Abstract

This introduction explains the important role of public relations as a bridge between organizations and the public, described as a professional profession with ethical responsibilities. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature review method to explore ethics in public relations from an Islamic perspective, which consists of six fundamental moral principles that public relations practitioners must uphold. Additionally, an investigation into social responsibility in public relations is discussed, referencing the historical and theoretical connections of public relations practices that have existed since the time of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). Each phase in public relations management, from research to evaluation, demonstrates the importance of ethics and social responsibility in the effectiveness of communication and the development of positive relationships with the public, which in turn contributes to the achievement of organizational goals.

Abstract

Islamic education is basically a step in the right direction. This improvement, which has occurred since the Prophet Muhammad SAW lived until recently, was the result of completed direction from Allah. Numerous Muslim academic experts have focused their attention on Islamic education and have produced numerous publications in this area. K.H. Ahmad Dahlan placed Muslims at the center of science, while K.H. Hasyim Asy`ari prioritized religious education over general education. K.H. Ahmad Dahlan presented two ideas regarding the outcomes of Islamic education: the creation of intellectual ulama and the intellectual ulama itself. According to K.H. Hasyim Asy`ari and K.H. Ahmad Dahlan, the idea of Islamic education is highly helpful in expanding Islamic education in this nation and can result in Muslims who are whole and true to their nature. Furthermore, it is a very good idea to implement in this country since the concept they developed can help shape a progressive society or pupils who can meet the problems of this globalized period

Abstract

Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kepemimpinan dan pendakian gunung siswa melalui Pelatihan Kepanduan Penghela Hizbul Wathan (HW) di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Lekok, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Metode yang digunakan adalah Participatory Action Research (PAR) dengan melibatkan 20 siswa aktif HW, dua pembina, dan satu guru kesiswaan sebagai kolaborator. Kegiatan dilaksanakan selama tiga bulan (Juli–September 2025) melalui tiga siklus tindakan: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi, dan refleksi. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, wawancara, dokumentasi, serta kuesioner pre-test dan post-test . Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada aspek keterampilan kepemimpinan sebesar 34,4%, dan keterampilan pendakian gunung sebesar 55,8%. Peserta menunjukkan peningkatan dalam komunikasi, tanggung jawab, pengambilan keputusan, serta kemampuan teknis seperti navigasi darat, penggunaan tali-temali, dan manajemen risiko di alam terbuka. Pendekatan PAR terbukti efektif dalam menumbuhkan partisipasi aktif, kolaborasi, dan rasa tanggung jawab peserta. Selain keterampilan teknis, pelatihan ini juga berfungsi sebagai sarana pelatihan karakter dan spiritual berbasis nilai-nilai Islam seperti amanah, ukhuwah, dan tanggung jawab sosial. Dengan demikian, pelatihan kepanduan berbasis pendakian gunung dapat menjadi model pendidikan karakter terintegrasi di sekolah kejuruan, sejalan dengan semangat Merdeka Belajar dan penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila .

Abstract

This community service activity aims to improve students' leadership and mountaineering skills through Hizbul Wathan (HW) Scout Training at SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Lekok, Pasuruan Regency. The method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR), involving 20 active HW students, two coaches, and one student affairs teacher as collaborators. The activity was carried out over three months (July–September 2025) through three cycles of action: planning, implementation, observation, and reflection. Data were collected through participatory observation, interviews, documentation, and pre-test and post-test questionnaires. The results showed a significant increase in leadership skills of 34.4% and mountaineering skills of 55.8%. Participants showed improvement in communication, responsibility, decision-making, and technical skills such as land navigation, rope work, and risk management in the outdoors. The PAR approach proved effective in fostering active participation, collaboration, and a sense of responsibility among participants. In addition to strengthening technical skills, this training also served as a means of character and spiritual development based on Islamic values such as trustworthiness, brotherhood, and social responsibility.   Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kepemimpinan dan keterampilan mendaki gunung siswa melalui Pelatihan Pramuka Hizbul Wathan (PW) di SMK Muhammadiyah 2 Lekok, Kabupaten Pasuruan. Selain memperkuat keterampilan teknis, pelatihan ini juga berfungsi sebagai sarana pengembangan karakter dan spiritual yang berlandaskan nilai-nilai Islam seperti amanah, persaudaraan, dan tanggung jawab sosial.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of the Problem-Based Learning (PBL) method on the ability to understand the concept of Sufism of students at the Islamic Religious Education Study Program, Sunan Giri University, Surabaya. The background of this study is based on the problem that abstract and philosophical Sufism learning is often difficult for students to understand if it is only taught through conventional lecture methods. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental method and a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The research sample consisted of 60 students who were divided into an experimental group with PBL learning and a control group with conventional learning. Data collection instruments were in the form of a Sufism concept understanding test, observation sheets, and student response questionnaires. The results of the analysis showed that the application of PBL significantly increased the average score of understanding the concept of Sufism compared to conventional methods with a calculated F value of 28.74 and an effect size of 0.67. Observation and questionnaire data also support that PBL encourages active participation and helps students relate the concept of Sufism to contemporary spiritual problems. The implications of this study indicate that PBL can be an alternative effective learning method to ground Sufism teachings in Islamic higher education environments. In addition to being relevant in Indonesia, the PBL model has the potential to be adapted in various international and cross-cultural contexts to support more contextual, reflective, and applicable spiritual learning.
