Abstract

Secondary influence on supercritical flow with a Froude number > 1, which flows at the bottom of the canal surface of the concrete lining, has a secondary effect, which causes contour line protrusions and velocity with a wavy pattern of the average velocity distribution across the wet perimeter. Supercritical flow can transition to sub-critical flow through a hydraulic jump phenomenon that is detrimental to flow rate. This research is recommended as an innovation for optimum discharge efficiency and flow depth parameters in an open canal in an irrigation system. This research method involves physical testing with a 1:40 scale flume on a prototype in the laboratory so that detailed profiles of instantaneous and vertical flow velocity are observed using a 16 Mhz Acoustic Doppler Velocimeter (ADV) to obtain flow characteristics. Then, the modified wake-log law on the bottom and surface of the flow is analysed in the flume within 5 hours of flow to determine the increase in the more stable sediment fraction per hour. The research results show that the ratio of width (b) and depth of flow (h) can significantly increase the strength of the secondary flow with an ideal b/h ratio that can provide discharge flow efficiency based on Froude number = 2.2 and Reynolds 2500 - 2600 can be efficient up to 46% is required Q: 1.26 l/s, flow speed 10.79 cm/s so that the flow is in a laminar to turbulent transition position and does not trigger sedimentation in the wet perimeter of the canal.

Abstract

Fluid flow separation occurs when the fluid flow encounters an obstacle or changes direction, causing the fluid particles to slow down or change direction. This change in velocity can cause fluid particles to move away from the boundary layer, leading to vortices forming. This type of flow separation can occur when the fluid encounters an area of adverse pressure gradient, which can cause the fluid to slow down and flow in the opposite direction. In this research. A case study of one of the irrigation intake structures with curved horizontal alignments with imperfect radians. Trace anomalies in longitudinal sections that require a dispersivity specification that combines the effects of vertical shear dispersion and horizontal turbulent diffusion. This research aims to determine the effect of turbulence dispersion and diffusion on offtake structures with anomalous flow parameters and curved horizontal alignments that carry aquatic trees and debris. The research methods begin 1) Mapping canal and structure alignments using HEC-RAS numerical modelling, 2) Analysis using the Vertically Averaged and Moment (VAM) equation to describe the distribution of hydrostatic forces in cross sections to determine vertical dispersion and 3) Analysis of Reynolds number (Re) which influences turbulence in the flow so that waste does not pass downstream of the canal and has the potential to enter the secondary canal. This research provides recommendations for the efficiency of flow discharge in the canal that crosses the intake structures without reducing supply for irrigation but without creating flow turbulence that is detrimental to discharge drainage operations.

Abstract

The VUCA (Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity, Ambiguity) era is transforming into BANI (Brittle, Anxious, Non-linear, Incomprehensible), presenting complex challenges for family education. This research aims to analyze the relevance of Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy (Ing Ngarso Sung Tuladla; Ing Madya Mangun Karsa; Tut Wuri Handayani) in the context of family education (child-rearing behavior) in the era of VUCA transition towards BANI through various philosophical perspectives. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method (library research) and phenomenological research type. Secondary data were collected from various relevant sources such as books, scientific journals, and articles. Data analysis was conducted using content analysis techniques and phenomenological interpretation, which included data reduction, data categorization, data interpretation, data synthesis, and phenomenological reflection. The research data is presented based on the perspective of the interpretive framework (Postpositivism, Constructivism, Transformative, Pragmatism, and Critical) and the framework of belief (Ontology, Epistemology, Axiology and Methodology) The results show that Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy has potential relevance in the context of family education in the era of VUCA transition to BANI. The concept of Ing Ngarso Sung Tulodho emphasizes the role of parents as role models. Ing Madya Mangun Karsa highlights the importance of building motivation and active participation of children. Tut Wuri Handayani underscores supporting and empowering children according to their potential. Ki Hajar Dewantara's philosophy offers a relevant guideline for family education in facing the complexity of the VUCA era towards BANI evidenced by a framework of beliefs and a framework of interpretation.
