Abstract

Astronomy learning is often considered difficult by most students of the Astronomy study program at the Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara., so effective learning media in the form of digital comics is needed. This type of research is research and development (R&D), which follows the ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation) development procedure. This research is only limited to the development stage. Comics are developed using Canva because they are easy to use on all devices and provide many features that make it easy for users to create graphic designs. The validation results from media and material experts on the comics developed each have an average value of 91% and 92% or are included in the very good criteria. These results indicate that digital astronomy comics can be used in learning. This research is limited to the development stage, so its effectiveness in learning cannot be known. The effectiveness and practicality of this digital astronomy comic can be known through the implementation stage.

Abstract

Observatorium Ilmu Falak Universitas Muhammadiyah Sumatera Utara (OIF UMSU) adalah fasilitas astronomi penting yang menunjang pengembangan ilmu astronomi dan kegiatan penelitian terkait fenomena langit. Salah satu komponen krusial dalam operasional observatorium adalah pengendalian lingkungan di dalam kubah observatorium, terutama suhu dan kelembaban. Kondisi lingkungan ini sangat berpengaruh terhadap kualitas pengamatan, kelangsungan instrumen, serta kenyamanan para peneliti dan pengamat. Oleh karena itu, diperlukan suatu sistem monitoring yang handal untuk menjaga kondisi lingkungan dalam rentang yang optimal. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah merancang dan mengimplementasikan sistem monitoring suhu dan kelembaban dengan mikrokontroler Arduino pada kubah OIF UMSU. Sistem ini diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi akurat mengenai kondisi lingkungan di dalam kubah secara real time. dan memudahkan tindakan preventif dan korektif terhadap kondisi yang tidak sesuai. Sistem yang dikembangkan menggunakan sensor DHT11 mampu mengukur suhu dan kelembaban dengan presisi tinggi; Sistem pemantauan suhu dan kelembaban kubah berbasis Arduino UNO mengukur suhu rata-rata 21 ° C dan kelembaban rata-rata 61%.
