Abstract

ABSTRACT The aim of this research is to find out how critical mathematical thinking abilities of students at SMA Negeri 1 Boawae are in solving composition function problems using a collaborative learning model. This type of research is descriptive research using a qualitative approach. This research can be used as a reference for educators to identify the profile of students' mathematical critical thinking abilities. Critical thinking is a type of higher level thinking. Learning mathematics in the era of globalization usually uses critical thinking in solving problems, because mathematics is seen as the most difficult subject. Data collection is carried out by observation, documentation and tests. The subjects of this research were 3 students in class XI F3 of SMA Negeri 1 Boawae, one high achieving student, one medium high achieving student, and one low achieving student. Gifted students can meet all critical thinking standards and participate actively in teaching and learning activities. Students who achieve moderately only fulfill the focus on the first and second indicators, inference, situation, clarity and description on the second indicator, and can join in collaborative learning. Meanwhile, students with low abilities are not actively involved in collaborative learning and only achieve focus on the first and second indicators. The results of the research show that students' critical mathematical thinking skills in composition function material are relatively low.

Abstract

Numeracy abilities are not limited to the ability to apply mathematical concepts to solve problems, but can also be more about practical and critical thinking patterns in various situations in everyday life. This activity aims to provide education and assistance in implementing the Thematic KKN program in accompanying afternoon learning activities at SMP Negeri 1 Boawae which are related to the process of improving students' numeracy skills. The mentoring method consists of three stages, namely preparation, implementation of mentoring, and evaluation of activities. This program successfully creates a learning environment that motivates students to improve their numeracy. The involvement of students as teacher partners brings a fun and interactive learning experience. Learning strategies using fun and enjoyable learning methods have increased students' interest in learning and their problemsolving skills. Apart from that, this program also makes a positive contribution to the development of teachers in implementing effective and enjoyable learning methods for students

Abstract

The aim of this research is to develop student worksheets based on Mauponggo local wisdom to improve mathematical problem solving abilities at SPLDV. This type of research is development research (R&D). The development of this student worksheet uses the ADDIE development model, namely: Analysis (A), Design (D), Development (D), Implementation (I), Evaluation (E). Implementation of the use of student worksheets based on Mauponggo local wisdom in learning mathematics on SPLDV material through the classroom action research stage, which was carried out directly by intern students at SMA Negeri 1 Mauponggo which was carried out in 2 cycles. The results of the mathematics learning test in cycle I were 1 student or 3.03% completed and 32 students or 96.96% incomplete. The results of the mathematics learning test in cycle II showed that 17 students or 51.51% had completed it and 16 students or 48.48% had not completed it. This shows that this student worksheet is practical for use in learning mathematics. Thus, this student worksheet meets the criteria, is practical, and is effectively used in improving mathematical problem solving abilities.

Abstract

The current educational curriculum demands cultural involvement in the learning process in schools with the aim of ensuring that students can become a generation capable of maintaining and preserving culture as the basis of national character. The study of mathematics in culture is called ethnomathematics. By applying ethnomathematics in learning, it is very possible that the material studied is related to culture and students' understanding of the material becomes easier because the material is directly related to culture which is their daily activity in society. This research aims to identify the ethnomathematics content in Nagekeo traditional cloth on flat geometric materials. This research uses qualitative methods with an ethnographic approach. The data collection techniques used are observation and documentation. Documentation is obtained when carrying out observation activities. The results of the research show that the mathematical concepts contained in Nagekeo traditional cloth resemble the concept of flat shapes, namely rhombuses, rectangles and hexagons. The ethnomathematics contained in Nagekeo traditional cloth can be used to introduce mathematics through Nagekeo traditional cloth.
