Abstract

Day Care is one form of early childhood education in non formal education program that organize nurturing and social welfare of children from birth up to the age of 6 years. This study aimed to identify the suitability of existing infrastructure in Baby's Home day care with the ACT of Minister of Education and Culture No. 137 of 2014 Article 32 Paragraph 3; and to provide an overview why the planning, maintenance and inventory in Baby's Home day care were not optimal. This study was qualitative research. The subject was Baby's Home day care Salatiga. Technique of collecting data using interviews, observation and documents. Data were analyzed using Miles and Huberman Model. Data validation using triangulation technique of data. Facilities and infrastructure in Baby's Home day care which conform with ACT of Minister of Education and Culture No. 137 of 2014 Article 32 Paragraph 3 of were the area of land, space of activities inside and outside, hand washing facilities, showers and latrines, and access to health facilities. While things were not conform included the bedroom, dining room, and covered trash. The cause of the planning, maintenance and inventory of facilities and infrastructure have not optimally done because the plan was not carried out continuously, the lack of personnel to assist in the maintenance, and did not have the administrative staff specifically for inventory. Advice can be given to Baby's Home day care is to conduct procurement planning infrastructure on sleeping room, dining room and trash. In addition, the maintenance to existing infrastructure must be made as well as the inventory of infrastructure in order to facilitate the planning purchasing.

Abstract

Stunting is another term for poor nutrition. Many studies have been conducted based on nutritious foods that are abundantly available in the home environment, one of which is Moringa leaves. The aim of Community Service (PKM) in the Health sector is because there are cases of stunting in the Cikerai Village, Cibeber District, Cilegon City. This research method was carried out through socialization and health education regarding nutritious foods to prevent stunting. The expected result is that stunting participants, sub-district/village officials, and health workers can support the acceleration of stunting reduction by preventing it through nutritious food from moringa leaves made into nuggets so that stunted children and pregnant women will receive intake from food innovations.

Abstract

Food halalness is essential for Muslim communities, including in Indonesia, where the majority of the population is Muslim. Halal food not only means free from prohibited ingredients, such as pork and alcohol, but must also be processed in accordance with Islamic law. With the increasing consumption of processed products such as nuggets, concerns about the authenticity of raw materials have become an important issue. This research aims to determine and classify the volatile compound profile of beef and pork nuggets for halal authentication using a combination of GC-MS and chemometric methods. The analysis data were processed using a multivariate statistical approach in the form of Principal Component Analysis (PCA), Cluster Analysis (CA), and Partial Least Squares Discriminant Analysis (PLS-DA). The research method used was a laboratory experimental study with a volatilomics approach using a combination of GC-MS and chemometric methods. The results showed significant differences in the volatile compound profiles between the two types of nuggets (with pork samples containing 68 volatile compounds and beef samples containing only 45 compounds), which allowed separation and classification based on chemical composition. Further analysis identified specific volatile compounds that have the potential to serve as markers of halal status. The result of the research was volatile compound profiles of beef and pork nuggets were successfully determined using the GC-MS method, showing differences in composition.

Abstract

Prevalence of stunting in children in Indonesia at the national level is around 37%. Various efforts are made to reduce and prevent the incidence of stunting, one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. one of the efforts to overcome this is the fulfillment of nutrition in children. One of One of the micronutrients that is important for child growth is iron. Lack of iron deficiency can cause stunting and impaired cognitive development in children. children. Iron is found in many foods, including watermelon. At Some people dislike the consumption of fruit directly. This becomes a challenge in itself where there needs to be an effort to process watermelon fruit into a dosage form that is favored by children, namely soft candy. One of one of the main ingredients for making soft candy is gelatin which needs to be considered its halalness. Therefore, there is assistance in making watermelon soft candy as halal nutrition to meet the iron needs of children as an effort to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa, MT Annisa. to prevent stunting in MT Annisa, Madiun City. The method in this activity begins with a pretest, then socialization and workshops, and ends with a posttest. The pretest results showed that only 9.09%, while the posttest results were 54.55% of residents who understood the knowledge and process of making halal watermelon soft candy for making halal watermelon soft candy for stunting prevention nutrition. This shows an increase in community knowledge after attending socialization and workshop looks different.
