Abstract

Whip smut symptoms have emerged in sugarcane plantations in Central Lampung Regency, Lampung Province. However, the identity of the pathogen and its sensitivity to various fungicidal active ingredients remain unclear. This study aims to identify the whip smut pathogen in sugarcane plantations in Central Lampung Regency and evaluate its sensitivity to different fungicidal active ingredients.The research involved morphological and molecular identification of the pathogen, along with sensitivity testing against fungicides containing carbendazim, prochloraz, and mancozeb, as well as plant-based fungicides derived from puyangan (Zingiber zerumbet) and jamuan (Curcuma zedoaria) extracts. Morphological analysis revealed that the whip smut pathogen has septate hyphae, cylindrical sporidia measuring 7.45–18.31 µm in length and 1.63–3.89 µm in width, and round, yellowish-brown teliospores with an average size of 6.39 × 6.66 µm. Molecular identification confirmed that the LA UKN isolate from Central Lampung Regency belongs to Sporisorium scitamineum, with a bootstrap value of 93%. Sensitivity testing indicated that the pathogen is highly susceptible to carbendazim and prochloraz but less sensitive to mancozeb, puyangan extract, and jamuan extract.

Abstract

Waste is the residue from daily human activities and/or natural processes in solid form. Waste management so far has not been in accordance with environmentally conscious methods and techniques, resulting in negative impacts on public health and the environment. Therefore, community involvement is necessary in waste management to ensure it can be run proportionally, effectively, and efficiently. Kampung Baru Village is one of the villages that greatly needs an understanding of beneficial waste management for its surrounding community because there is a considerable amount of household waste that is not properly managed, leading to negative impacts on the surrounding environment. This Community Service aims to provide understanding to the community about the importance of proper household waste management to avoid negative impacts on public health. The activities were conducted in the form of counseling attended by the mothers of the Working Group (Pojka) of PKK Kampung Baru in the Gunung Toar District. The methods used included lectures, discussions, and practical activities such as making Eco bricks and compost. The results of this activity reveal that the community still did not know how to manage household waste properly and correctly. Therefore, the community will be able to apply and utilize household waste in making Eco bricks and compost, thereby avoiding negative impacts on public health and the environment. Abstrak Sampah merupakan sisa dari kegiatan sehari-hari manusia dan/atau proses alam yang berbentuk padat. Pengelolaan sampah selama ini belum sesuai dengan metode dan teknik pengelolaan sampah yang berwawasan lingkungan sehingga menimbulkan dampak negatif terhadap kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan. Sehingga didalam pengelolaan sampah diperlukan peran masyarakat agar pengelolaan sampah dapat berjalan secara proporsional, efektif, dan efisien. Desa Kampung Baru merupakan salah satu desa yang sangat membutuhkan pemahaman tentang pengelolaan sampah yang bermanfaat bagi masyarakat sekitarnya, karena banyak sekali sampah –sampah hasil rumah tangga yang tidak terkelola dengan baik. Sehingga menimbulkan dampak negatif bagi lingkungan sekitarnya. Pengabdian Masyarakat  ini bertujuan untuk memberikan pemahaman kepada masyarakat tentang pentingnya pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga yang benar untuk menghindari dampak negatif bagi kesehatan masyarakat. Kegiatan ini dilakukan dalam bentuk penyuluhan yang diikuti oleh ibu- ibu kelompok kerja (Pojka) PKK Kampung Baru Kecamatan Gunung Toar. Metode yang digunakan adalah ceramah, diskusi dan praktek pembuatan ecobrick dan pupuk lindi. Hasil dari kegiatan ini di ketahui bahwa masyarakat masih belum mengetahui pengelolaan sampah rumah tangga yang baik dan benar, sehingga melalui kegiatan ini masyarakat akan dapat mengaplikasikan dan memanfaatkan sampah rumah tangga tersebut dalam pembuatan ecobrick, pupuk lindi untuk menghindari dampak negatif bagi kesehatan masyarakat dan lingkungan.

Abstract

The filler material in the asphalt mixture has the function of increasing the binding capacity of asphalt concrete, so it can improve stability, the filler mixture can fill the voids between the aggregate particles (Fauziah, 2014). If the material is tested for sieve analysis, it must pass the N0 sieve. 200. In this study the author used coffee husk ash as an asphalt filler, coffee husk ash is the result of burning coffee husk waste after grinding coffee, and the characteristics of this coffee husk ash are not fully utilized, so that with this coffee husk ash can be used as a variation in the use of asphalt filler,This research was conducted at the Civil Engineering Study Program Laboratory, Buchori Building 3, Bina Darma University, Palembang, located on Jl. Jendral Ahmad Yani No. 15, 9/10 Ulu, Lintas Ulu 1 sub-district, Palembang city, South Sumatra. The materials used in this research are as follows: The fine aggregate used is stone ash that passes through sieve no. 8 and stuck no. 200, Coarse Aggregate used is split stone/crushed stone retained on filter no. 8, Rubber Asphalt Sir 20 obtained from PT. Sumatra Bitumen Modification, Jl. Across Sumatra Muara Enim – Prabumulih, the coffee skin ash is ground by pounding it so that the coffee skin ash can pass through filter no. 200 and can then be used as a filler. Found in Lubuk Dalam Village, Tanjung Sakti PUMI, Lahat Regency, South Sumatra.Reviewing the test results from variations in coffee skin ash, it can be concluded that the influence of the density value on the optimum coffee skin ash is at a percentage of 2% with a value of 2.242 gr/cc. Meanwhile, based on the Marshall parameter test results in terms of variations in coffee skin ash, it can be concluded that the influence of the stability value on the optimum coffee skin ash is at a percentage of 4% with a value of 1679 kg/cmᵌ.

Abstract

Salah satu bentuk pengembangan pariwisata yang menempatkan masyarakat atau komunitas setempat dalam pengelolaannya adalah desa wisata. Pandai Sikek merupakan sebuah Kenagarian (desa) wisata kerajinan yang terdapat di Kecamatan x Koto Kabupaten Tanah Datar Provinsi Sumatera Barat sebagai daerah penghasil kerajinan tenun yang dikenal oleh masyarakat Minangkabau dengan nama “Songket”. Seni kerajinan tenun ini sudah menjadi ikonnya Pandai Sikek yang menjadi tujuan utama wisatawan berkunjung ke daerah ini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi potensi pengembangan  Pandai Sikek sebagai desa wisata kerajinan songket berdasarkan kajian aspek sedian dan aspek permintaan guna memberikan rekomendasi pengembangan Nagari Pandai Sikek kedepannya. Pendekatan yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode campuran, yaitu metode kualitatif untuk mengkaji aspek sediaan (supply), karakteristik masyarakat, serta kebijakan, dan metode kuantitatif untuk mengkaji aspek permintaan wisata (demand). Hasil penelitian menunjukan Pandai Sikek memiliki potensi untuk dikembangkan sebagai desa wisata kerajinan songket, namun perlu perbaikan serta mengoptimalkan terkait aspek sediaan yaitu: elemen aksesibilitas, amenity, promosi, informasi dan kelembagaan.

Abstract

Root and basal stem rot is one of important diseases in sugarcane plantations in South Sumatra and Lampung. This disease is caused by Xylaria sp. The study is aimed to determine the fungicides sensitivity of Xylaria sp. which is associated with root and stem rot disease of sugarcane. The Xylaria sp. was isolated from the stroma and diseased sugarcane stems obtained from PT Gunung Madu Plantations (GMP). The fungicides used were plant base fungicides (puyangan and jamuan) and synthetic fungicides (carbendazim, mancozeb, and chlorothalonil). The Xylaria sp. sensitivity test was carried out by the poison food technique. The doses used are; puyangan and jamuan (10 g/100 mL), carbendazim (2 g/L), mancozeb (3 g/L), and chlorothalonil (1 g/L). The rate of sensitivity change of Xylaria sp. on fungicides was test by subculturing the Xylaria sp. in media containing fungicides at a dose of 9 g/100mL (puyangan and jamuan), 0.1 g/L (carbendazim), and 0.5 g/L (mankozeb) three times. The results showed that the Xylaria sp. which is associated with root and basal stem rot disease of sugarcane is still very sensitive to fungicides puyangan, jamuan, carbendazim, and mancozeb at recommended doses, but is very resistant to chlorothalonil on 2x the recommended dose. The results of the rate of change in sensitivity of Xylaria sp. to fungicides showed that isolate A tended to change more quickly compared to isolate B and isolate C.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital berdampak signifikan pada anak usia dini, khususnya dalam aspek sosial, kognitif, dan psikologis. Penggunaan gadget yang berlebihan tanpa pengawasan dapat menimbulkan risiko seperti keterlambatan bicara, gangguan atensi, dan penurunan kemampuan interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang kampanye sosial berbasis Artificial Intelligence (AI) dan desain komunikasi visual untuk mendeteksi serta mengedukasi masyarakat tentang penggunaan gadget berlebihan pada anak usia dini. Metode penelitian mengintegrasikan pendekatan Design Thinking, analisis Natural Language Processing (NLP), clustering visual, serta A/B testing. Hasil penelitian berupa prototipe kampanye visual edukatif berbasis AI yang divalidasi melalui uji coba bersama orang tua dan pendidik. Luaran penelitian meliputi publikasi jurnal terakreditasi, pembuatan buku panduan, serta pendaftaran Hak Kekayaan Intelektual (HKI). Penelitian ini diharapkan berkontribusi dalam pengembangan strategi kampanye edukatif berbasis teknologi dan desain komunikasi visual yang adaptif terhadap tantangan digital pada anak.
