Abstract

To find out the beef cattle business in Perbaungan sub-district is potentially profitable from a financial, social and environmental perspective. Primary data were collected through interviews with farmers and secondary data from relevant agencies. Descriptive-analytical method was used. Benefit-Cost Ratio (BCR), Net Present Value (NPV), and Internal Rate of Return (IRR) were used to assess business feasibility. The results showed that the beef cattle business is financially viable with a BCR value of 1.35, NPV of 25,000,000, and IRR of 18 per cent. In addition, the business has a positive impact on income generation, job creation, and farmer welfare. But there are some problems, such as changes in feed prices and cattle waste management. Even if feed prices and cattle selling prices change significantly, the business is still viable, according to the sensitivity analysis. To make the business more sustainable, the government should help through training programmes, feed subsidies and access to finance. Beef cattle enterprises have great potential to grow and have a positive impact on both the environment and the community if managed properly.

Abstract

This study examines the implementation of an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system at Hospital X in Kudus Regency and its impact on service efficiency, the quality of medical documentation, and regulatory compliance. A descriptive qualitative case study approach was used, involving eight key informants through interviews, direct observation, and document analysis. The findings reveal that EMR improves information accessibility, reduces recording errors, accelerates administrative processes, and enhances interdepartmental coordination. Key success factors include infrastructure readiness, continuous staff training, and managerial support. Challenges identified include limited skilled personnel, resistance to change, and high dependence on IT systems. A phased implementation, ongoing education, and technical assistance proved effective in facilitating digital transformation. The study concludes that EMR is a strategic component in developing a modern, integrated, and accountable healthcare system.

Abstract

The digital transformation in healthcare encourages hospitals to integrate information systems to improve service efficiency, data accuracy, and coordination across units. Aisyiyah Hospital has implemented the Hospital Management Information System (SIMRS) in all service units, including the outpatient department. However, its implementation still encounters several obstacles that affect the smoothness of administrative processes and the quality of patient services. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive explorative design. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with outpatient administrative staff who directly operate SIMRS in daily activities, supported by field observations of workflow and system performance. Informants were selected using purposive sampling based on their experience and operational involvement. The data were analyzed using a narrative thematic method to identify key barriers, impacts, and adaptive solutions. The findings indicate that SIMRS implementation in the outpatient unit of Aisyiyah Hospital has not yet been optimal. Major challenges include limited network and hardware infrastructure, uneven human resource readiness, and the persistence of manual work culture. These barriers lead to delays in service delivery, data entry errors, and weak inter-unit data integration. To address these issues, staff coordinate with the IT team during system disruptions, use manual recording as a temporary measure, and conduct internal peer learning to improve system utilization. The results highlight that the success of SIMRS implementation depends not only on technological capability but also on infrastructure readiness, user competence, and organizational work culture transformation. System optimization requires managerial support through infrastructure enhancement, structured technical training, and consistent supervision of system use in each unit to ensure that SIMRS functions effectively in supporting patient care.
