Abstract

This study analyzes customer protection policies in Islamic digital banks in Indonesia within the framework of Islamic economics. The research focuses on evaluating the effectiveness of policies implemented to protect customers, particularly in the areas of personal data security, information transparency, and dispute resolution mechanisms. Using a literature review method, the study finds that most Islamic digital banks in Indonesia have implemented protective measures, including data encryption technology, provision of product information, and customer complaint systems. However, challenges remain, such as limited customer understanding of Islamic terminology and the need for improved efficiency in complaint resolution. This study recommends enhancements in data security education, simplification of language, and utilization of technology in customer service. The findings are expected to assist Islamic digital banks in improving the quality of customer protection and strengthening trust in Islamic digital banking services that align with Sharia principles.

Abstract

Poverty in Indonesia is a complex problem for the government which is caused by low income levels that lead to economic vulnerability for families. Many Indonesians, who are predominantly Muslim, tend to underestimate household financial management. This study aims to provide an understanding of financial literacy from an Islamic economic perspective, focusing on the financial management of Muslim families to build strong economic resilience and maintain family welfare. This research method is qualitative literature-based research. The study's results show that the financial management of Muslim families is based on the concept of maqashid sharia and avoid elements of usury, maysir, and gharar to achieve both worldly and spiritual well-being. Islamic principles such as mudharabah, musyarakah, ijarah, qardhul hasan, wakalah, and kafalah can be applied to achieve maqashid sharia. Additionally, the Sakinah Finance model can stabilize the finances of Muslim households. The main challenges in family financial management include a lack of transparency and poor communication between family members. Therefore, family asset management can be implemented by maintaining balanced budget allocations, such as for income, needs, desires, education, inheritance, grants, endowments, and emergency funds.

In Indonesia, Mikro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) are one of the important pillars in Indonesia’s economic development where they make a large contribution to the country’s economy. In the dynamics of   the global economy, the resilience and stability of the country’s economy not only depends on the size of the corporate sector, but also on the strength of the MSMEs sector, which is an important foundation. The present study employs a quantitative associative research method, with multiple linear regression analysis used as the data analysis technique. The findings indicate that financial literacy and Islamic financial inclusion have a significant effect on the financial performance of MSMEs in Surabaya. The results further demonstrate that Islamic financial literacy and inclusion contribute directly to the improvement of MSMEs’ financial performance. Therefore, the strengthening of education and access to Islamic financial services needs to be continuously enhanced
