Abstract

Global diversity illustrates students' ability to think broadly when encountering cultures different from their own. The aim of this research is to determine whether there is an effect when guidance and counseling services are combined with local Indonesian values, specifically the values contained in Kakawin Sutasoma. The Kakawin Sutasoma is a work by Mpu Tantular, believed to have been written between 1365 and 1389 during the Majapahit kingdom in the 14th century. The Majapahit kingdom had a diverse cultural and religious background, which inspired Mpu Tantular to create a bridge among these various streams to foster unity. This research is a type of quasi-experiment, using a pretest-posttest control group design. The research subjects are 10th-grade students aged 15 to 16 years, selected through purposive sampling, consisting of 8 individuals for the experimental group and 6 individuals for the control group. The control group consists of 4 males and 4 females, while the experimental group has 4 males and 2 females. Data analysis used non-parametric statistical tests employing the Wilcoxon technique, followed by the Mann-Whitney test to compare differences between the experimental and control groups. The results of this study show an Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) value of 0.008 < 0.05. This means that group guidance with the sociodrama technique incorporating Kakawin Sutasoma values is effective in managing the global diversity attitudes of high school students.

Abstract

The Merdeka curriculum is an improvement on the previous curriculum, namely the 2013 curriculum, whose implementation was based on the implementation of the Pancasila student profile. The aim of this research is to compare the six dimensions of the Pancasila student profile in order to assist counselors in developing guidance and counseling service programs. This research uses a survey method. The research subjects were 90 students in class X at a private Catholic high school in Malang. The results of data analysis in this study found that the percentage of the dimensions of faith, devotion to God Almighty, and having noble morals was 80.56%, the global diversity dimension was 72.83%, the mutual cooperation dimension was 81.61%, the independent dimension was 83.78%, the critical reasoning was obtained at 81.50%, and the creative dimension was obtained at 77.67%. The findings of this study can be utilized as a point of reference for counselors to design guidance and counseling programs in schools to enhance or maintain values that strengthen dimensions within the Pancasila student profile. This includes collaborating with subject teachers, conducting group guidance, using traditional games, art therapy, and various counseling techniques.

Abstract

The global diversity is one dimension of the Pancasila student profile. Upon further examination, the dimension of global diversity is closely related to the attitude of tolerance. However, tolerance cannot be ingrained in students on its own without assistance from others. Therefore, assistance from others is needed in managing the global diversity of students. The aim of this research is to examine guidance and counseling services that integrate Indonesian cultural values. This research uses the Systematic Literature Review (SLR) method. The results obtained include 14 articles that meet the study's objectives, with 5 articles relevant to global diversity, 5 articles relevant to guidance strategies in the era of independent learning, and 4 articles relevant to the values of Kakawin Sutasoma. The findings from this literature review suggest the possibility of guidance services infused with the values of Kakawin Sutasoma, as there is similarity between the aspects of global diversity and the verses in the Kakawin Sutasoma text. Further research is needed to design group guidance activities infused with the values of Kakawin Sutasoma to manage the global diversity attitudes of students.
