Abstract

Pendidikan karakter anak sangat dipengaruhi oleh peran keluarga, terutama melalui pola asuh dan keteladanan orang tua. Pola asuh yang diterapkan orang tua, baik itu otoriter, demokratis, permisif, atau neglectful, memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap perkembangan kepribadian anak. Keteladanan orang tua dalam menunjukkan perilaku positif juga berperan penting dalam membentuk karakter anak, diikuti dengan komunikasi yang efektif dan penghargaan atas perilaku baik. Selain itu, kolaborasi antara orang tua dan guru menjadi faktor penting dalam menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung perkembangan karakter anak secara holistik. Meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti kesibukan orang tua dan pengaruh luar, komitmen yang tinggi dalam pendidikan karakter akan menghasilkan generasi yang lebih bertanggung jawab dan berintegritas. Children’s character education is highly influenced by the role of the family, particularly through parenting styles and parental role models. The parenting style applied by parents, whether authoritarian, democratic, permissive, or neglectful, has a significant impact on the development of children’s personalities. Parental role modeling in demonstrating positive behaviors is also crucial in shaping the character of children, along with effective communication and the appreciation of good behaviors. Furthermore, collaboration between parents and teachers plays an important role in creating an environment that supports children’s holistic character development. Despite challenges such as parental busyness and external influences, a strong commitment to character education will result in a more responsible and integrity-driven generation.

Abstract

Students in contemporary higher education face increasing emotional stress and ‎spiritual challenges, while traditional pedagogical models largely emphasize ‎cognitive outcomes, leaving holistic development insufficiently addressed. This ‎study investigates the potential of Islamic psychopedagogy to foster emotional ‎and spiritual well-being among university students, focusing on its theoretical ‎foundations and practical applications within higher education contexts. Using ‎a qualitative, literature-based approach, the research synthesizes insights from ‎Islamic educational thought, psychology, and modern pedagogical practices. ‎Findings reveal that Islamic psychopedagogy provides an integrative ‎framework that enhances students’ emotional resilience, spiritual awareness, ‎and ethical responsibility. By embedding these principles into curriculum ‎design, teaching strategies, and student-centered learning environments, this ‎approach supports the development of holistic learners who are morally ‎grounded, emotionally balanced, and academically competent. The study ‎highlights Islamic psychopedagogy as a culturally relevant and transformative ‎paradigm, offering valuable guidance for inclusive, value-based, and well-being-‎centered higher education. ‎
