Abstract

Nahdlatul Ulama (NU), as the largest religious organization in Indonesia, has a strategic role in building the education system in Indonesia after independence. This article aims to examine NU's contribution to the development of education through historical and social transformation perspectives. This study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method, analyzing various historical documents, education policies, and relevant literature. The results of the study show that NU not only contributes to pesantren-based education, but is also active in establishing formal educational institutions, is involved in the formation of the national curriculum, and promotes the values ​​of pluralism and nationalism in education. This article emphasizes the importance of understanding NU's historical role in order to appreciate its impact on social and educational dynamics in Indonesia.

Abstract

TIE DYE, a fabric dyeing technique that combines bright colors and unique patterns, which can be integrated into the context of art learning in elementary schools. At SDN Desa Salakbrojo, Kedungwuni, Pekalongan, the existence of the TIE DYE technique has begun to be introduced in the art education process, providing space for exploration of student creativity through a dynamic, colorful approach. This study aims to analyze the use of TIE DYE as an art learning method that can inspire students, improve fine motor skills, and introduce the concept of art in elementary education at SDN Desa Salakbrojo. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study method. Data were collected through observation, interviews with teachers, and document analysis related to the implementation of the TIE DYE technique in learning. Data sources also include student work produced during the learning process. The results of this study indicate that TIE DYE can be used as an alternative learning method that is fun and effective in improving children's creativity and art skills. The use of this technique also provides new insights into how to integrate batik art into the elementary education curriculum, which can increase students' learning motivation and self-expression. Thus, TIE DYE can be part of the development of innovative art education in elementary schools. Keywords: tie dye reborn, jumputan batik, elementary school

Abstract

This article discusses the urgency of reconstructing interactive and digital-based educational methodologies as a solution to face the ever-changing developments of the times. By looking at the challenges of stagnant traditional education, such as methodological conservatism and lack of utilization of technology, this article uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method to explore various studies related to the use of digital platforms in education. Through an analysis of digital media such as Kahoot! and Duolingo, it highlights how interactive features can increase student engagement, motivate learning, and strengthen critical thinking. Some solutions to overcome the problems of digital media education include; improving technological infrastructure, digital competency training for teachers, and integrating technology with the curriculum as a whole.

Abstract

mathematical instruction often lacks relevance to students’ real-life contexts, necessitating more meaningful and contextualized approaches. This study aims to integrate geometric concepts and ethnomathematics through the utilization of ketupat a traditional Indonesian cultural artifact as a culturally grounded instructional medium. A descriptive qualitative method was employed, using literature review and contextual observation of the geometric structure of ketupat. The findings reveal that ketupat encompasses geometric elements such as symmetry, three-dimensional forms, woven patterns, and calculations of volume and surface area. Moreover, ketupat holds significant symbolic meaning within Indonesian culture, making it a relevant bridge between mathematical concepts and local values. The study concludes that using ketupat as a contextual medium enhances students’ conceptual understanding of geometry and strengthens the integration of cultural values within mathematics education.
