90 dan aspek penilaian praktisi 0,88.   Kata kunci: booklet; interaksi; makhluk; hidup.   ABSTRACT   This study aims to develop a booklet the interaction of living things with the environment for seventh grade students of junior high school. The type of research carried out is Research and Development research,this research method uses a 3D development model with stages; 1) Define, 2) Design, and 3) Development. Based on the validation results, it shows that this teaching media is categorized as very suitable for use after a small-scale revision with a percentage of 0.88. The percentage is the average of the material assessment aspect 0.86, the media aspect 0.90 and the practitioner assessment aspect 0.88.    Keywords: booklet; interaction; living; things.

Abstract

ABSTRAK   Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa terphadap materi pencemaran lingkungan di SMP Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi masih terdapat beberapa siswa yang kesulitan dalam mengisi soal pada saat ujian akhir semester terutama pada materi pembelajara IPA. Beberapa siswa terlihat kebingungan ketika menjawab soal yang diberikan oleh guru. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah seluruh siswa kelas VII dengan jumlah 105 siswa. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan teknik total sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar soal tes pemahaman konsep dan lembar wawancara kemudian data dianalisis dengan teknik analisis data kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian berdasarkan analisis yang dilakukan menggunakan persentase tingkat pemahaman konsep siswa menunjukkan bahwa pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di SMP Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu berada pada kriteria tinggi dengan nilai rata-rata 82%. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat disimpulkan tingkat kemampuan pemahaman konsep siswa pada materi pencemaran lingkungan di SMP Negeri 9 berada pada kategori tinggi dengan indikator pemahaman konsep tertinggi terdapat pada indikator translasi sebesar 84% dengan kriteria tinggi.   Kata kunci: Pemahaman konsep, Pencemaran Lingkungan, SMP Negeri 9 Kota Bengkulu.   ABSTRACT   This study aims to analyze the ability of students to understand the concept of environmental pollution in SMP Negeri 9 Bengkulu City. The background of this research is that there are still some students who have difficulty understanding and filling out questions at the end of the semester exams, especially on science learning material and the level of understanding of students' concepts at SMP Negeri 9 Bengkulu City is unknown. Some students looked confused when answering the questions given by the teacher. The samples in this study were all class 7th students with a total of 105 students. Sampling used total sampling technique. Data collection techniques used concept understanding test question sheets and interview sheets, then the data were analyzed using quantitative data analysis techniques. The results of the study based on the analysis conducted using the percentage level of students' conceptual understanding showed that students' conceptual understanding of environmental pollution material at SMP Negeri 9 Bengkulu City was in high criteria with an average value of 82%. Based on the results of data analysis, it can be concluded that the level of students' conceptual understanding ability on environmental pollution material at SMP Negeri 9 is in the high category with the highest concept understanding indicator found in the translation indicator of 84% with high criteria.   Keywords: Understanding The Concept, Environmental Pollution, SMP Negeri 9 Bengkulu City.
