Abstract

Bullying is a form of aggressive action, violence, hurting others that is carried out continuously. The causes are diverse, ranging from a family environment that is always fighting, less educational shows, a less child-friendly community environment and even teachers who still do not fully understand how to overcome bullying behavior in schools. One of the factors causing bullying behavior is a school situation that is not harmonious or discriminatory. Sometimes the phenomenon of bullying that occurs in schools is not realized by the school and parents. Most parents and school authorities consider the habit of disturbing friends, arguing, and mocking each other as a common behavior among school children and not a threatening thing. The problems faced by SD Al Kautsar Surabaya are classified into 3 aspects, namely cognitive aspects, affective aspects and psychomotor aspects. The cognitive aspect is the lack of knowledge and understanding about bullying and violence. The affective aspect is the lack of understanding of the psychological impact of bullying and violence. While the psychomotor aspect is the lack of preventive and handling actions against bullying and violent behavior. The solution to the problem is to provide workshops to increase the competence of SD Al Kautsar Surabaya teachers in understanding bullying and violence, as well as providing assistance to form an anti-bullying and violence task force at school as an effort to reduce cases of bullying and violence. The output targets to be achieved are measuring with pretests and posttests to teachers to determine the extent of the increase in teacher competence regarding bullying and violence, teachers better understand the psychological conditions of the impact of bullying and violence, and teachers can have effective prevention and handling actions. From this assistance, it is hoped that teachers will be more aware, sensitive, alert and understand the psychological conditions of students and have effective preventive and handling actions against bullying and violent behavior that occurs in schools. The implementation method used in this program is through workshops and mentoring carried out in stages related to bullying and violence (providing material, film screenings, case studies, discussions, ice breaking, games facts or myths related to bullying and violence).

Abstract

Abstract This research examines the adaptation of students from East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) studying at Wijaya Putra University Surabaya, Java Island.The main focus is on how students face the challenges of adapting to new cultures, languages, and habits in a different educational environment.This research uses a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method to understand how NTT students adapt at Wijaya Putra University Surabaya.The subjects of the study are 2 students aged 22 years who are in their 3rd and 5th semesters.Through interviews with students from out of town, it was found that they experienced culture shock, language difficulties, and social pressure, but gradually managed to adapt with social support and interaction.Effective adaptation contributes to academic success and mental well-being.These findings are important as a basis for developing mentoring programs that support cultural and language adaptation for students from afar. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengkaji penyesuaian diri mahasiswa perantau asal Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT) di Universitas Wijaya Putra Surabaya, Pulau Jawa. Fokus utama adalah bagaimana mahasiswa menghadapi tantangan adaptasi budaya, bahasa, dan kebiasaan baru di lingkungan pendidikan yang berbeda. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi untuk memahami bagaimana penyesuaian diri mahasiswa rantau NTT di Universitas Wijaya Putra Surabaya. Subjek penelitian adalah 2 mahasiswa yang berusia 22 tahun dan menginjak semester 3 dan 5. Melalui wawancara dengan mahasiswa rantau, ditemukan bahwa mereka mengalami culture shock, kesulitan bahasa, dan tekanan sosial, namun secara bertahap mampu menyesuaikan diri dengan dukungan sosial dan interaksi. Penyesuaian diri yang efektif berkontribusi pada keberhasilan akademik dan kesejahteraan mental. Temuan ini penting sebagai dasar pengembangan program pendampingan yang mendukung adaptasi budaya dan bahasa bagi mahasiswa rantau.

Abstract

The increasing excessive use of gadgets among adolescents has led to a tendency toward addictive behavior, impacting psychological well-being and weakening emotional regulation. This situation demands effective psychological interventions to help adolescents manage themselves more adaptively. This study aims to test the hypothesis that these interventions, Mindfulness Attention Awareness, are effective in increasing mindfulness levels in adolescents with gadget addiction. The study used a quantitative approach with an experimental design. One group pretest-posttest research subjects were 25 teenagers aged 14–19 years who were screened using the Smartphone Addiction Scale–Short Version (SAS-SV). The intervention was administered over three weeks in six sessions (twice per week) with a duration of 60–90 minutes per session. The intervention materials included mindful breathing exercises, body scan, observation of thoughts and emotions, and the development of self-compassion. The mindfulness measurement instrument uses the Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS). The normality and homogeneity tests show that the data are normally and homogeneously distributed. The test results, paired sample t-testshowed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (t(24) = -46.850, p = 0.000). This finding supports the hypothesis that the intervention Mindfulness Attention Awareness is effective in increasing full awareness and helping teenagers reduce the tendency towards addictive behavior towards gadgets.Fenomena meningkatnya penggunaan gadget secara berlebihan pada remaja telah menimbulkan kecenderungan perilaku adiktif yang berdampak pada kesejahteraan psikologis dan melemahkan fungsi regulasi emosi. Kondisi ini menuntut adanya intervensi psikologis yang efektif untuk membantu remaja mengelola diri secara lebih adaptif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji hipotesis bahwa intervensi Mindfulness Attention Awareness efektif dalam meningkatkan tingkat mindfulness pada remaja yang mengalami kecanduan gadget. Latar belakang penelitian ini didasarkan pada meningkatnya fenomena perilaku adiktif terhadap penggunaan gadget pada kalangan remaja yang berdampak pada kesejahteraan psikologis dan fungsi regulasi emosi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain eksperimen one group pretest-posttest. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 25 remaja berusia 14–19 tahun yang disaring menggunakan Smartphone Addiction Scale–Short Version (SAS-SV). Intervensi diberikan selama tiga minggu dalam enam sesi, dua kali per minggu, dengan durasi 60–90 menit per sesi. Materi intervensi berbasis modul meliputi latihan pernapasan sadar, pemindaian tubuh (body scan), pengamatan pikiran dan emosi, serta pengembangan self-compassion. Instrumen pengukuran mindfulness menggunakan Mindfulness Attention Awareness Scale (MAAS). Uji normalitas dan homogenitas menunjukkan bahwa data berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Hasil uji paired sample t-test menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan antara skor pretest dan posttest (t(24) = -46.850, p = 0.000). Hasil ini mendukung hipotesis bahwa intervensi Mindfulness Attention Awareness efektif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran penuh dan membantu remaja dalam mengurangi kecenderungan perilaku adiktif terhadap gadget.

Abstract

Penelitian in imempunyai tujuan guna melihat korelasi penerimaan diri dengan psychological well being (PWB) pada remaja penyandang tunarungu. Tunarungu memiliki hambatan dalam perkembangan sosial, komunikasi, bahasa, serta emosi. Melalui hambatan itu seseorang yang mengalami tunarungu wajib dapat berdamai dengan kondisi, perihal ini mempunyai arti wajib bisa menerima dirinya. Banyak remaja tunarungu yang marah dan malu dengan kondisinya yang tidak bisa mendengar. Mereka merasa tidak menarik, apalagi dengan alat bantu dengar yang digunakan menyebabkan mereka tidak percaya diri, pesimis dengan masa depannya dan enggan berinteraksi sosial. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa remaja tunarungu merasa sulit untuk menerima kondisinya sehingga tidak sejahtera secara psikologis. Penelitian ini ialah penelitian kuantitatif. Teknik pengumpulan data memakai skala penerimaan diri serta skala psychological well being (PWB). Subjek penelitian ini remaja penyandang tunarungu 12-18 tahun. Temuan uji korelasi pearson menampilkan nilai Sig. (2-tailed) 0,000<0,05 mempunyai arti terdapat keterkaitan yang signifikan diantara penerimaan diri dengan PWB pada remaja penyandang tunarungu.
