Abstract

Hidayah is a guidance from Allah SWT which is very crucial for human life. Without guidance, people tend to get lost in their journey. Many people reject Allah's guidance and choose the wrong path, even though they claim to be Muslims. Therefore, it is important to understand the nature of people who are guided by Allah. This research applies a library research method with a descriptive approach, where data is collected from various books, reports, and relevant references. The results show that people who are guided by Allah SWT have traits such as obedience to Allah, awareness of the truth, gratitude, tawakal, love for the Prophet Muhammad, and the desire to do good. They also have a forgiving, compassionate nature, as well as being consistent in prayer and accepting Allah's destiny with sincerity.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to reveal how differences in interpretive methodology influence the understanding of temptation, moral resistance, and divine intervention during Prophet Yusuf’s encounter with the wife of the ruler of Egypt. Using a qualitative-comparative method and data analysis, the study finds that Quraish Shihab’s interpretation centers on ethical awareness and human willpower. Meanwhile, Afifuddin Dimyathi places greater emphasis on the spiritual dimension and divine protection as essential elements of moral salvation. The findings indicate that Qur’anic interpretation is influenced not only by methodology but also by the epistemological background of the exegete. This study contributes to the broader discourse of thematic exegesis and Qur’anic hermeneutics, particularly in exploring the roles of morality and spirituality when facing life’s trials, as illustrated in the story of Prophet Yusuf and the wife of Egypt’s ruler. Abstract

Sesajen has been a controversial topic from ancient times to the present. This ritual involves offering food and other objects in religious or customary ceremonies to communicate with supernatural powers. The tradition of sesajen in Islam reflects a cultural heritage with spiritual and religious practices, and an understanding of this tradition is essential to understanding the Islamic view of sesajen. This study explores Ibn Kathir's interpretation of the tradition of sesajen in the context of Surah An-Nisa verse 48, to understand his views and arguments regarding sesajen in Islam. This study uses a literature review to explore Ibn Kathir's perspective on sesajen through his interpretation of the Qur'an. This involves analyzing literature, including Ibn Kathir's works, to detail his arguments and views on the tradition of sesajen. Ibn Kathir's interpretation emphasizes the importance of maintaining the sanctity of worship and warns against deviation from the principle of monotheism, providing valuable guidance for Muslims today. His interpretation contributes to strengthening the religious identity, and countering negative cultural influences while addressing modern challenges.

Abstract

Abstract. In general, every Muslim throughout the world knows the term “takwa”. However, not everyone understands this word comprehensively, especially those found in the Qur’an. Therefore, the author examines the characteristics of takwa people in the QS. al-Baqarah (2): 3-5. Meanwhile, the main source for this article is the book Tafsir Al-Misbah, by Muhammad Quraish Shihab. The type of research is library research, while the method is the tahlili interpretation method. There are four characteristics of a “takwa” person in this verse; First, people who believe in various supernatural things, both absolute supernatural and relative supernatural. Second, people who perform prayers correctly and continuously. Third, people who spend some of God's gifts given to them sincerely at all times and on an ongoing basis. Fourth, people who have always believed in what the Messenger of Allah sent down, namely the Qur’an and what was revealed to the prophets before him, namely the Taurat, the Injill and the Zabur and they are very confident in the inevitability of hereafter such as the existence of reckoning, heaven and hell. The author hopes that this article will become one of the thematic interpretation treasures of Indonesian tafsir scholars. Apart from that, the author also hopes that this article will be able to increase Muslims' insight into the concept of takwa. Keywords: Characteristics, Takwa, Quraish Shihab, Al-Baqarah (2) : 3-5 Abstrak. Secara umum, setiap umat Islam di seluruh penjuru dunia mengenal istilah takwa. Namun, tidak semua memahami kata ini secara komprehensif, khususnya yang terdapat dalam al-Qur’an. Karena itu, penulis mengkaji karakteristik orang yang bertakwa dalam QS. al-Baqarah (2) : 3-5. Sedangkan sumber utama tulisan ini adalah kitab Tafsir Al-Misbah, karya Muhammad Quraish Shihab. Adapun jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian pustaka (library research), sedangkan metodenya adalah metode tafsir tahlili. Terdapat empat karakteristik orang yang bertakwa dalam ayat ini ; pertama, orang – orang yang mempercayai berbagai hal ghaib, baik ghaib mutlak maupun ghaib relatif. Kedua, orang-orang yang melaksanakan shalat secara benar dan berkesinambungan. Ketiga, orang yang menafkahkan sebagian anugerah Allah yang diberikan kepada mereka dengan tulus setiap saat dan secara berkesinambungan. Keempat, orang – orang yang sepanjang saat percaya tentang apa yang diturunkan Rasul Saw, yakni al-Qur’an dan apa yang diturunkan kepada para nabi sebelum beliau saw. yaitu Taurat, Injil dan Zabur serta mereka sangat yakin dengan keniscayaan kehidupan hari akhirat seperti adanya perhitungan, surga dan neraka. Penulis berharap tulisan ini menjadi salah satu khazanah tafsir tematik ulama tafsir nusantara. Selain itu, penulis juga berharap agar tulisan ini mampu menambah wawasan umat Islam tentang konsep takwa. Kata Kunci: Karakteristik, Takwa, Quraish Shihab, Al-Baqarah (2) : 3-5

Abstract

Pemahaman masyarakat terkait bacaan gharib saktah masih belum bisa dikatakan utuh menyeluruh. Sehingga perlu adanya bimbingan bacaan saktah melalui pengabdian kepada masyarakat, berbasis metode Service Learning (SL) untuk memperbaiki pemahaman tersebut. Service-Learning atau SL merupakan aktivitas yang melibatkan pengalaman praktis, pembelajaran akademik serta keterlibatan masyarakat. Adapun masyarakat yang dimaksud dalam penelitian ini adalah anggota Jama’ah Yasin Tahlil Putri “al-Istighosah”, Desa Salakkembang, Kalidawir, Tulungagung. Sehingga mereka dapat mendapatkan manfaat langsung dari PkM tersebut. Hasil pertama dari PkM ini adalah, anggota jama’ah dapat memahami bacaan gharib saktah secara teoritis. Hasil kedua adalah, anggota jama’ah mampu mempraktikkan bacaan gharib saktah sesuai dengan tuntunan. Kata Kunci: Bacaan Gharib, Saktah, al-Istighosah
