Abstract

Purpose - The purpose of this study is to explain the effect of the Hybrid-Generative Learning implementation on learning outcomes, creative thinking ability, and student learning interest.  Desain/methode - This study used a pseudo-experimental method with a nonrandom control design of the pretest-posttest group. The population of this study was all grade 7 students in the even semester at Sekolah Menengah Pertama Negeri (SMPN) 01 Ngunut, Tulungagung. The sample of this study was four (4) classes that were deliberately selected from a total of six (6) classes that attended Islamic religious education subjects. Findings - The average learning outcomes of students in the experimental class were better than those in the control class (67,523 > 57,028). Students in the experimental class had better creative thinking skills compared to the control class (70,387 > 53,633). The average learning interest of students in the experimental class had a higher interest in learning compared to the control class (37,378 > 29,441). The information shows that students who receive Hybrid Generative Learning have learning outcomes, creative thinking skills and learning interests are much higher than students in other classes. Research Implications/limitation - The use of hybrid-generative learning models on other parameters requires further development for future research to reveal positive results on some of the more comprehensive models. Similarly, the duration of time ideally needs to be longer for different learnings. Originality/value - Studies of hybrid-generative learning models have been conducted by several researchers in Indonesia. However, they only focused on developing this model for students' thinking and metacognitive skills. Therefore, this study is genuine, new, and can be a scientific reference.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the characteristics of students' learning methods or attitudes, known as learning styles. One of the well-known learning style theories is the "VAK learning style" theory developed by Bobbi de Poter and Mike Henarcki. A learning process that is appropriate to the character of students can influence the intensity and achievement of students' learning well. This research uses a quantitative approach with ex-postfacto correlational research. The population is all students from class I to class VI at MI Al-Hidayah 02 Betak, Kalidawir, Tulungagung. The sampling technique was carried out using a purposive sampling technique by taking samples with a specific purpose. The sample chosen was class IV students at MI Al-Hidayah 02 Betak, Kalidawir, Tulungagung. The data analysis techniques used are hypothesis prerequisite tests (normality and linearity tests) and hypothesis tests (simple linear regression test and MANOVA test). The results of the research show that (1) based on the results of the hypothesis test, it is found that learning style influences students' learning intensity by The resulting value of t = 4.943 and it is known that t table = 2.093 and the significance level is 0.000 < 0.05, meaning that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. (2) Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it was found that learning style has an influence on students' learning achievement with the result of a value of t = 2.046 and it is known that t table = 2.093 and a significance level of 0.049 < 0.05, meaning that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. (3) Based on the results of the hypothesis test, it was found that learning style influences students' learning intensity and achievement with a significance value for Pillai's Trace of 0.000, Wilk's Lambda of 0.000, Hotelling's Trace of 0.000, Roy's Largest Root of 0.000. So, the significance value is smaller than the 0.05 significance level, meaning that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So it can be concluded that learning style influences the intensity and learning achievement of students at MI Al Hidayah 02 Betak, Kalidawir District, Tulungagung Regency.

Abstract

Globalization has resulted in the easy penetration of very sophisticated technology from developed countries to developing countries such as Indonesia (global village). In this era, the role of technology is vital, if people in a country are unable to optimize the role of technology, it can be said that information and communication technology will be left behind by other countries. This study aims to explore and describe the benefits of information and communication technology (ICT) in civics learning in grade 5 of Elementary School. This study uses a qualitative research method with a descriptive approach, involving classroom observations, in-depth interviews with teachers and students, and analysis of learning documentation using ICT. The results of the study indicate that the integration of ICT in civics learning in grade 5 of Elementary School provides various significant benefits. First, ICT increases student involvement in the teaching and learning process. Tools such as multimedia presentations, educational videos, and interactive applications make students more interested and enthusiastic about learning. Second, the use of ICT helps students understand civic concepts better through visualizations and simulations that facilitate understanding of abstract material. Third, teachers feel helped by the existence of information and communication technology in delivering lesson materials more effectively and efficiently, as well as facilitating the evaluation process through online quizzes and tests that can be assessed directly.
