Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness and im-pact of a digital office data tracking system in the performance and deci-sion-making of the selected employees. While manual tracking systems remain functional, their drawbacks, including inefficiency and potential for errors, make them less desirable compared to the modern and con-venient digital office tracking system. These reasons prompted the re-searcher to delve into the advantages and benefits this digital tracking system will provide the Department of Agrarian Reform. A survey research design was utilized to carry out this study. Find-ings indicate the majority of the fourteen (14) respondents were either satisfied or extremely satisfied with the current office data tracking sys-tem in place.

Abstract

The Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) launched the Walang Gutom (No Hunger) Program to address involuntary hunger among vulnerable populations in the Philippines. This study evaluates the pilot implementation of the program in Tondo, Manila, focusing on its impact on hunger and the lives of beneficiaries. The program com-bines direct financial assistance through an Electronic Benefit Transfer (EBT) system with social interventions like job training, nutritional workshops, and community engagement. While the program shows promise in addressing hunger and empowering beneficiaries, challenges such as eligibility criteria, limited funding, and digital literacy barriers need to be addressed. The study recommends strategies to enhance the program's effectiveness and sustainability, including strengthening out-reach efforts, improving digital literacy, and expanding the program's reach to more vulnerable communities. Evaluations of effectiveness have yielded favorable results, with notable improvements in food security observed among beneficiaries. The progress in food security for house-hold beneficiaries is encouraging, and focused interventions can further enhance these positive outcomes. Ongoing assessments allow the pro-gram to adjust to the evolving needs of participants, ensuring sustained effectiveness. Beneficiary feedback emphasizes the program’s respon-siveness and the high quality of services, indicating overall success in achieving its goals.

Abstract

This study assesses the impact of ISO 9001:2015 implementation on service delivery and operational efficiency at the National Irriga-tion Administration (NIA) Regional Office VIII. A descriptive research design was employed, utilizing both quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected from 312 internal and external stakeholders through stratified sampling. Descriptive Statistics, and Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) evaluated operational efficiency and stakeholder satisfaction. Key findings show that 65% of respondents reported improvements in operational efficiency, particularly through standardized processes that streamlined workflows. However, 48% indicated that additional documentation requirements slowed down operations. In terms of service delivery, 35% of respondents observed greater consistency and reliability, while 31% experi-enced delays due to the time-consuming nature of compliance procedures. Despite these gains, challenges such as resource con-straints and resistance to change limited full adoption, particularly among senior management. The study highlights that while ISO 9001:2015 enhanced both op-erational efficiency and service delivery, the increased documentation burden and procedural complexity introduced operational slow-downs. These findings offer valuable insights into the dual impact of ISO 9001:2015 in public sector organizations, illustrating its potential for improving service delivery while underscoring the challenges of maintaining efficiency amid compliance demands.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify and evaluate effective strategies for enhancing organizational well-being and employee health among prima-ry and allied healthcare providers in the Philippines, with a focus on develop-ing holistic approaches that address both physical and mental health needs.Recognizing the value of employee well-being in the healthcare sector, in-stitutions are looking for ways to improve employees’ overall health and well-being and subsequently increase their job satisfaction and productivity.This study will assess the strategies and effectiveness of implementing different health promotion programs among primary and allied healthcare providers in the Philippines across different sectors to enhance employee well-being and contribute to organizational productivity and success. This study will assess different areas of employee well-being, such as stress man-agement, mental health support, physical health promotion, and work-life balance. These programs may include a variety of wellness initiatives, such as fitness classes, mental health awareness seminars, health screenings, stress management workshops, and flu vaccination drives. Organizations may build a supportive work environment that promotes employee satisfac-tion, resilience, and optimal performance by understanding the unique is-sues that healthcare professionals confront and implementing focused inter-ventions and targeted solutions.This study will look for effective techniques that can be adjusted to the specific needs of healthcare institutions in the Philippines. The findings will be useful for politicians, healthcare administrations, and human resource officers looking to improve employee well-being and, as a result, patient care quality.

Abstract

This study investigates the effects of social media and e-governance on public service delivery and citizen engagement in the Philippines. It is based on the idea that digital technology can enhance the efficiency, transparency, and trustworthiness of government, thus using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of Technology (UTAUT2) to identify key factors driving adoption among citizens and government bodies. E-governance decreases the costs, errors, and delay in service delivery among Laguna residents, according to data from a survey. Public participation is enhanced by social media with more satisfaction and trust than other traditional media. Together, these tools improve the responsiveness of public policy and effectiveness to the public. Challenges such as infrastructural limitation, digital resistance, and privacy concerns have however been facing full adoption. Policymakers should remove the above barriers to ensure a totally realized benefit of digital governance for a more transparent, efficient, and participatory government.

Abstract

The introduction of digital platforms has reshaped consumer behavior in various industries, and the lottery sector is no exception. While traditional lottery sales have long been a primary revenue source for PCSO, the advent of E-Lotto provides a new, convenient avenue for lottery. This research aims to evaluate the impact of E-Lotto on the sales performance of the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) within the National Capital Region (NCR). Further, this study determines whether E-Lotto serves as a complementary or competing channel for traditional lottery ticket sales and explores the implications of this shift on PCSO’s overall sales strategy. Through a mixed-methods approach, quantitative data on NCR lottery sales were analyzed to identify trends and assess shifts between digital and physical lottery channels. Qualitative interviews with PCSO stakeholders provide additional insights into operational and marketing strategies surrounding E-Lotto implementation. Findings reveal that E-Lotto expanded PCSO’s reach, particularly among younger, urban-based customers who prefer the convenience of online platforms. However, there is evidence that E-Lotto may also cannibalize traditional sales, especially in areas with smartphones and internet penetration. This underscores the need for PCSO to balance digital and physical sales channels effectively to maximize revenue. Recommendations include targeted marketing efforts, enhancing the user experience, and integrating cross-promotions between traditional and E-Lotto channels. By addressing these factors, PCSO can leverage the benefits of E-Lotto without undermining its established sales network. This study’s insights contribute to the broader understanding of digital transformation in gaming public institutions and its implications for sustainable revenue growth.

Abstract

This study explores how Quezon City’s e-governance programs—QC e-services, QCitizen ID, and QC Biz Easy—have improved public ser-vice delivery by making services more efficient, transparent, and accessible. These initiatives offer practical benefits, including easy-to-use interfaces and broad device accessibility, making them adaptable for other Local Government Units (LGUs) interested in digital transformation. The research also addresses challenges, such as limited technology access, funding constraints, and the need for strategies to manage resistance to change. Findings show that Que-zon City’s approach not only enhances local services but also sets a benchmark for other municipalities seeking to innovate and im-prove public service delivery through e-governance.

Abstract

The study aims to explore the relationship between motivation and job performance among government personnel in public sector organ-izations. Specifically, it seeks to understand how various motivational factors influence employee productivity and overall performance in the context of public sector work environments. Motivation theories like Maslow's Hierarchy of Needs (1943) which are composed of five levels of human needs for survival, an individual’s lower-level needs must be satisfied before they can address their higher-level needs. In-trinsic motivation engages a person in an activity for self-satisfaction while extrinsic motivation drives a person to function due to rewards or punishment. This allows us to foresee the incoming demotivator for the personnel and how it affects the performance of the agency where they work. The study used a quantitative research design through a Likert scale questionnaire research instrument. Descriptive statistics and Multivariate Analysis of Variance (ANOVA) were applied to ana-lyze the data, acknowledging potential biases from personal beliefs, professional background, and participant interaction to enhance the study's reliability. The survey results indicated a balanced gender dis-tribution among respondents, falling in the 26 to 35 age group, and most were identified as permanent government personnel. The overall sentiment toward intrinsic motivation and recognition in the work-place was positive, suggesting a healthy organizational climate and a need for improved recognition practices. Additionally, significant dif-ferences in job motivation were noted based on age and length of ser-vice, particularly in the areas of career advancement opportunities and job security. Furthermore, the study reveals that career advancement opportunities are the main motivator for government personnel's job performance, with intrinsic motivation recognized as important, while training programs, performance-based bonuses, and team-building activities are effective strategies for enhancing motivation across diverse demographic profiles.

Abstract

The study, "Exploring the Influence of Quezon City Scholarships on Advancing Educational Equity and Fostering Social Mobility," examines scholarship programs on advancing educational equity and promoting social mobility among Quezon City's underserved communities. Using a mixed-methods approach, it gathered insights from 174 scholarship recipients through surveys and interviews, focusing on how financial aid affects academic achievement, financial stability, and career opportunities. The findings indicate that these scholarships significantly enhance educational access by lowering financial obstacles and fostering long-term social mobility through improved career prospects and economic stability. Respondents expressed a high level of agreement on the program’s positive influence, with recommendations to cover non-tuition expenses and expand outreach for underserved groups. Ultimately, the research underscores the value of localized scholarship initiatives in fostering both individual development and broader community growth.

Abstract

The emergence of technology significantly affects the transformation of how the local government and its citizens interact through the utilization of the e-government services platform. This study focuses on the impact of e-government technologies on citizen engagement and service delivery in the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Caloocan City. The results high-light citizens' perspectives on Caloocan's e-government platform, under-scoring concerns, challenges, and suggestions for improvement. Privacy and security rank highly among citizens’ concerns, while language acces-sibility is less of an issue. However, survey data from 250 respondents highlight that 73% expressed satisfaction with the user interface and design of the e-government platform, while 58% trusted the platform's security and privacy measures, though 10% indicated a lack of trust in the system’s data security. To build on this foundation, respondents sug-gest improvements such as better customer support, clearer communica-tion, and training opportunities that could help boost confidence and en-courage active participation. By means of addressing these areas, the platform could be more effectively support the community’s needs, en-hancing trust and fostering a stronger connection between citizens and the local government.
