Abstract

This research aims to describe in detail the analysis of language errors in descriptive texts at the linguistic level which includes errors in phonology, morphology, syntax, semantics, spelling and punctuation. The method used in this research is a descriptive qualitative method. The data from this research are text descriptions of the work of 30 class VII MTS Bahrul Ulum students, and 5 texts were used as samples in this research. The data collection technique in this research was obtained by requesting data from the school through the teacher concerned. The object of this research is the results of student assignments in the form of descriptive text and then the data obtained is analyzed. Data analysis was carried out by reading, analyzing and classifying the data, then the results of the language error analysis were depicted in tables and conclusions were described. The results of the research show that language errors in the descriptive texts of class VII students at MTS Bahrul Ulum include: 1) Phonology with 7 errors, consisting of phoneme changes and phoneme deletions, 2) Morphology with 4 errors consisting of reduplication, composition and affixation errors, 3) 2 semantic errors consist of the use of non-standard words and unclear meanings, 4) 14 spelling errors consist of errors in the use of capital letters and punctuation errors. 4 times, consisting of errors in placing commas, spaces and periods. Based on the results of this research, researchers hope that it can be used as a reference and feedback for both students who are learners, and more specifically for educators, language users, or even for other researchers.

Abstract

Apart from being a means of entertainment, drama can also be used as a means of learning and as an object of research. The object of study in this research is a drama script by Tatang Sontani entitled "Unfortunately There Are Other People". from the sociological study of literature in the script "Unfortunately There Are Others" by Utuy Tatang Sontani focusing on the analysis of the moral values contained in the drama. This research uses a literary sociology approach to understand how the drama reflects social reality and moral values related to human life. The research results show that the drama "Love There Are Others" expresses various forms of moral values related to human relationships in the social environment of society. This is shown through interactions between characters. This research also shows that the drama can be used as an alternative teaching material in language and literature education in high schools.

Abstract

Bahasa adalah sarana yang digunakan oleh individu dalam kelompok sosial untuk saling berkomunikasi, berinteraksi, dan mengenali jati diri mereka. Bahasa memiliki potensi untuk menghubungkan manusia melintasi waktu dan tempat serta memberikan peluang untuk mengeksplorasi pengetahuan, sejarah, dan tradisi suatu bangsa. Selain itu, bahasa dapat mendokumentasikan berbagai hal dalam bentuk lisan maupun tulisan. Bahasa Indonesia, sebagai bahasa nasional, telah lama menjalankan fungsi-fungsi ini. Sebagai bahasa resmi negara, bahasa Indonesia diatur oleh Kamus Besar Bahasa Indonesia (KBBI). Setiap individu di negara ini memanfaatkan kemampuan bahasa mereka untuk berkomunikasi, baik secara lisan maupun tertulis, dengan berbagai tingkat kemampuan yang ada. Keterampilan berbahasa yang baik akan memungkinkan seseorang mencapai tujuan komunikasinya dengan mudah, sedangkan keterampilan yang lemah dapat menimbulkan kesalahpahaman. Bahasa Indonesia juga berfungsi sebagai simbol identitas nasional yang mencerminkan nilai-nilai sosial dan budaya serta menjadi alat pemersatu bangsa. Pengaruh bahasa asing dan bahasa gaul yang semakin marak dapat menggeser penggunaan bahasa Indonesia sesuai kaidah. Oleh karena itu, pembinaan bahasa Indonesia menjadi sangat penting untuk memastikan masyarakat tetap menggunakan bahasa nasional secara benar dan berkaidah. Melalui pembinaan bahasa, diharapkan muncul kesadaran kolektif akan pentingnya menjaga kemurnian, kelestarian, dan mutu bahasa Indonesia sebagai lambang kebanggaan bangsa serta sarana utama dalam membangun komunikasi yang beradab.
