Abstract

Abstract: This study aims to increase students' learning motivation in Islamic Religious Education (PAI) through the application of Project-Based Learning (PJBL) model at SMP Negeri 2 Pallangga. Islamic Education has an important role in instilling moral, ethical, and religious values that are the basis of the life of the nation and state. However, the challenge faced in PAI learning is the low motivation of students to learn which has an impact on the understanding and application of religious values in everyday life. This study used the Classroom Action Research (PTK) method with a cyclical approach consisting of two cycles, referring to the classroom action research framework developed by Kemmis and McTaggart, involving 28 students. The research results from the first cycle showed that the majority of students were in the moderate category, with scores ranging from 59% to 73%. In the second cycle, all students managed to reach the “High” category, with scores ranging from 76% to 90%, reflecting the success of the teaching method applied. These findings suggest that PjBL is effective in increasing students' motivation by giving them control over the learning process and encouraging active participation in collaborative projects. This study concludes that PjBL can significantly improve students' engagement and achievement in Islamic Religious Education.    Keywords: project-based learning, learning motivation, Islamic Religious Education.

Abstract

Cultural awareness in schools is increasingly important in the face of the impact of globalization, especially in promoting an understanding of homogenization, national culture and the influence of consumerism. The ability to adapt in diverse cultural contexts is a key skill in the current era of globalization, where this phenomenon is changing our interactions, work and lifestyles. Multicultural awareness is key to understanding, appreciating and responding to cultural diversity in various contexts, as well as being the foundation for developing inclusive attitudes and improving the quality of interactions between individuals in schools. This study used a systematic literature review with 12 journals (shorted from 98 articles) to find multicultural counseling services that increase cultural awareness in adolescents. The study followed three stages of the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA): identification of the records, screening for possible eligibility, and inclusion of the studies. The results of this study showed that the implementation and development of cultural awareness in multicultural counseling services was an important step to create an inclusive educational environment for students from various cultural backgrounds. Multicultural counseling strategies involve a holistic approach to promote understanding and appreciation of cultural diversity. Training counselors in cultural awareness is also important to increase the effectiveness of counseling services. Future research is expected to explore more deeply the role of counselors' cultural awareness in improving interactions with students from different cultural backgrounds and its impact on service quality and student outcomes.

Abstract

This study aims to explore protean career orientations in developing Generation Z's 21st century career adaptability in an educational context. Generation Z faces significant challenges in a dynamic and fast-changing learning environment, including technological developments, labor market changes, and evolving skill needs. Therefore, it is important to understand how a protean career orientation can help them adapt to these changes. The method used was Systematic Literature Review (SLR), which identified and analyzed the literature related to protean career orientation and career adaptability. The results showed that protean career orientation, which emphasizes flexibility, career self-management and the ability to learn lifelong, significantly contributes to the development of career adaptability. The findings highlight the importance of developing adaptive skills and mindsets to enable Generation Z to cope with the evolving demands of education and careers. Adopting a protean career orientation can be an effective strategy in preparing Generation Z for future career challenges and enhancing their ability to navigate diverse educational and career pathways so that they can reach their full potential in an ever-changing environment.
