Abstract

This study aims to examine the construction of Guru Bakhiet's gender interpretation in his interpretation of a number of verses of the Qur'an, focusing on the theme of subordination and women's empowerment. Guru Bakhiet interprets Qur'anic verses related to women, such as Surah al-Baqarah [2]: 228, Surah an-Nisa [4]: 1 and 34, Surah al-An'am [6]: 137, and Surah al-Isra [17]: 1, with an approach that prioritizes justice, equality, and protection of women's rights. This research uses critical analysis methods and hermeneutic approaches, this research reveals how Guru Bakhiet interprets verses related to women, including the obligation to wear the hijab, the position of husband and wife, women's rights, and women's relationships with men in the context of marriage. The results of the study show that Guru Bakhiet's interpretation is influenced by the dynamics in gender understanding in his interpretation, which not only reflects local traditions and culture, but also shows the potential to formulate a more inclusive view and empower women within the framework of Islamic teachings. Guru Bakhiet's interpretation shows that there is a tendency to put women in a subordinate position and at the same time try to empower women through fair religious learning, as well as the affirmation of women's rights in the family. Although she emphasizes the obligation of women to maintain honor and maintain manners, the interpretation also includes aspects that support the education and protection of women, such as in her views on the treatment of girls and efforts to prevent injustice in husband-wife relationships. So, this interpretation emphasizes the importance of women's empowerment through education and fair treatment, as well as criticizing practices that have the potential to suppress the role of women in society. Thus, it can be concluded that Guru Bakhiet's tafsir combines aspects of subordination and empowerment, by fighting for women's rights within the framework of humanist and contextual Islamic teachings.

Abstract

This research explores the impact and implications of ulama involvement in the business world, which is increasingly important in the context of Islamic economics. Ulama, traditionally known as spiritual leaders, are now also playing a significant role in business, especially in ensuring shariah-compliant business practices. This study analyzes the influence of ulama involvement on business practices, economic impact, social impact, and the challenges and moral implications faced. The results show that the involvement of ulama in business encourages the integration of sharia values, such as fairness and transparency, in business operations. It also increases consumer trust and loyalty, which contributes to the economic growth of sharia-based businesses. In addition, ulama play an important role in promoting corporate social responsibility (CSR) and social justice. However, a key challenge faced is the potential conflict of interest between the religious and commercial roles of ulama, as well as the risk of erosion of moral authority if involvement in business is not properly managed. This research recommends specialized education and training for ulama, the establishment of Islamic business ethics committees, and increased collaboration between ulama and business professionals. By doing so, ulama can continue to serve as agents of change who promote ethical and equitable business practices, while maintaining their moral integrity. The results of this study provide valuable insights for stakeholders in managing the role of ulama in the business world in the future.

Abstract

Abstract: Religious life is related to issues of ritual and eschatology. These two things are comprehended and addressed differently in various circles. Among Fiqh scholars, worship (ibadah) is known as a form of formality without the ability to be creative. While some philosophers argue that worship is an irrational act. In the view of Sufism, worship in religion is something meaningful, it's just that not everyone can explore this meaning, because indeed in religion the issue of worship is understood as something supra-rational. This research uses the tafsir isyari approach and the chosen tafsir is tafsir Ruh al-Ma'ani written by al-Alusi. Data collection in the study was done by tracing the verses of the Qur'an interpreted by al-Alusi in his tafsir with isyari interpretation. From the research, it is concluded that the interpretation of Ruh al-Ma'ani by al-Alusi is one of the great books of tafsir that contains the zhahir and isyarah interpretations. The isyarah interpretation is within reasonable parameters, not in the form of a Bathiniyah interpretation.Keywords: Ruhani Meanings, Rituals, Islamic Eschatology. Abstrak: kehidupan beragama terkait dengan persoalan ritual dan eskatologi. Dua hal tersebut dalam berbagai kalangan dipahami dan disikapi secara berbeda. Di kalangan fiqh, ibadah dikenal sebagai bentuk formalitas tanpa kebolehan berkreasi. Sementara kalangan filosof ada yang berpendapat bahwa ibadah adalah tindakan irrasional. Dalam pandangan sufisme, ibadah dalam agama adalah sesuatu yang bermakna, hanya saja tidak semua orang mampu menyelami maknanya tersebut, karena memang dalam beragama persoalan ibadah dipahami sebagai sesuatu yang supra rasional. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan tafsir isyari dan tafsir yang dipilih adalah tafsir Ruh al-Ma'ani yang ditulis oleh al-Alusi. Pengumpulan data dalam penelitian melalui;1) menelurusi ayat-ayat Alquran yang ditafsirkan oleh al-Alusi dalam tafsirnya dengan penafsiran isyari. Dari penelitian tersebut disimpulkan bahwa tafsir Ruh al-Ma’ani karya al-Alusi, adalah salah satu kitab tafsir besar yang memuat penafsiran-penafsiran zhahir dan isyarah. Penafsiran isyarahnya batas-batas kewajaran, tidak dalam dalam wujud tafsir Bathiniyah.Keywords: Makna Ruhani, Ritual, Eskatologi Islam.
