Abstract

The Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS), which was established on the basis of social justice, benefits, and humanity, is trying to build a program for the Indonesian people called the National Social Security System. In accordance with Law Number 40 of 2004 concerning the National Social Security System, the Social Security Administering Agency (BPJS) was established as a non-profit institution to manage the State's social security program. The community as a whole may not fully understand the implementation of the BPJS program due to the low level of socialization and understanding of the health program. The community has not fully become a BPJS participant, especially those who work in rural areas or as informal laborers (farmers or laborers), because not all of them are registered or have a BPJS card. The purpose of community service is to provide an understanding to the non-formal community regarding the importance of having BPJS Health as a form of affordable and easily accessible health protection, to motivate the non-formal community to join the BPJS health program, and to support increased access for rural communities to quality health services through the use of BPJS health facilities. Community service was carried out in Perbarakan Village, Deli Serdang Regency, with 20 people attending. This activity is effective in empowering the community to access affordable and quality health services through BPJS Kesehatan, although ongoing support is still needed to overcome existing obstacles.

Abstract

Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) is an information technology-based system designed to manage all aspects of hospital operations and administration in an integrated and efficient manner. In the context of administrative services, SIMRS plays an important role in accelerating the registration process, increasing the accuracy of data recording, and facilitating access to information across service units. This study aims to evaluate the effect of SIMRS implementation on the effectiveness of patient administration services at Grandmed Lubuk Pakam Hospital. This study uses a quantitative approach with a cross-sectional design. The sample consisted of 96 respondents, including administrative officers and patients, who were selected by purposive sampling. Data were collected using a closed questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, then analyzed using the chi-square test with the help of SPSS version 18 software. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between SIMRS implementation and increased effectiveness in four main indicators, namely speed of service, data accuracy, ease of access to information, and patient satisfaction. Abstract

habits have not reached their full potential. Washing hands properly is one of the important yet sometimes overlooked hygiene and healthy living practices. Initial observations at Al-Shafa Kindergarten revealed that most students were unable to perform efficient handwashing techniques according to health standards and were unaware of critical times to wash their hands. This can increase the possibility of disease transmission from unclean hands. The purpose of community service is to build good living habits that can stop the spread of disease through dirty hands. The activity method uses an educational and participatory approach through interactive counseling methods, demonstrations, and direct practice, which are designed according to the characteristics of early childhood. Community service was carried out at Al-Shafa Kindergarten, Lubuk Pakam, Deli Serdang Regency, with 16 children. The results of the Community Service activity showed that 81.3% of children were able to mention important times to wash their hands and 75% of children were able to follow the six steps to wash their hands correctly. This shows that this Community Service activity has achieved a success rate (78.15%) in forming children's understanding and basic skills about PHBS. Health education activities on effective hand washing at Al-Shafa Kindergarten have succeeded in increasing the knowledge and skills of early childhood in maintaining hand hygiene. Interactive, fun, and age-appropriate learning approaches have proven effective in forming clean living behaviors from an early age. The involvement of teachers and the school environment is an important supporting factor in the success of this activity. It is hoped that this education can be the beginning of positive habits that are sustainable in the school environment and at home.
