Abstract

The purpose of this research is to see the results of learning mathematics on flat shapes material after using a realistic mathematics approach in class V of SD Negeri 101766 Bandar Setia. The research method used is Classroom Action Research (CAR). The CAR model used consists of 4 stages, namely planning, action, review (observation), and reflection. The subjects in this study were 22 students of class V-B of SD Negeri 101766 Bandar Setia, consisting of 10 male students and 12 female students. The data collection technique used in this study was observation and test analysis. The results of the study from the implementation of two cycles showed that the percentage of student learning activities increased by 60% in cycle I to 88.5% in cycle II. The percentage of student learning outcomes also increased from 59% (good) in cycle I to 86% (very good) in cycle II. Based on the results of the data analysis obtained, it can be concluded that the realistic mathematics approach can improve student learning outcomes in the mathematics subject of flat shapes material in class V of SD Negeri 101766 Bandar Setia

Abstract

This study aims to develop a T-Pack (Technological Pedagogical and Content Knowledge) based learning tool to improve the literacy skills of Al-Washliyah Muslim Nusantara University students. The learning tools are in the form of Lesson Plans (RPP) and Student Worksheets (LKS). Student worksheets are learning media as a means to train students to think, act and behave like young scientists. This research is a development research and is designed using a 4D model development design and the research subjects are 7th semester students of UMN Al-Washliyah. The instruments used are student response questionnaires, observation sheets, literacy ability assessment instruments. Tpack is a learning model that is currently often used in the world of education. The practice of implementing this method includes mastery of technology, pedagogy and knowledge of learning content. Data collection will be carried out to obtain accurate and objective data through observations on the UMN Al-Washliyah campus. The results of the study indicate that the development of TPACK-based learning tools is quite effective in improving literacy skills, with a score of 121, meaning that observers give a good category interpretation with a value of A, while the percentage is 89%.

Abstract

Many junior high school students do not understand the importance of writing for student achievement. This study intends to determine whether or not the use of the Canva application is effective as a medium for student achievement in writing. This research uses quantitative methods. The instruments used in this study were interviews and tests. Respondents in this study were students of class VIIIA and class VIIIB of SMP Negeri 3 Mardingding. The results showed that the effectiveness of Canva on students' writing skills was that there were 25 students in class VIIIA and 25 students in class VIIIB, and class VIIIB learned to write using Canva in the computer laboratory. and class VIIIA don't use canva. It turns out that learning to use Canva is more effective than not using Canva. class VIIIB understands and understands Canva better because they directly use it, this can be seen from the test results that students are more creative in writing compared to students who do not write from Canva.

Abstract

This study investigates the effect of a Culturally Responsive Teaching (CRT) approach integrated with audio-visual media on students' vocabulary mastery at SMP Dharma Wanita Medan. A quasi-experimental method was employed involving 80 eighth-grade students divided into control and experimental groups. The experimental group received instruction through CRT-based audio-visual materials, while the control group was taught using conventional methods. Data were collected using pre-tests and post-tests and analyzed with an independent sample t-test. The findings showed a statistically significant improvement in vocabulary scores in the experimental group (Sig. 2-tailed = 0.004), highlighting that culturally relevant media can significantly enhance vocabulary acquisition, motivation, and student engagement. This demonstrates that the integration of CRT with audio-visual media is effective in promoting student engagement, contextual learning, and vocabulary retention in EFL settings. The study recommends that educators adopt CRT principles and utilize localized audiovisual content to foster inclusive and meaningful language learning experiences.
