Abstract

Introduction : Non-communicable diseases (NCDs) such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and heart disease have become serious global health problems, with increasing prevalence, especially in developing countries such as Indonesia. NCDs contribute to a large proportion of mortality and morbidity, prompting the need for further research to understand the factors contributing to the incidence of these diseases. Objective : To analyze the relationship between physical activity and NCD incidence in Indonesia based on a collection of journals that have been studied. Methods: This research uses Systematic literature review method with The source of information for the article was done through a search from PubMed, ScienceDirect, and Google Scholar published from 2019 to 2024 obtained 13 articles according to the inclusion criteria. Results: The study showed that people with low levels of physical activity have a higher risk of experiencing NCDs, while sufficient physical activity can significantly reduce the risk of NCDs. Conclusions : There is a significant relationship between physical activity and the incidence of NCDs. The need for a more systematic intervention program including counseling and provision of supporting facilities is expected to reduce the prevalence of NCDs and improve the quality of life of the community

Abstract

Introduction: The Ministry of Health's primary healthcare transformation emphasizes a promotive and preventive approach through strengthening Integrated Primary Service Posts (Posyandu) throughout the lifecycle. Posyandu cadres play a crucial role in implementing ILP, but still face competency challenges in delivering integrated services. Digital training is one innovation to efficiently increase cadre capacity. This study aims to analyze differences in Posyandu cadre competency in five Core Training Courses (MPI) before and after participating in digital training in North Lampung Regency in 2025. Methods: The study used a one-group pretest-posttest pre-experimental design through the Plataran Sehat Learning Management System (LMS). The sample size was determined using WHO software using a two-sided hypothesis test for a population mean. Bivariate analysis used the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Results: The analysis showed a significant difference in the competency of Posyandu cadres in all five Core Training Courses (MPI 1–MPI 5) before and after the digital training (p < 0.05). Conclusions: The digital training on Basic Skills for Posyandu Cadres effectively improved cadre competency and needs to be maintained and developed to support the transformation of primary healthcare services.

Abstract

Social media platforms such as Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube have become the main platforms for the promotion of e-cigarettes by influencers, which influences vaping behavior among adolescents. Positive content, such as “vape tricks” and gender-based marketing, reinforces the perception that vaping is safe and attractive. Objective: This study aims to analyze the impact of e-cigarette promotion by influencers on social media on vaping behavior among adolescents (aged 13-23 years) through a systematic review of the literature. Methods: A systematic review was conducted using databases such as ScienceDirect, PubMed, and Google Scholar with keywords such as “e-cigarette promotion”. Inclusion criteria included English-language articles (2020-2025) discussing e-cigarette promotion by influencers on Instagram, TikTok, or YouTube. Literature selection used the PRISMA method, resulting in 10 articles from 835 initial articles after screening for duplication and eligibility criteria. Results: E-cigarette promotion was dominated by content with “vape tricks” and gender-based marketing strategies reinforcing the normalization of vaping. TikTok increased the risk of e-cigarette use, while YouTube promoted product reviews and discounts. The lack of health narratives exacerbated adolescents' knowledge gap about the risks of vaping. Conclusion: Influencer promotion of e-cigarettes on social media increases the normalization and behavior of vaping among adolescents, driven by visual content Strict regulations and social media-based educational campaigns are needed to protect adolescents from the influence of this promotion.

Abstract

Introduction: Mulawarman University Dental Hospital (RSGM Unmul), as a new teaching hospital in East Kalimantan, acts as both oral healthcare services and clinical education. Oral health service utilization of certain populations is still low in East Kalimantan, despite the strategic function of oral health service, it indicates ongoing challenges with regard to access and patient engagement. However, only few studies empirically explore the relationship between specific service management dimensions and patient satisfaction in a dental teaching hospital context, particularly with regard to empathy and responsiveness as related to SERVQUAL. So far, there has been no systematic study at RSGM Unmul, which is obviously an empirical and contextual research gap. Objective: The study aims to determine influence of dental healthcare service management on patient satisfaction at Mulawarman University Dental Hospital Empathy And Responsiveness. Methods: This study had a descriptive-analytic quantitative approach with cross sectional design involving 81 patients in RSGM Unmul that was selected by purposive sampling. Data collection utilized a modified SERVQUAL questionnaire with Likert type responses on the intervals of 1–5. All statistical analyses were performed with SPSS version 25, Mann-Whitney test was applied for comparison of satisfaction levels between patients from rural and urban areas (? = 0.05). Results: Patient satisfaction scores were high for both empathy and responsiveness averaged over rural (empathy 3.95 ± 0.715; responsiveness 3.93 ± 0.722) and urban areas (empathy 4.30 ± 0.640; responsiveness 4.28 ± 0.655). There were no significant regional differences for either dimension of patient satisfaction (p > 0.05), although mean scores tended to be higher among urban participants. Conclusion: Overall, RSGM Unmul has excellent performance in the aspect of empathy and responsiveness on dental healthcare service management resulting in high patient satisfaction levels.
