Abstract

This study aims to test the effectiveness of the use of Padlet media in learning argumentative text writing skills among high school students. The problem raised in this study is the low ability of students to compose logical and structured argumentative texts. Media Padlet was chosen because it could facilitate collaboration and organize ideas interactively. The research method used is quasi-experimental with Pretest-Posttest Control Group Design. The students were divided into two groups: an experimental group that used Padlet in learning, and a control group that used conventional methods. Data were collected through pretest and posttest, then analyzed using a t-test to determine the significance of the difference between the two groups. The results showed that students in the experimental group experienced a significant improvement in argumentative text writing skills compared to the control group. These improvements include students' ability to organize ideas, cohesion, and the strength of arguments. The t-test results showed a significant difference with a p < value of 0.05, which confirmed that using Padlet effectively improved students' writing skills. This study recommends the use of Padlet as an alternative learning medium in the context of teaching writing.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the Indonesian language use among millennials on social media from a sociolinguistic perspective. The main focus is on code-mixing and slang expressions found in digital posts and their function in online communication. The study applies a mixed-methods approach by distributing questionnaires to 200 respondents and analyzing 30 social media posts. The results reveal that code-mixing and slang are widely used as a means of self expression, group identity, and adaptation to digital culture. The average questionnaire scores show a strong tendency toward comfort and effectiveness in using informal language. Textual analysis also indicates that social, emotional, and symbolic factors influence millennials’ language choices. The study concludes that millennials’ use of Indonesian on social media reflects a complex linguistic dynamic oriented toward social functions in the digital ecosystem.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis representasi nilai budaya yang terkandung dalam cerita rakyat Bima dengan pendekatan struktural dan semiotik. Kajian dilakukan untuk mengungkap struktur naratif cerita serta tanda-tanda budaya yang merefleksikan nilai lokal masyarakat Bima. Metode penelitian menggunakan analisis deskriptif kualitatif dengan sumber data berupa teks cerita rakyat Bima yang diperoleh melalui dokumentasi tertulis dan wawancara dengan tokoh budaya. Analisis struktural digunakan untuk menelaah unsur intrinsik seperti tokoh, alur, dan tema, sedangkan analisis semiotik difokuskan pada simbol-simbol budaya yang muncul dalam cerita. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa cerita rakyat Bima sarat dengan nilai budaya seperti kejujuran, solidaritas sosial, rasa malu, dan penghormatan terhadap adat. Simbol-simbol budaya dalam teks juga merefleksikan pandangan hidup masyarakat Bima yang menjunjung tinggi keharmonisan sosial. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pelestarian budaya lokal serta memberikan dasar teoritis untuk integrasi cerita rakyat dalam pembelajaran bahasa dan sastra.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah dan mendeskripsikan implementasi model pembelajaran Discovery Tematik pada siswa kelas XII SMA Kae Woha dalam membentuk kreativitas menulis puisi di era VUCA. Penelitian ini berjenis kualitatif dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian ini berupa kata, frasa, dan kalimat yang menggambarkan unsur batin, fisik, baris, dan isi puisi. Sumber data primer berasal dari siswa kelas XII IPA 1 dan IPA 2 SMA Kae Woha berupa karya puisi. Sumber data sekunder bersumber dari ahli materi dan model pembelajaran, jurnal dan buku. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik observasi, wawancara, dokumentasi, dan eksperimen semu untuk mendapatkan data unsur fisik, batin, baris, dan isi puisi. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data interaktif dan deskriptif analisis kualitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan implementasi model pembelajaran Discovery Tematik pada siswa kelas XII SMA Kae Woha dalam membentuk kreativitas menulis puisi di era VUCA sangat membentuk kreativitas penulisan puisi dalam unsur fisik, batin, baris, dan isi puisi. Unsur fisik meliputi tipografi, diksi, imaji, kata konkret, bahasa figurasi, verifikasi, ritme, dan mentrum. Unsur batin berupa tema, feeling, nada, dan amanat. Unsur baris meliputi distikon, terzina, kuatrin, kuin, sekstet, septima, stanza, dan soneta. Adapun kreativitas dalam penulisan isi puisi berhubungan dengan ode, himne, elegi, epigram, satire, ballada, dan romansa. Implementasi model pembelajaran Discovery Tematik secara kuantitats dapat meningkatkan nilai siswa. Sebanyak 21 siswa, 16 siswa telah memenuhi nilai KKM dengan mendapatkan nilai 75, 80, 85, dan 90 dengan presentase 78,38095 dari dari indikator pencapaian sebesar 75%. Tiga siswa masih mendapatkan nilai di bawah KKM dengan nilai 65.

Abstract

Punctuation errors in the results of student assignments at SMK Taman Madya Baiturrahman Bima are often found. These errors are reviewed to see the underlying factors. Based on that, the objectives of this study are 1) to describe the forms of punctuation errors in the results of student assignments in the explanatory text material for class XI TKJ Department of SMK Taman Madya Baiturrahman Bima, and 2) to examine the factors that influence punctuation errors in the results of student assignments in the explanatory text material for class XI TKJ Department of SMK Taman Madya Baiturrahman Bima. This study is a qualitative study using a qualitative descriptive method. The data for this study are sentences related to punctuation errors. The data source comes from teachers and students of class XI TKJ Department at SMK Taman Madya Baiturrahman Bima. The data collection techniques used are observation, assignments, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis technique for this study uses descriptive analysis techniques. The results of this study are (1) the forms of punctuation errors in the explanatory text assignments of class XI students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering at SMK Taman Madya Baiturrahman Bima include period punctuation, comma punctuation, colon punctuation, and hyphen; (2) the factors that influence punctuation errors in the explanatory text assignments of class XI students majoring in Computer and Network Engineering at SMK Taman Madya Baiturrahman Bima are caused by low student interest and motivation towards learning, varying levels of student cognitive ability, different student memories, lack of student understanding regarding punctuation, the surrounding environment that does not support learning, complicated teacher explanations, lack of time in learning, students' habits of not paying attention during learning, students' lack of self-confidence, and lack of student accuracy in placing punctuation.
