Abstract

Pulau Lombok memiliki keberagaman arsitektur, salah satunya terdapat di Desa Sade, Kecamatan Pujut, Kabupaten Lombok Tengah. Desa adat ini telah dihuni selama 600 tahun atau 15 generasi dan masih mempertahankan arsitektur tradisionalnya yaitu Bale Tani. Relevansi Bale Tani yang masih ada hingga 600 tahun membuktikan kenyamanan bagi penghuninya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengevaluasi kenyamanan termal Bale Tani berdasarkan tiga parameter yaitu temperatur suhu, kelembaban udara, dan arus angin. Metode pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode kuantitatif dengan mengumpulkan data primer dan sekunder. Data primer adalah data yang didapatkan melalui pengukuran parameter pada objek penelitian menggunakan alat bantu berupa GPS Temperature & Humidity dan Anemometer. Pengukuran parameter ini dilakukan pada dua Bale Tani dengan kondisi dan posisi yang berbeda sebagai objek penelitian. Bale Tani 1 berada di area yang tidak terkena paparan sinar matahari, dan Bale Tani 2 berada di area yang terkena paparan sinar matahari. Selanjutnya data sekunder didapatkan melalui wawancara bersama pemangku adat Desa Sade sekaligus pemilik Bale Tani. Adapun hasil yang didapatkan dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa perbedaan posisi Bale Tani 1 dan Bale Tani 2 tidak memberikan dampak yang signifikan pada perbedaan suhu, kelembaban, dan arus angin pada kedua bangunan. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini membuktikan bahwa kenyamanan termal pada Bale Tani belum memenuhi standar SNI 03-6572-2001 yang sebagaimana hal ini disebabkan oleh faktor perubahan iklim dan cuaca, serta minimnya bukaan pada Bale Tani yang menyebabkan pergerakan angin di dalam ruangan tidak tersebar secara optimal. Penelitian ini diharapkan dapat berkontribusi dalam pemahaman respon rumah adat terhadap iklim yang terus berubah dan pentingnya adaptasi arsitektur pada perubahan bangunan.

Abstract

Borok Toyang Village, located in the West Sakra District, East Lombok Regency, has a very high potential for livestock farming, especially cattle and goats. However, farmers still face difficulties in providing high-quality feed for their livestock to ensure optimal growth and productivity. The traditional feed used reduces livestock growth and increases production costs. To address this issue, the socialization of elephant grass fermentation, a better livestock feed innovation, was carried out. This activity involves initial observation, socialization, and direct training for farmers in Borok Toyang Village. Observation was conducted to determine the condition of the farms and the feeding patterns. The training included the direct preparation of fermented feed, and socialization was provided through seminars and open discussions about the benefits of fermentation. The results of the activities show that farmers have a better understanding of the importance of innovation in providing livestock feed. It has been proven that the fermentation of elephant grass accelerates livestock growth, improves the nutritional quality of feed, and reduces dependence on expensive commercial feed. Additionally, this method helps ensure the availability of quality feed, especially during the dry season. Some farmers have expressed interest in adopting this method independently and plan to form small groups to share experiences in its implementation. Farmers in Borok Toyang Village hope to independently produce more livestock, reduce production costs, and enhance the village's economic resilience through livestock farming with this socialization and training.
