Abstract

Abstract The purpose of this study is to examine the variables that affect business value. These elements consist of company size, leverage, profitability, liquidity, and dividend policy as a moderating variable. Non-financial enterprises that were listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange between 2021 and 2023 make up the research's population. Purposive sampling was used to choose the sample, and 102 businesses satisfied the requirements. Multiple regression analysis is used in the study to process the data. The results show that business value is highly impacted by profitability, liquidity, profitability, and leverage, all of which are regulated by dividend policy. On the other hand, firm value is not significantly impacted by liquidity, leverage, firm size, dividend policy, or firm size moderated by dividend policy.

Abstract

Poverty is the thorny issue that occurs every year in East Nusa Tenggara Province. Poverty alleviation is identified as one of the main goals of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Various steps have been taken to achieve this goal. One of the factors that trigger the increase in poverty is inadequate access to the fulfillment of the community's basic needs. This study aims to analyze the impact of limited access to basic community needs on poverty in East Nusa Tenggara using an empirical approach. Accessibility to basic needs is measured through variables such as life expectancy at birth, per capita expenditure, average years of schooling, and expected years of schooling. This study uses panel data analysis technique using fixed effect model. The findings of this study show that improvements in these variables, namely life expectancy at birth, per capita expenditure, and expected years of schooling, contribute to poverty alleviation in East Nusa Tenggara. Limited access to health services has an adverse impact on life expectancy at birth. Conversely, high levels of employment are expected to increase per capita expenditure in East Nusa Tenggara, thereby improving welfare and reducing poverty levels.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze gender-based differences in Employee Green Behavior (EGB) among Muslim employees. EGB refers to pro-environmental actions voluntarily undertaken by employees in support of environmental sustainability in the workplace. This study used a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional survey design and involved 226 Muslim respondents (111 men and 115 women) from various industrial sectors in Indonesia. The instrument used was a five-item EGB scale adapted from Norton et al. (2015), with a reliability of α = 0.83. Data analysis was conducted using an independent t-test to test differences in EGB scores based on gender. The results showed that there were significant differences in most dimensions of EGB, with female employees consistently showing higher scores than male employees. The largest difference was in the habit of bringing reusable cutlery/drinking utensils. This finding reflects the influence of gender identity and religiosity in shaping environmentally friendly behavior. The Islamic perspective that places humans as caliphs on earth is an important ethical foundation for Muslim employees in internalizing ecological responsibility. This study suggests the importance of developing sustainability programs that are sensitive to gender differences and religiosity, as well as the need for specific strategies to increase male employees' engagement in environmentally friendly behaviors in order to achieve organizational sustainability goals more inclusively and effectively.
