Abstract

This study aims to analyse the development and impact of pop-up book media in education over the past four decades, focusing on their effectiveness as pedagogical tools for enhancing learning experiences among young readers. A bibliometric analysis was conducted using data sourced from Scopus, examining 117 articles related to pop-up books and education. The analysis employed performance assessment and science mapping techniques to evaluate research contributions and relationships within the field. The findings reveal that pop-up books engage young readers through interactive, tactile, visual, and textual modalities, significantly improving reading literacy and comprehension. They have been effectively integrated into various subjects, including language and art, and have shown positive outcomes in enhancing creativity and cognitive abilities among children. However, challenges such as high production costs and limited accessibility remain. The study underscores the potential of pop-up books as effective educational resources, advocating for their broader implementation in early childhood education. It suggests that educators and curriculum developers should consider incorporating pop-up books to foster engagement and improve learning outcomes. This research contributes to the existing literature by providing a comprehensive bibliometric overview of pop-up books in education, highlighting their evolving role and the need for further exploration of hybrid learning tools that combine physical and digital elements.

Abstract

The purpose of the study is to apply the application of Tri Hita Karana in elementary school learning. The research method is a literature review. The results of the study found eight articles containing the application of Tri Hita Karana in elementary school learning, in the study one type of classroom action research, two experimental studies and five types of development research. The conclusion in this study found classroom action research, experiments and development regarding Tri Hita Karana in elementary schools, where Tri Hita Karana can improve learning outcomes, attitudes, and character of students. It is recommended that further research can teach Tri Hita Karana with inclusive school research samples so that Tri Hita Karana-based learning can be carried out evenly.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengadakan penelitian tindakan kelas dengan judul “Upaya Meningkatkan Keaktifan Siswa Dalam Pembelajaran Materi PPKn Melalui Penerapan Model Cooperative Learning Tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) Pada Siswa Kelas 5 Semester 1 di SDN 2 Banjar Tengah, Jembrana, Bali. Jenis penelitian ini adalah Quasi Exsperiment. Terdapat 3 variabel dalam penelitian ini yaitu variabel bebas, variabel terikat dan variabel kontrol. Penelitian ini merupakan Penelitian Tidakan Kelas atau PTK (Classrom Action Research). Penelitian ini dilakukan oleh guru yang sekaligus sebagai peneliti di kelasnya dengan jalan merancang, melaksanakan dan merefleksikan tindakan secara kolaboratif dan partisipatif yang bertujuan untuk memperbaiki atau meningkatkan mutu (kualitas) proses pembelajaran di kelasnya melalui suatu tindakan (treatmen) tertentu dalam suatu siklus. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pada siklus II dan III ini penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) telah mengalami peningkatan dari tindakan sebelumnya dan tindakan dinyatakan berhasil. Keaktifan siswa mengalami peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II dan siklus III. Pada siklus I keaktifan siswa belum mencapai target karena ketercapaiannya hanya 23,68%. Kemudian pada siklus II mengalami peningkatan menjadi 71,05% yang berarti bahwa nilai tersebut telah mencapai target yaitu 70% dari 38 orang siswa. Selanjutnya untuk mempertegas hasil observasi pada siklus II, maka peneliti melaksanakan penelitian selanjutnya yaitu siklus III yang ketercapaiannya sebesar 86,84% yang berarti bahwa nilai tersebut telah melebihi ketercapaian pada siklus II (71,05%). Beradasarkan perolehan data di atas, dapat disimpulkan bahwa dengan penerapan model Cooperative Learning tipe Teams Games Tournament (TGT) dapat meningkatakan keaktifan siswa
