Abstract

Background. Cirebon, as one of the cultural heritage centers in West Java Province, boasts various attractions, including natural, religious, social, culinary, and especially dance-related sites. Sintren dance is a traditional culture that has evolved significantly in the northern coastal area of Java. One of the regions that has this Sintren dance art is Cirebon. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to find out the value of tourist attractions contained in the Sintren dance to the public, especially the younger generation, about the legendary story behind the art of Sintren, in order to attract interest in getting to know this typical Cirebon dance. Method. This research activity is a field study, employing a qualitative research method. The data source is based on the results of observations, interviews, and documentation on the value of tourist attractions contained in the Sintren dance. Result. Many art studios are making efforts to preserve this art by carrying out activities and introducing the Sintren dance through performances on stage. However, the existence of Sintren art is almost forgotten due to the lack of interest among residents in learning this art. Conclusion. With this research, it is hoped that the public's interest in legends and traditional arts will increase, and they will become more interested in preserving traditional culture in Indonesia, especially the art of Sintren in Cirebon

Abstract

Background. Cirebon City, one of the cultural heritage centers in the province of West Java, has various attractions, including natural, religious, community, culinary, and primarily cultural and historical tourism. For this reason, the quality of products and the quality of services provided by the Cirebon City Government play a crucial role in delivering views or perceptions for tourists, both before the tourists come to Cirebon City and after tourists enjoy and use the tourist objects and attractions in Cirebon City. In this case, the perception of tourist satisfaction with tourist objects and attractions in Cirebon City can be measured. Purpose. The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of domestic tourists who visit Cirebon City, to find out the perception of domestic tourists towards tourist attractions in Cirebon City, and to find out the influence of domestic tourist perceptions on the decision to visit tourist attractions in Cirebon City. Method. The data analysis method uses descriptive analysis and logistic regression. Descriptive analysis was carried out to examine tourists' profiles and characteristics, while logistic regression was used to examine the influence of tourists' perceptions related to tourism factors on the decision to visit tourist destinations. Conclusion. The factor that most influences the decision of tourists to return to travel to tourist destinations in Cirebon City is accessibility. The field that gets a perfect perception is the ease of getting transportation, but the problem of obstacles in the journey must still be considered, namely, congestion   Key words: Perception, Visitation Decisions, Tourist Destinations

Abstract

Background. The tourism sector is a potential sector that can be developed as one of the sources of regional income. To increase regional original income, the development and utilization program of regional tourism resources and potential is expected to contribute to economic development. Purpose. The development of tourism villages is not only aimed at diversifying tourism products, but also becomes a strategic instrument for economic equity, job creation, and local community empowerment. Method. The research method used is a qualitative descriptive method with data collection techniques through observation, in-depth interviews and documentation studies. The analysis was carried out by examining the potential tourist attractions, accessibility, amenities, and the role of local communities in the management of tourist villages. Results. The results of the study show that Cirebon Regency has considerable potential for Tourism Villages, especially in aspects of culture, traditional culinary and rural people's lives. Therefore, tourism villages can be one of the strategies to develop tourism in Cirebon Regency. However, the development of Tourism Villages still faces a number of obstacles, such as the limitation of professional human resources, lack of optimal promotion, and uneven support for tourism infrastructure. Conclusion. This study concludes that Tourism Villages have the potential to be a driver of regional tourism development if managed in an integrated manner by involving the government, the community and tourism business actors. Implementation. This research recommendation is expected to be considered in the formulation of tourism development policies in Cirebon Regency.
