Abstract

Ternate City, as one of the regions with a majority Muslim population, has a great potential for zakat which can be utilized as a pillar for strengthening the people’s economy in an effort to encourage sustainable development. Therefore, this study specifically examines the practice of zakat management, the challenges of utilizing productive zakat for empowering the people’s economy, as well as its impact on community economic empowerment as an effort to promote sustainable development in Ternate City. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through problem-solving. The results show that zakat management in Ternate City is carried out with full trustworthiness and professionalism. The utilization of productive zakat in Ternate City faces several challenges, including the lack of specific regulations, limited incentives for zakat management institutions, and the low public understanding of productive zakat. Furthermore, productive zakat in Ternate City can provide an impact on economic empowerment to encourage sustainable development in Ternate City. ABSTRAKKota Ternate sebagai salah satu daerah dengan mayoritas penduduk beragama Islam memiliki potensi zakat yang sangat besar yang dapat digunakan sebagai pilar penguatan ekonomi umat dalam upaya mendorong pembangunan berkelanjutan. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini secara khusus mengkaji praktik pengelolaan zakat, tantangan pendayagunaan zakat produktif terhadap permberdayaan ekonomi umat, serta dampanya terhadap pemberdayaan ekonomi umat sebagai upaya mendorong pembangunan berkelanjutan di Kota Ternate. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif deskriptif melalui pemecahan masalah. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa Pengelolaan zakat di Kota Ternate dilakukan secara penuh Amanah dan professional. Pendayagunaan zakat produktif di Kota Ternate menghadapi tantangan di antaranya kurangnya regulasi yang spesifik, minimya insentif lembaga pengelola zakat serta rendahnya pemahaman masyarakat tentang zakat produktif. Selanjutnya, zakat produktif di Kota Ternate mampu memberikan dampak terhadap pemberdayaan ekonomi dalam upaya mendorong pembangunan berkelanjutan di Kota Ternate.

Abstract

This research aims to design and propose a futuristic Islamic Economic idea in Indonesia namely sharia society market. This research was complied using descriptive qualitative method with causal comparative and development manner. This research result demonstrates the design model of sharia society market in terms of concept and application. This idea organizes several dimensional approaches such as sharia, fiqh, economic, and anthropology. The Sharia Society Market has prepared as a revolution in the halal real sector business axis of society in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims to evaluate the economic value of the Guraping mangrove forest in Sofifi, Indonesia, and its alignment with blue economy principles and Maqaṣid al-Sharia objectives. This research uses a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative and qualitative methods. Data were collected through surveys using questionnaires from 100 tourists, interviews with key informants, observations, and literature reviews. The results of the valuation economy support the concept of the blue economy and Maqaṣid al-Sharia. Guraping's mangrove forests positively contribute to the blue economy with direct and indirect use values. Besides, this economic valuation is also relevant in achieving Maqaṣid al-Sharia goals that emphasize the conservation of nature and sustainable socio-economic well-being. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi nilai ekonomi hutan mangrove Guraping di Sofifi, Indonesia, serta kesesuaiannya dengan prinsip ekonomi biru dan tujuan Maqaṣid al-Sharia. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan campuran, yang menggabungkan metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data dikumpulkan melalui survei dengan kuesioner kepada 100 wisatawan, wawancara dengan informan kunci, observasi, dan tinjauan pustaka. Hasil penilaian ekonomi mendukung konsep ekonomi biru dan Maqaṣid al-Sharia. Hutan mangrove Guraping memberikan kontribusi positif terhadap ekonomi biru melalui nilai pemanfaatan langsung dan tidak langsung. Selain itu, penilaian ekonomi ini juga relevan untuk mencapai tujuan Maqaṣid al-Sharia yang menekankan konservasi alam dan kesejahteraan sosial-ekonomi yang berkelanjutan.
