Abstract

The study aims to explore and analyze the potential use of AI in improving the effectiveness of the teaching and learning process at the Syekh Abdul Halim Hasan Binjai Institute and the Muhammadiyah University of North Sumatra. The method used is a survey with a questionnaire as a data collection tool. The data analysis technique is carried out quantitatively by calculating the percentage of responses from participants. The subjects of this study were 30 lecturers and a number of students at both institutions. The results of the study showed that 75% of lecturers had a good understanding of AI, and 60% of students showed a high interest in learning about this technology. In addition, 80% of lecturers believed that AI could make teaching materials more interesting and interactive, and students felt the benefits through a richer learning experience. The implication is that to improve the integration of AI in religious education, collaboration between various stakeholders is essential.

Abstract

Incest, often known as incest, is frowned upon in society, although it remains commonplace. This is not a new discovery; it happened throughout the Persian Empire, when some of its kings married their biological mothers or children. That was the demand for religious teachings at that time, based on customs and philosophy. Inbreeding is a flaw in the social order of society because it can disrupt stability and endanger offspring. As a result, Islamic law serves as a mediator, supported by positive regulations, to suppress and reduce inbreeding as much as possible. Environmental conditions are often the cause of inbreeding, especially when the boss has sexual problems that prevent them from meeting family members. Due to the frequency of blood relations that allow the perpetrators to live under the same roof, inbreeding problems are difficult to trace. This is where Islamic criminal law plays an important role in protecting and sanctioning criminals who cross the line. Inbreeding, Incest, and Islamic Criminals are some of the terms used to describe inbreeding.

Abstract

This study investigates the anti-colonial resistance led by Pang Ramung in Takengon, Central Aceh, between 1901 and 1913, situating it within the broader context of the Aceh War. Using an explanatory sequential mixed-methods design, the research combines quantitative data from Dutch colonial records including demographic changes, infrastructure investment, and coffee production with qualitative analysis of archival documents and Gayo oral narratives (kekeberen). Drawing on social movement and postcolonial theory, the study analyzes how religious framing, leadership networks, and local terrain knowledge sustained resistance under colonial pressure. Findings reveal that Pang Ramung’s guerrilla tactics and the framing of the struggle as jihad fisabilillah fostered moral cohesion and strategic adaptation despite Dutch military superiority. Quantitative evidence shows that the 101-kilometer Bireuen–Takengon road and coffee plantation expansion paradoxically created vulnerabilities exploited by Gayo fighters. This research contributes to Indonesian historiography by foregrounding highland subaltern agency and demonstrating how ideology and infrastructure intersected in colonial resistance.

Abstract

This study investigates the underlying causes of low digital reasoning among Indonesian netizens, examining their online behaviors from an educational perspective, and proposing comprehensive, education-based solutions. Employing an explanatory sequential mixed methods design, the study first quantitatively assesses the prevalence and characteristics of low reasoning behaviors (eg, hoax sharing, hate speech, impoliteness) among a representative sample of Indonesian netizens. Subsequently, qualitative data will be collected through interviews and focus group discussions with educational stakeholders (teachers, students, policymakers) to explore the educational factors contributing to these behaviors and identify potential pedagogical interventions. Preliminary findings indicate a strong correlation between low digital literacy (particularly critical evaluation skills) and the propensity to spread misinformation and engage in uncivil online discourse. A significant gap exists in the formal education system regarding the explicit teaching of critical thinking, media literacy, and digital ethics. The study highlights the urgent need for integrated educational reforms that prioritize digital literacy, critical thinking, and character education across all levels of the Indonesian curriculum. These interventions are crucial for fostering a more discerning, responsible, and civically engaged digital citizenship.
