Abstract

Moral beliefs play an important role in character education, especially in the modern era which is full of moral challenges. This study aims to explore the relevance of project-based learning strategies in strengthening the values of moral beliefs among students. The methodology used in this study includes a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and questionnaires. The main findings show that the application of project-based learning not only improves students’ understanding of moral beliefs, but also contributes to the development of positive character. The implications of this study show the need for the integration of innovative learning methods in the educational curriculum to form a generation with noble character.

Abstract

Character education is a crucial element in the development of students at the elementary school level, where they begin to form identities and moral values. This article discusses the strategy of character education for students at the elementary school level and the urgency of integrating character education in the elementary school curriculum as an effort to form a young generation who are not only cognitively intelligent, but also have good character The method of writing this article uses the literature review method. In this method, the author searches for themes related to character education in the elementary school curriculum. Then continue by summarizing the results of related literature to find the intended results. The results of this study reveal that in the elementary school curriculum, the integration of character education can be applied through school subjects such as Civic Education (PKn) and Social Sciences. In addition, character education can also be integrated in activities in schools to build social awareness and the student environment. Character education helps students become responsible individuals and care for others and the environment, while reducing bullying behavior. Through routine activities and example, students are taught to have sensitivity to the environment and others. Thus, character education plays an important role in creating a generation that is ethical and able to face moral challenges in daily life.

Abstract

Nowadays, technology has brought a huge impact on education. This research discusses the impact of the application of digital technology on learning methods in elementary schools. Data was obtained from observations, interviews from several teachers who have applied digital technology in the learning process, secondary data from books, journals, and others. The results can be concluded that there are several positive and negative impacts of the application of digital technology in learning: 1) It makes it easier for teachers in the learning process, media and learning methods, 2) Students are easier to receive and understand material from the application of learning technology as a medium or learning method, 3) Learning becomes interactive and fun. Digital technology allows teachers to provide services without having to face students directly so that it can increase efficiency in the learning process. Negative impact: sometimes there are students who are dependent on digital technology which can lead to the loss of critical and creative thinking skills, social skills, and independent learning abilities due to searching habits and the like.
