Abstract

Wayang Kulit /Shadow puppetry is one of the arts of Central Javanese society which does not only contain elements of entertainment. More than that, Wayang Kulit hold many philosophical values of life, including character education. The value of character education in Wayang Kulit art is contained in every character who plays a role in it. This research aims to analyze the value of character education in one of the Wayang Kulit characters, namely Puntadewa. Puntadewa is one of the members of the Pandawa (Yudistira/Puntadewa, Bima, Arjuna, Nakula, Sadewa) who are famous in the world of Wayang. The method in this research is descriptive qualitative using library research. The results of this study explain that there are character education values in the Puntadewa character, including being big-hearted, sincere, honest, fair, impartial, and simple. These character education values are positive examples which can then be used as examples for students. Instilling character education values in the character Puntadewa is something that can be done by teachers using various methods.

Abstract

Tujuan dari kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah melakukan Pelatihan Dan Pendampingan Penerapan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5) di SMPN 2 Sukawangi Kabupaten Bekasi, Jawa Barat. Diharapkan dengan pelatihan dan pendampingan ini dapat menambah wawasan dan kompetensi bagi peserta khususnya pada implementasi P5 dalam kurikulum merdeka. Kerangka kerja dalam pelaksanaan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini diawali dengan melakukan observasi melalui wawancara dengan kepala sekolah tentang permasalahan yang dihadapi oleh para guru. Setelah dilakukan observasi teridentifikasi beberapa masalah yang dialami oleh para guru khususnya dalam Penerapan Projek Penguatan Profil Pelajar Pancasila (P5). Berdasarkan hal tersebut tim pelaksana PKM memutuskan untuk melakukan pelatihan dan pendampingan guna membantu mengatasi masalah tersebut sehingga tujuan dari kegiatan ini dapat tercapai. Hal ini juga dibuktikan oleh hasil observasi dan refleksi para peserta terhadap pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu sebesar 88% atau sangat baik.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze and identify the dominant types of figurative language in nine selected poems by William Blake. In this research, the author uses the library method. The theory utilized for analyzing Blake's poems is Tarigan's theory, which categorizes figurative language into four groups, but the author limits the analysis to only one group of figurative language comparison (Simile, Metaphor, Personification, Depersonification, Antithesis, Allegory, and Pleonasm). The author finds the total data, 2 instances or 5% contain similes, 7 instances or 17.5% contain metaphors, 16 instances or 40% contain personification, 0 instances or 0% contain depersonification, 10 instances or 25% contain antithesis, 3 instances or 7.5% contain allegory, and 2 instances or 5% contain pleonasm. Therefore, it can be concluded that the most dominant type of comparative language in Blake's poetry is personification.
