Abstract

Sendang Seloaji Tourist Attraction Herbal Education Park which is located in Slaji Hamlet, Randualas Village, Kare District, Madiun Regency, the herbal education park in the Sendang area has various types of herbal plants such as Mint (Mentha piperita), Stevia (Stevia rebaudiana), Cat's Whiskers (Orthosiphon aristatus), Lavender (Lavandula officinalis), Telang (Clitoria ternatea), Ginger (Zingiber officinale), Nerve leaves (Hemigraphis alternate), Seven Blade Needles (Pereskia bleo (Kunth) D.C.), Red Betel (Piper ornatum), green betel (Piper betle L.), Turmeric (Curcuma Longa), and lemongrass (Cymbopogon citratus). The aim of this community service is to increase public knowledge about the benefits of medicinal plants and increase the attraction of tourists to visit the Sendang Seloaji tourist attraction. The methods used in this community service are socialization/counseling on toga plants and the practice of creating a herbal educational garden. As a result of this service, people are starting to understand the various types of herbal plants that can be used as medicine. They now better understand the importance of healthy living and understand natural treatment alternatives that are more affordable and have minimal side effects, have higher motivation to learn, and are more enthusiastic about planting herbal plants. This program proves that a learning approach that directly involves the community can build unity among each other and increasing the number of tourists at the Sendang Seloaji tourist attraction is expected to improve the economy of the Randualas community.

Abstract

Randualas Village is located in Kare District, Madiun Regency and has abundant potential for corn plant biological resources. The available corn husk waste sometimes only becomes a pile of garbage and has not been utilized optimally. Community service aims to foster insight in the Randualas village community and the economic value of corn husk waste. The method of implementing community service is through socialization and training in making handicrafts from corn waste. The results of this activity are the creation of increased community insight in the management of corn husk waste and the results of handicrafts that have sales value from corn waste. Based on the results of the pre-test and post-test, an increase in insight of 50% was obtained. The handicrafts produced are not only used to beautify the interior of residents' homes but are also sold to increase residents' income. This activity can increase insight, creativity, and income of village residents. The follow-up to this activity will be carried out continuous training and efforts are made so that the handicrafts can be marketed online so that they can improve the economy of Randualas village residents.

Abstract

Health is still an important topic in Karangrejo Village, Wungu District, Madiun Regency. Quoted from the local health center, the level of infectious diseases such as flu and skin diseases is still high. This activity aims to increase knowledge about the cultivation and benefits of the bitter medicinal plant (Andrographis paniculata) for health in Karangrejo Village. The methods used include land surveys, education about the health benefits of these plants, land cleaning, fertilization, as well as planting and cultivation training. The results of the activity showed an increase in public knowledge about the cultivation of the bitter medicinal plant and its benefits for health. In conclusion, the socialization, mentoring, cultivation and use of Sambiloto activities are useful for increasing knowledge about the cultivation and health benefits of the bitter medicinal plant in Karangrejo Village, Wungu District, Madiun Regency.

Abstract

Prevalence of stunting in children in Indonesia at the national level is around 37%. Various efforts are made to reduce and prevent the incidence of stunting, one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. One of One of the micronutrients that is important for child growth is iron. Lack of iron deficiency can cause stunting and impaired cognitive development in children. children. Iron is found in many foods, including watermelon. At Some people dislike the consumption of fruit directly. This becomes a challenge in itself where there needs to be an effort to process watermelon fruit into a dosage form that is favored by children, namely soft candy. One of one of the main ingredients for making soft candy is gelatin which needs to be considered its halalness. Therefore, there is assistance in making watermelon soft candy as halal nutrition to meet the iron needs of children as an effort to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa. to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, Madiun City. The method in this activity begins with a pretest, then socialization and workshops, and ends with a posttest. The pretest results showed that only 9.09%, while the posttest results were 54.55% of residents who understood the knowledge and process of making halal watermelon soft candy for making halal watermelon soft candy for stunting prevention nutrition. This shows an increase in community knowledge after attending socialization and workshop looks different.
