Abstract

Evalution Of Landscape Visual Quality In The Sendang Biru Beach Tourism area Malang Regency. Malang Regency has coastal waters with natural phenomena that have the potential to be tourist attractions, such as waterfalls and wide expanses of white sand beaches. The tourism potential can be used to support regional development based on tourism. The policy in the Malang Regency Tourism Development Master Plan in 2005 states that tourism planning aims to make Malang Regency one of the tourist destinations in the regional scope, at least in the scope of East Java with its development strategy, namely improving several tourist attractions to become mainstay tourist destinations so that the desired target can be achieved. Through the potential of Sendang Biru, the Malang Regency government developed this area as a fisheries industry area while developing it into a tourist destination (LPPD. Malang Regency Government 2014 As a tourist area, of course Sendang Biru Beach must be managed as well as possible to maintain its sustainability both from the physical biophysical and tourism systems, suitability for humans and nature. The research to be conducted uses the Scenic Beauty Estimation (SBE) method as a method of estimating aesthetic quality through comparison, in the form of recommendations in using the theory of elements and design principles.

Abstract

Lahor Reservoir has great potential as an attractive tourist destination. With high natural and visual resources both natural and built landscapes this is an attraction for local and foreign tourists. In addition to the potential, the Lahor Reservoir tourist area also has weaknesses including some park facilities that are not well maintained, trash bins that are not well managed, circulation areas that are dirty due to leaves and branches, thus disturbing the quality of tidiness and cleanliness in the area. Based on this, the development of the Lahor Reservoir tourism area needs to be directed appropriately in order to provide maximum benefits. So, there needs to be an effort to improve and develop Blue Open Space at Lahor Reservoir by identifying and analyzing the tourism resources contained in Lahor Reservoir. The general method used in this research is descriptive quantitative and the analysis method used is Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) where this method focuses on solving a problem based on stakeholder preferences. The weight of the alternative assessment shows the priority of the Tourism alternative 0.496, the Reservoir Ecology alternative 0.215, the Socio-Cultural alternative 0.173 and the Economic alternative 0.116. From the assessment of these alternatives shows the best results in the development of Blue Open Space in the Lahor Reservoir tourism area that is sustainable is a Tourism-based model. The development of Blue Open Space in the Lahor Reservoir tourism area is divided into three development zones, namely the core zone, buffer zone and utilization zone. Zones that are less suitable for tourism development will be used as the core zone. Zones that are suitable enough for tourism development will be used as a buffer area.

Abstract

Study of the Cultural Landscape Characteristics of the Ngadu Bolu Traditional Village in Central Sumba Regency. Ngadu Bolu Traditional Village, located in Dewa Jara Village, Katikutana District, Central Sumba Regency, is one of the traditional settlements rich in ancestral traditions and culture. The village features distinctive settlement characteristics, with stilt houses and high-pitched roofs, as well as megalithic sites in the form of centuries-old stone graves. The Marapu belief system, which connects humans with their ancestors, also influences the landscape design and architecture of this village. However, modernization has brought significant changes to the physical elements of the village. The traditional thatched roofs have largely been replaced by corrugated iron, the wooden pillars of traditional houses have been replaced by concrete, and some stone graves are now made of cement. These changes threaten the loss of the cultural values inherent in Ngadu Bolu Traditional Village. The cultural landscape, which once reflected local beliefs and traditions, is slowly changing, raising concerns about the erosion of cultural identity. This study aims to examine these changes and formulate conservation strategies to preserve the cultural landscape of Ngadu Bolu Traditional Village. The research results show that the architectural elements and spatial arrangement of the village still strongly reflect the community's beliefs and traditional values, with a unique landscape zoning division: the core zone, buffer zone, and utilization zone. Conservation efforts are urgently needed to ensure the sustainability of the culture while raising public awareness of the importance of preserving ancestral heritage.
