Abstract

Risk management is crucial in the insurance industry, especially in managing tabarru' funds for education insurance. PT Takaful Keluarga, a company specializing in family and education insurance, faces challenges that may affect its operational stability and sustainability. This study examines the risk management practices applied by PT Takaful Keluarga in managing education insurance tabarru' funds. Using a descriptive qualitative approach, the research gathers data through interviews, participatory observations, and document analysis. The findings show that PT Takaful Keluarga has implemented a holistic risk management strategy, which includes risk identification, evaluation, and mitigation. Identified risks include fluctuations in financial markets, regulatory changes, and high claim risks. The company mitigates investment risks through diversification and financial instruments, while strict underwriting policies are used to manage claim risks. Keywords: risk management; takaful insurance; tabarru' fund; educational insurance; risk mitigation strategies

Abstract

The qualitative research question of this study is to analyse the management of schools in supporting arts education, including the administrative practices, resource dimensions, and leadership factors that may enhance the implement of arts education. The study was therefore intended to improve the understanding of how and to what extent school management impacts on the implementation of arts in learning and school climate. Various forms of data were collected: interviews with 31 school principals and arts teachers, administrative staff, focus group interviews with 115 students and 12 parents, and document analysis of school policies, schedules and documents that concern arts education. The study shows that schools, which have clear and strong arts education polices, are in a better place to sustain quality arts instruction. Further, the schools which have separate funds and budgets for the arts and those in which the principals and head teachers positively perceive the worth and importance of the arts usually have more effective and viable learning programs. This research fills the existing literature voids by focusing on the central issue of leadership for appreciable arts climate in schools as well as harmonisation of academic and arts pursuits. The study offers insights to educators and policymakers involved in the provision and development of arts education hence providing tangible suggestions on policy advancements as well as resource and leadership matters. Thus, the present research expands the discussion of how schools may include arts education successfully to become a part of curriculum as one of the foundational elements of learning experiences.

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian eksperimen semu (quasi eksperiment) yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media audio visual (Video) terhadap hasil belajar matematika siswa. Penelitian dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 1 Libureng Kabupaten Bone dengan populasi sebanyak 282 siswa. Melalui teknik purposive sampling, didapatkan sampel penelitian sebanyak 53 siswa, terdiri dari 25 siswa kelas IX.A sebagai Kelas kontrol dan 28 siswa kelas IX.B sebagai kelas eksperimen. Penelitian ini berlangsung selama pandemi COVID-19 sehingga segala aktivitas pembelajaran dilakukan dengan sistem Daring menggunakan google classroom. Kelas kontrol diberikan perlakuan sebagaimana yang biasa dilakukan oleh guru mata pelajaran matematika yakni pembelajaran menggunakan media gambar. Sedangkan kelas eksperimen menggunakan media audio visual. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini yakni berupa tes hasil belajar yang terdiri dari pretest dan posttest. Hasil penilitian menunjukkan rata-rata hasil belajar matematika siswa setelah pemberian pretest pada kelas kontrol sebesar 59,60 dan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 58,57. Sedangkan hasil posttest menunjukan rata-rata hasil belajar siswa pada kelas kontrol sebesar 65,60 dan pada kelas eksperimen sebesar 75,71. Berdasarkan uji normalitas, hasil pretest dan posttest siswa pada kelas kotrol maupun kelas eksperimen berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Uji-t menunjukkan nilai sig. (2-tailed) sebesar 0,024 < 0,05 sehingga H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima yang berarti terdapat perbedaan nilai rerata posttest antara kelas control dan kelas eksperimen. Didapatkan pula nilai thitung sebesar 2,329 dan ttabel (0,05/2;df) sebesar 2,007. Karena thitung=2,329 > ttabel=2,007 maka Ho ditolak dan h1 diterima yang berarti bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media audio visual(video) terhadap hasil belajar siswa.
