Abstract

Lesehan Panembahan Restaurant in Tanjung Pura City faces challenges with ordering food and beverage packages, which are still done via telephone. This leads to order mistakes, simultaneous timing issues, and ineffective and inefficient reporting processes. These problems are primarily due to the use of manual record-keeping with a ledger. This study aimed to develop an Android-based application to simplify the reservation process. The results indicate that the developed restaurant and room reservation management information system can be utilized by both the marketing team and consumers. The application provides features for accessing menu information, rooms, packages, and for making reservations and payments digitally. The marketing team can confirm payments, monitor package information, and manage reservation data summaries based on specific periods. The Rapid Application Development (RAD) method was used in the system development.Keyword: Management Information System; Restaurant Reservations; Rentals; Rooms; Mobile AbstrakRestoran Lesehan Panembahan di Kota Tanjung Pura menghadapi masalah dalam Pesanan paket makanan dan minuman yang masih dilakukan melalui telepon sering menyebabkan kesalahan, terjadinya waktu yang tumpang tindih, serta laporan yang tidak dibuat secara efektif dan efisien. Permasalahan ini terutama disebabkan oleh penggunaan media pencatatan manual dengan buku besar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan aplikasi berbasis Android yang mempermudah proses reservasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sistem informasi manajemen reservasi restoran dan penyewaan ruangan yang dikembangkan dapat digunakan oleh tim marketing dan konsumen. Aplikasi ini menyediakan fitur untuk mengakses informasi menu, ruangan, paket, serta melakukan reservasi dan pembayaran secara digital. Tim marketing dapat mengonfirmasi pembayaran dan memantau informasi paket, serta mengelola rekap data reservasi berdasarkan periode tertentu. Metode Rapid Application Development (RAD) diterapkan dalam pengembangan sistem.

Abstract

The management of the final project at the Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University of North Sumatra has not been fully supported by an application system. The head of the study program faces difficulties in preparing the final project management report, which has an impact on the less than optimal process of monitoring the final project by students and supervisors. Supervisors experience limitations in monitoring the development of their students optimally, especially because of the large number of students and the variety of problems that arise. The consultation function becomes less effective. In addition, the delivery of information related to the final project to students, lecturers, and the head of the study program is often hampered, while physical files are vulnerable to being tucked away or manipulated. Students also have to come directly to campus to take the supervisor's assignment letter, submit documents, follow the guidance, and check the seminar and trial schedule. To overcome this problem, this research aims to build a web-based final project monitoring information system at the Faculty of Science and Technology, State Islamic University of North Sumatra. The research was conducted using the Research and Development (R&D) method with a Waterfall system development approach. The result of this research is a web-based SIMTA (Final Project Monitoring Information System) developed using the Laravel framework. SIMTA is expected to facilitate the process of completing the final project, increase the effectiveness and efficiency of interaction between students, lecturers, and study programs.

Abstract

The Medan City Ministry of Religion Office is a state ministry that provides Rare animals are animals that are few in number and very rarely found. An animal is said to be rare if its population is decreasing rapidly and the number worldwide is less than 10,000. Natural factors or those influenced by human activities cause animals to become rare and endangered, for example low reproductive rates, insufficient types of food available, habitat destruction, or illegal hunting. From this, there are several problems that can be identified in the introduction of rare and endangered animals in Indonesia. Most people do not know or know about the rare and endangered animals in Indonesia. Apart from that, there is still very little digital media that provides informative and interactive information. This has resulted in a lack of public knowledge about rare and endangered animals. Therefore, the aim of this research is to build an Android-based information system to make it easier for the public to obtain information on endangered animals in Indonesia. The system development method used is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method which consists of planning stages, design workshops and implementation. Meanwhile, the tool used by the author in creating information system designs visually is UML (Unified Modeling Language). This Android-based information system was built using Kodular tools and the Firebase database. With this information system, it is hoped that it can help the public obtain information regarding endangered animals in Indonesia easily and quickly via Android cellphones.

Abstract

The Medan City Ministry of Religion Office is a state ministry that provides social assistance services to the community. In carrying out the distribution of social assistance to the community, the Medan City Ministry of Religion Office has not yet provided a system, so the distribution and recording process is still carried out conventionally. In distributing social assistance zakat, the Ministry of Religion still records each aid recipient in a book, so there are still problems in terms of searching for data which takes a long time, data damage, data loss and the possibility of entering the same data (data redundancy). Therefore, the aim of this research is to build a mobile-based application to make it easier to record and monitor the distribution of social assistance to the community. The system development method used is the Extreme Programming (XP) method which consists of the Planning, Design, Coding and Testing stages. Meanwhile, the tool used by the author in creating information system designs visually is UML (Unified Modeling Language). This mobile-based application was built using Android Studio tools and a MySQL database. With this application, it is hoped that it can help the Medan City Ministry of Religion Office to record and monitor the distribution of social assistance to the community easily and quickly via Android cellphones.

Abstract

The objective of this investigation is to enhance inventory management at Toko Agung by implementing the Economic Order Quantity (EOQ) method. The System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology was employed to develop a web-based inventory control system that integrates EOQ principles into daily operational processes. The system is designed to determine the optimal order quantities, reorder points, and safety stock levels in order to minimize the total inventory costs, which include both ordering and holding expenses. By applying EOQ calculations, the system assists in balancing procurement frequency and stock levels to avoid unnecessary capital tie-up or shortages. The findings reveal that the implementation of EOQ led to a 15% reduction in total inventory-related costs, a significant improvement in stock availability, and a 10% decrease in the risks of overstock and stockouts. Furthermore, the automation of the procurement process through the system enabled more accurate forecasting and timely decision-making. These results demonstrate that the integration of EOQ into a web-based inventory system can significantly improve the efficiency, accuracy, and cost-effectiveness of inventory management in retail business operations.

Abstract

SMA Negeri Padang Lawas Utara needs a more modern attendance system to improve accuracy and efficiency in recording teacher attendance. This research aims to develop a web-based teacher attendance information system using the Face Recognition and GPS Lock methods to ensure valid and accurate attendance. The method used in system development is Rapid Application Development (RAD), which consists of Analysis & Quick Design, Prototype Cycles, Testing, and Deployment stages. The developed system allows teachers to attend only if they are in a predetermined school area through GPS location validation and facial verification. The system is tested to measure the main functionality, namely the accuracy of face identification and the validation of the location of attendance. The test results showed that the system was able to recognize the teacher's face with an accuracy rate of up to 95% in various conditions, and successfully rejected absences that were carried out outside the designated school area. In addition, the system shows a quick response time in attendance recording, which is less than 3 seconds. With this capability, the system contributes to improving the accuracy of attendance recording and reducing the potential for attendance fraud. Schools can monitor teacher attendance in real-time, thus supporting efficiency and effectiveness in attendance management management.Keyword: Face Recognition; GPS Lock; Attendance; Teacher; Web AbstrakSMA Negeri Padang Lawas Utara membutuhkan sistem absensi yang lebih modern untuk meningkatkan akurasi dan efisiensi dalam pencatatan kehadiran guru. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan sistem informasi absensi guru berbasis web menggunakan metode Face Recognition dan GPS Lock untuk memastikan kehadiran yang valid dan akurat. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengembangan sistem adalah Rapid Application Development (RAD), yang terdiri dari tahapan Analysis & Quick Design, Prototype Cycles, Testing, dan Deployment. Sistem yang dikembangkan memungkinkan guru untuk hadir hanya jika mereka berada di area sekolah yang telah ditentukan melalui validasi lokasi GPS dan verifikasi wajah. Pengujian sistem dilakukan untuk mengukur fungsionalitas utama, yaitu akurasi identifikasi wajah dan validasi lokasi absensi. Hasil pengujian menunjukkan bahwa sistem mampu mengenali wajah guru dengan tingkat akurasi hingga 95% dalam berbagai kondisi, serta berhasil menolak absensi yang dilakukan di luar area sekolah yang telah ditentukan. Selain itu, sistem menunjukkan respons waktu cepat dalam pencatatan kehadiran, yaitu kurang dari 3 detik. Dengan kemampuan ini, sistem berkontribusi dalam meningkatkan keakuratan pencatatan kehadiran dan mengurangi potensi kecurangan absensi. Sekolah dapat memantau kehadiran guru secara real-time, sehingga mendukung efisiensi dan efektivitas dalam pengelolaan manajemen kehadiran.Kata kunci: Face Recognition; GPS Lock; Absensi; Guru; Web

Abstract

The Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Medan City is a state ministry that provides hajj departure services for prospective pilgrims. In conducting the registration process for Hajj departure, the Office of the Ministry of Religious Affairs of Medan City has not provided a system, so the registration process is still carried out conventionally. Prospective pilgrims must come directly to register for Hajj by filling out the registration form and bringing the requirements needed for registration. By doing this, there are still problems that occur, especially in terms of time, cost, and energy spent. Therefore, the purpose of this research is to build a mobile-based information system using a quota-based method to facilitate Hajj registration. The system development method used is the Rapid Application Development (RAD) method, which consists of planning, design, and implementation workshops. While the tools used by the author in creating a visual information system design are UML (Unified Modeling Language), this mobile-based information system was built using the Kodular framework and the Airtable database. With this information system, it is expected to help prospective pilgrims register for Hajj easily and quickly through Android mobile.
