Abstract

This study aimed to identify and analyze educators' strategies to improve students' talents and interests through the implementation of favorite activities at Mutiara Bunda 1 Sidoarjo Elementary School. Education plays an important role in developing the potential of each individual, especially students in the stage of growth and development. Increasing students' talents and interests is considered an important aspect of developing individual potential, especially at the basic education level. Students often face challenges in discovering and developing their interest in a formal learning environment. Therefore, it is important for educators to create an atmosphere that allows students to explore their interests through fun activities. The research method used is a qualitative approach, involving direct observation and interviews with teachers and students to determine their interests in various favorite activities that are integrated into the learning process. The results of the research on the indicators of students' increased interest in talent and educators' strategies through favorite activities show that strategies involving favorite activities, such as arts, sports, and skills activities, can significantly increase students' learning motivation and talent exploration. Teachers act as facilitators who support students in expressing their interests as well as directing favorite activities into a means to develop students' cognitive, emotional, and social abilities. In addition, students' involvement in activities that match their interests has a positive impact on academic achievement and self-confidence. This study concluded that the implementation of activity-based strategies is an effective approach for enhancing students' talents and interests. It is hoped that the findings from this study can be used as a guideline for educators to design learning programs that are more appropriate and responsive to students' needs and potential.

Abstract

Ekosistem merupakan suatu kesatuan lingkungan yang melibatkan unsur-unsur biotik (jenis-jenis makhluk) dan unsur-unsur abiotik (iklim, air, tanah) yang beinteraksi satu sama lainnya. Ekosistem Darat dan laut merupakan ekosistem yang dapat membantu meningkatkan kesejahteraan masyarakat. Terkadang kesadaran masyarakat yang masih rendah untuk menjaga ekosistem daratan dan lautan, menyebabkan banyak terjadi kerusakan ekosistem, bukan hanya itu banyak terjadi bencana alam karna ulah masyarakat itu sendiri. Oleh karena itu pemerintah melakukan program pemberdayaan masyarakat, agar masyarakat dapat mandiri dalam melestarikan ekosistem. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui upaya yang dilakukan dalam pelestarian ekosistem darat dan laut melalui pemberdayaan masyarakat, serta untuk menilai dampak positif yang dihasilkan dari program pemberdayaan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah literature review dengan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan melalui studi kepustakaan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan bahwa pelestarian ekosistem di darat dan laut memberikan dampak positif terhadap ekosistem, dampak positif tersebut yaitu masih melimpahnya suplai air bersih dan tidak terjadi banjir rob dan abrasi.

Abstract

Social issues such as poverty, unemployment, social inequality, limited access to education, and inadequate healthcare services remain major challenges in regional development in Indonesia. Local governments play a strategic role in addressing these issues through their functions as regulators, facilitators, and innovators in public policy implementation. This study aims to analyze the role of local governments in overcoming social problems at the regional level and to identify factors influencing the effectiveness of their interventions. A descriptive qualitative approach was employed using a literature review of relevant academic sources. Data were analyzed through identification, classification, and interpretation processes to obtain a comprehensive understanding of local government policies and strategies in addressing social issues. The findings indicate that the success of local governments is influenced by the quality of governance, institutional capacity, resource availability, inter-agency coordination, and community participation. Community empowerment programs, including skills training, business assistance, and local economic development initiatives, have proven effective in improving social welfare. Inclusive, data-driven, and sustainable policies also contribute to reducing regional disparities and promoting equitable development. Strong collaboration among local governments, communities, and the central government is essential for achieving more responsive, equitable, and sustainable regional development.
