Abstract

One way to measure education quality is to evaluate students' learning outcomes. Therefore, this study aims to determine the effect of student stress levels and mobile technology acceptance levels on their learning outcomes. This research method used two methods, namely the Chi-Square method and the correlation method. The Chi-Square method tests the following hypotheses: (a) is there a significant effect between student stress levels and their learning outcomes? (b) is there a significant effect between students' mobile technology acceptance level and learning outcomes? Meanwhile, the correlation method used to test the hypothesis is as follows: (c) is there a significant correlation between the stress level of students and their learning outcomes? Moreover, (d) Is there a significant correlation between students' mobile technology acceptance level and learning outcomes? The Chi-Square results for testing hypothesis (a) show that there is a significant influence between the stress level of students and student academic performance. The Chi-Square results for testing hypothesis (b) show no significant effect between the level of mobile technology acceptance and student academic performance. The correlation result for testing hypothesis (c) shows a significant negative correlation between student stress levels and academic performance. The correlation result for testing hypothesis (d) shows a significant positive correlation between the mobile technology acceptance level and students' academic performance

Abstract

Abstract

Vocational High Schools (SMK) play a strategic role in preparing competent graduates who are ready to enter the workforce. However, there remains a gap between graduates’ competencies and the needs of the business and industrial sectors (DUDI), which continue to evolve dynamically. Therefore, industry involvement in the development of SMK curricula is a key strategy for enhancing the relevance of vocational education to the demands of the workforce. This study aims to examine the role and forms of industry involvement in the SMK curriculum development process to improve graduate competencies. The research method used is a literature review analyzing various scientific articles and research findings related to partnerships between schools and industry in the field of vocational education. The results of the study show that industry involvement can be carried out through various forms of cooperation, such as aligning curricula based on industry needs, implementing industrial work practices (Prakerin), developing industrial classes, and industry participation in evaluating student competencies. This collaboration is able to increase the relevance of learning material to the needs of the world of work, strengthen technical and non-technical skills such as work discipline, communication and adaptability, and increase graduates' work readiness.

Abstract

The development of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in education has become a driving factor in the transformation of learning in Vocational High Schools (SMK), particularly in the implementation of the Independent Curriculum, which emphasizes flexible, student-centered, and technology-based learning. This study aims to analyze the integration of Artificial Intelligence in the Independent Curriculum in vocational high schools and identify the benefits and challenges in its implementation. The research method used is a qualitative approach through a literature review by reviewing various relevant scientific articles from 2023–2025. The results of the study indicate that the use of Artificial Intelligence, such as in the creation of teaching modules, interactive learning media, and the use of generative Artificial Intelligence in the learning process, can improve learning effectiveness, cognitive competence, creativity, and student work readiness in the digital era and Society 5.0. In addition, Artificial Intelligence integration also supports the implementation of project-based and problem-based learning, which align with the principles of the Independent Curriculum. However, its implementation still faces various obstacles, such as limited technological infrastructure, teacher readiness and competence, and the suboptimal policies and integration of the Artificial Intelligence -based learning system. Therefore, a targeted strategy is needed, strengthening teacher training, and developing educational infrastructure and policies so that the integration of Artificial Intelligence in the Independent Curriculum can run optimally in improving the quality of education in vocational schools.

Abstract

Vocational specialization in Vocational High Schools (SMK) aims to equip students with competencies aligned with their chosen fields of expertise. However, in practice, not all students continue their higher education in study programs that are relevant to their vocational majors. Therefore, this study aims to analyze various factors influencing SMK students’ decisions in choosing university study programs, both linear and non-linear to their previous educational background. The data collection method in this research was conducted through a literature review of various relevant scientific articles. Nevertheless, several studies indicate that mismatches in study program selection are influenced by various factors, such as personal interests, family encouragement, as well as the development of information and career opportunities.
