Abstract

The research uses a qualitative approach with a library research method. Data collection is done through document review, while data analysis involves content analysis and historical analysis techniques. The content analysis method consists of six stages: comparison, sample selection, recording, exploration, drawing objective conclusions, and narration. A validity test is then conducted to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data. The research findings show that Sheikh Wahbah Az-Zuhaili’s concept of moderate Islam includes: first, a moderate approach to Islamic law (fiqh); second, tolerance for differences; third, an emphasis on social justice; fourth, simplicity in religion; and fifth, maintaining the integrity of the ummah (community). The Islamic education he advocates is based on key values, including: first, the integration of religious and general knowledge; second, a balance between this world and the hereafter; third, the cultivation of noble character; fourth, tolerance for diversity; and fifth, social justice, creativity, and independence.

Abstract

 Along with the advancement of technology and the increasing busyness of everyday people, the need for tools to help with daily activities is becoming increasingly important, including for pet owners such as cats. This study designs an automatic tool called "Zen-Feeder," which is an automatic pet feeding tool that uses a microcontroller and ultrasonic sensor to detect the presence of cats, provide food on a scheduled basis and according to the dosage so that owners can more freely manage their time and activities outside the home. The ultrasonic sensor detects the presence of cats around the feeding place, according to the characteristics of cats coming to the feeding place when it is time to eat. The tool's servo motor will automatically open the feeding valve when the cat is within a certain distance from the feeding place and release food with a predetermined dosage. Then, the valve will close again. In light of the growing demands of modern life, the development of the "Zen-Feeder" represents a significant advancement in pet care technology, offering convenience and peace of mind for cat owners by ensuring their pets are fed consistently and healthily, even in their absence.

Abstract

Ornamen memiliki peran penting dalam membentuk identitas ruang, karena tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai elemen dekoratif namun juga sebagai media visual yang dapat mengkomunikasikan budaya, sejarah, dan juga nilai simbolis. Penelitian ini membahas peran ornamen sebagai pembentuk identitas ruang melalui studi komparatif antara Gedung Kesenian (GK) Sunan Ambu yang terletak di ISBI Bandung dan Radjawali Semarang Cultural Center (RSCC). Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah kualitatif komparatif dengan pendekatan analisis visual dan interpretatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pada GK Sunan Ambu, peran ornamen cenderung fungsional sehingga belum dapat sepenuhnya menghadirkan identitas dari karakter “Sunan Ambu” yang merepresentasikan budaya Sunda. Sedangkan pada RSCC penerapan ornamen dengan bentuk geometris dan simbolis yang menyerupai sayap rajawali serta penggunaan motif batik parang pada fasad bangunan telah dapat menghadirkan identitas “Radjawali” yang khas dan berkesan sehingga mudah diingat oleh pengunjung. Dengan demikian, ornamen memiliki peran yang signifikan dalam membentuk identitas ruang melalui integrasi fungsi estetika, simbolik, serta kultural yang dikemas dalam satu kesatuan desain ornamen yang bermakna, sehingga dapat menghadiran pengalaman yang berkesan bagi pengunjung.

Abstract

This study aims to optimize the machining parameters of bipolar plates using a CNC 3-axis milling machine based on the Taguchi method. Bipolar plates play a crucial role in proton exchange membrane fuel cells (PEMFCs), where dimensional accuracy and surface quality directly affect cell performance. The machining parameters considered in this research include spindle speed, feed rate, and depth of cut. An L9 orthogonal array was selected to design the experiments, and surface roughness as well as material removal rate (MRR) were evaluated as performance characteristics. Signal-to-noise (S/N) ratio analysis was applied to determine the optimal parameter combination. The results show that spindle speed and feed rate have the most significant influence on surface roughness, while depth of cut mainly affects the MRR. The optimal setting obtained was 3500 rpm spindle speed, 300 mm/min feed rate, and 0.2 mm depth of cut, which produced the lowest surface roughness and acceptable MRR. The confirmation experiment validated the Taguchi model prediction with an error of less than 5%. These findings demonstrate that the Taguchi method is an effective tool for optimizing CNC machining parameters of bipolar plates, improving both quality and manufacturing efficiency.
