Abstract

Program Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat (PKM) ini berfokus pada peningkatan kualitas Sumber Daya Manusia (SDM) di kalangan pelaku Usaha Mikro, Kecil, dan Menengah (UMKM) di Pondok Pesantren Assyifa, Kecamatan Parung, Bogor. UMKM memegang peran penting dalam perekonomian lokal, namun sering menghadapi tantangan terkait manajemen SDM, seperti keterampilan tenaga kerja yang rendah dan proses rekrutmen yang tidak efektif. Kegiatan ini dirancang untuk memberikan pelatihan dan pendampingan mengenai manajemen SDM yang mencakup rekrutmen, pengelolaan tenaga kerja, dan peningkatan keterampilan produksi. Pelatihan dilakukan melalui metode ceramah, simulasi, dan diskusi interaktif, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman peserta dalam pengelolaan SDM secara profesional. Hasilnya, terjadi peningkatan signifikan dalam pengelolaan SDM di UMKM serta kesadaran akan pentingnya kolaborasi dengan lembaga pendidikan dan pemerintah. Program ini berhasil mencapai tujuannya dalam meningkatkan kapasitas SDM UMKM serta mendorong keberlanjutan usaha mereka di masa depan

Abstract

This community service aims to strengthen the capacity of human resources of micro, small, and medium enterprise (MSME) actors in Bojongsari Village through training in managerial skills and business digitalization. MSME actors in this area often face various challenges, both in terms of limited managerial capabilities, such as financial management and business planning, as well as in terms of technology, particularly related to marketing and digital business management. This activity was carried out using a combination of lectures, hands-on practice, and discussions involving 30 local MSME actors. The topics covered include the basics of business management, such as business planning, financial management, and digital marketing strategies through social media platforms and e-commerce. The results of this activity showed an improvement in participants' managerial skills, reflected in their ability to create more structured business plans and manage their business finances more effectively. Additionally, the application of business digitalization has started to take shape, with participants now having social media accounts and utilizing online platforms to market their products. However, challenges still exist, especially in terms of limited access to technology and a lack of understanding in digital data analysis. Therefore, further training is necessary to ensure that MSME actors can maximize the use of technology. With this training, it is hoped that MSMEs in Bojongsari Village can develop more competitively in the increasingly digital market.

Abstract

Abstrak Komunikasi merupakan elemen penting dalam kehidupan manusia, yang berperan sebagai penghubung antara individu, kelompok, dan organisasi. Dalam era digital yang terus berkembang, kemampuan berkomunikasi secara efektif menjadi semakin krusial. Artikel ini bertujuan untuk membahas konsep dasar komunikasi, termasuk tujuan, unsur-unsur, jenis, teknik, serta faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi komunikasi dalam konteks organisasi. Komunikasi organisasi dipandang sebagai proses pertukaran informasi yang saling bergantung, yang dapat mempengaruhi efisiensi dan efektivitas kerja dalam suatu organisasi. Dalam pembahasan ini, berbagai macam jenis komunikasi yang terjadi, seperti komunikasi lisan, komunikasi antarpribadi, komunikasi massa, serta komunikasi digital, diidentifikasi dengan fokus pada penerapannya dalam dunia kerja dan organisasi. Selain itu, teknik komunikasi yang beragam, seperti teknik persuasif, koersif, dan instruktif, juga dijelaskan, beserta dengan berbagai hambatan yang sering dihadapi dalam komunikasi, seperti hambatan teknis, semantik, dan budaya. Artikel ini menyimpulkan bahwa kualitas komunikasi dalam organisasi sangat bergantung pada faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi komunikasi, termasuk pengirim pesan, penerima pesan, dan saluran komunikasi yang digunakan. Penerapan komunikasi yang baik dapat meningkatkan efektivitas kerja dan memperkuat hubungan antar individu dalam suatu organisasi.

Abstract

The demand for responsive real-time web applications continues to grow, making the selection of backend technology and WebSocket libraries a crucial factor in determining performance. Node.js and Golang are popular platforms for real-time applications. However, the WebSocket library within them offers a trade-off between features and efficiency, the impact of which has not been comprehensively measured. This research aims to fill this gap by conducting a quantitative performance analysis to compare the efficiency and scalability of four WebSocket libraries: ws and socket.io on Node.js, and gorilla/websocket and coder/websocket on Golang. This research uses a benchmarking experimental method with client load simulations that gradually increase from 100 to 1000 concurrent clients. The experiment was conducted through two scenarios, namely the Echo Test and Broadcast Test. In the Echo Test, the performance metrics measured were Connection Time, Round Trip Time (RTT), and Throughput. Meanwhile, in the Broadcast Test, the performance metric measured was Broadcast Latency. The results from the Echo Test show a significant performance disparity. At a peak load of 1000 clients, socket.io achieved a throughput of only 27,152 messages/second, whereas the lightweight libraries (ws, gorilla/websocket, and coder/websocket) all achieved over 44,000 messages/second. In the Broadcast Test with a high load, the latency difference between the four libraries became insignificant. Therefore, for applications prioritizing raw performance in point-to-point communication, certain WebSocket libraries such as ws, gorilla/websocket, and coder/websocket are more suitable for future development.
