Abstract

This study proposes the use of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method as an approach to classifying sugarcane plant diseases. This developing research requires an effective method to detect and classify sugarcane plant diseases so that treatment can be carried out appropriately. This study proposes the use of the Support Vector Machine (SVM) method as an approach to classifying sugarcane plant diseases. SVM was chosen because of its high ability to distinguish data from various classes even in complex dimensions, as well as its reliability in handling small datasets with a good level of accuracy. The data in this study were obtained from images of sugarcane leaves that had been classified into several disease categories. These images were then processed through a feature extraction process that included shape, texture, and color as the main parameters. The experimental results showed that the SVM approach could achieve a high level of accuracy in classifying sugarcane plant diseases. These findings indicate that SVM is an effective and efficient method for identifying diseases in sugarcane plants, and has the potential to be applied as a decision support system in sugarcane plantation management.

Abstract

Pengabdian kepada Masyarakat ini dilaksanakan di SMP Muara Ilmu, Kecamatan Sawangan, Kota Depok, Jawa Barat. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman teknologi dasar di kalangan siswa. Permasalahan yang dihadapi mitra adalah rendahnya akses terhadap pendidikan teknologi yang memadai dan keterbatasan keterampilan dasar dalam pemrograman, yang penting dalam menghadapi tantangan industri 5.0. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah memberikan pengenalan dasar mengenai pemrograman dasar web menggunakan HTML dan CSS sebagai langkah awal dalam memahami pengembangan web dan teknologi digital. Kegiatan ini dilakukan melalui tiga tahapan utama: perencanaan, pelaksanaan, dan evaluasi. Materi yang disampaikan berfokus pada pemrograman web sederhana dengan HTML dan CSS, yang mudah dipahami oleh pemula dan dapat menjadi fondasi untuk mempelajari pemrograman lanjutan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini menunjukkan bahwa siswa mampu memahami dasar-dasar pemrograman web, membuat halaman web sederhana, serta menyadari pentingnya keterampilan teknologi dalam menghadapi era digital. Selain itu, pendekatan pendampingan intensif dan personal memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap motivasi siswa untuk belajar teknologi. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat menjadi langkah awal dalam meningkatkan literasi digital siswa dan mempersiapkan mereka untuk lebih siap menghadapi perkembangan teknologi di masa depan.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology demands the creation of innovative and efficient solutions across various fields of life. In this study, a web-based system was developed with the aim of creating a student attendance and income reporting system that can be accessed in real time. The development methodology used in this system is the prototype model, consisting of stages such as requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The testing results show that the developed system significantly improves accessibility. Therefore, this research is expected to contribute positively to the development of information technology and its application in real-life situations.
