Abstract

The Miu basin is one of the watersheds located in Sigi District, Central Sulawesi province with an area of 10,471,71 km2. In the last few years, Miu basin frequently got flood disaster and sediment. The change of watershed response to rain due to land use change is pointed to be the cause of frequent floods. It is necessary to overcome the frequent flooding in Miu basin by conducting hydrological analysis to determine the peak discharge change due to land use change. In this study, the analysis of the area of  rain with Polygon Thiessen Method was conducted with the help of ArcGIS 10.3 software. ArcGIS 10.3 software is also used to analyze land use change. The process of diversing the rain into a stream by calculating the effective rainfall (Peff) using the Soil Conservation Service-Curve Number (SCS-CN) Method. For Design Flood is calculated by the Nakayasu HSS Method. The research shows that the value of Curve Number as the determinant variable of land function change at Miu basin of 2003, 2009 and 2014 did not experience significant change. The decrease of flood peak discharge by HSS Nakayasu method in 2003, 2009 and 2014 respectively 525 m3 / sec, 366,4 m3 / second and 154,3 m3 / sec. The decrease in peak flood discharge is due to the fact that in addition to the non-significant land use change, the area rainfall as the input in the flood analysis of the designs of those years decreased from 2003 to 2014.

Abstract

ABSTRAKSungai merupakan sarana yang sangat penting dalam proses pengangkutan sedimen dimana sungai berfungsi untuk mengalirkan material sedimen dari hasil erosi yang nantinya akan diteruskan ke laut. Sungai Pondo - Poboya merupakan salah satu sungai yang berada di Kota Palu yang memiliki panjang mencapai ± 20 km dengan dasar sungai berupa material granuler yang pasti akan mengalami transportasi sedimen secara individu yang disebabkan oleh kecepatan aliran di dalam sungai.Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui besarnya laju angkutan sedimen dasar pada Sungai Pondo - Poboya. Laju angkutan sedimen dasar pada Sungai Pondo - Poboya dihitung dengan menggunakan Metode Meyer-Peter and Muller berdasarkan pada debit banjir rencana periode ulang 5 tahun, 10 tahun, 25 tahun, 50 tahun dan 100 tahun.Hasil analisis memperlihatkan bahwa nilai laju angkutan sedimen dasar terbesar terjadi pada saat debit banjir periode ulang 100 tahun pada Lokasi 2 yaitu sebesar 1,26544 m3/det dan laju angkutan sedimen dasar terkecil terjadi pada Lokasi 3 yaitu sebesar 0,37895 m3/det. Dari hasil tersebut dapat dilihat bahwa pada Lokasi 3 akan terjadi agradasi pada dasar sungai, hal ini dikarenakan jumlah angkutan sedimen yang masuk ke Lokasi 3 lebih besar dari pada jumlah angkutan sedimen yang keluar. Kata Kunci :   Angkutan sedimen dasar, Metode Meyer-Peter and Muller, Agradasi, Sungai Pondo - Poboya.ABSTRACTRiver is a very important means in the process of transporting sediment, where the river serves to drain the sediment material from the erosion that will be forwarded to the sea. Pondo - Poboya River is one of the rivers in Palu which has a length of ± 20 kilometers. Pondo - Poboya river has a basic granular material that will inevitably occur sediment transport caused by flow velocity in the river.The purpose of this study is to know the amount of bed-load sediment transport on Pondo - Poboya River. Bed-load sediment transport on Pondo - Poboya River was analyzed by using Meyer-Peter and Muller Method at the time of flood discharge period of 5 years, 10 years, 25 years, 50 years and 100 years.The result of the analysis shows that the largest bed-load sediment transport at the time of flood discharge period of 100 years occurred at location 2 of 1,26544 m3/s and the smallest bed-load sediment transport occurred at location 3 of 0,37895 m3/s. It is seen that at Location 3 there will be aggradation on the the river bed, this is because the amount of sediment transport coming into location 3 is greater than the amount of sediment transport out. Keywords  :    Bed-load Sediment Transport, Meyer-Peter and Muller Method,  Aggradation, Pondo - Poboya River.
