Abstract

Civic education is a crucial element in realizing responsible citizenship. In Papua, where there is cultural diversity and complex socio-political challenges, the development of human rights is often hampered. In this context, civic education serves as a foundation that can strengthen understanding and respect for human rights. This article aims to examine the significance of civic education in Papua, emphasizing its impact on human rights awareness and community participation. The research applies a qualitative approach to collect data from various sources, including interviews with educators and human rights activists, as well as document analysis of relevant education policies in Papua.

Abstract

Civic education plays an important role in shaping the morals and character of the nation's children, especially in the midst of the increasingly strong current of globalization. This article aims to explore the importance of civic education in the context of Jayapura City, by emphasizing the moral and ethical aspects that need to be instilled in the younger generation. Through literature review and data analysis, this article seeks to provide insight into how civic education can be a tool for building the morals of the nation's children in the era of globalization.

Abstract

There is a lack of understanding of just and civilized humanitarian values ​​in the community environment, so that the application of Pancasila values ​​​​is an obligation for Indonesian citizens as a guideline for their lives. This study discusses the implementation of just and civilized humanitarian values ​​​​in various professions in Jayapura City. By referring to previous literature reviews, this study aims to explore how these values ​​​​are internalized in daily practice in various sectors, including education, health, and government. Through qualitative methods, this study collected data from in-depth interviews and participant observations. The results show that despite the challenges, many professionals in Jayapura are committed to implementing humanitarian values ​​​​in their work, which contributes to the development of a more civilized society.
