Abstract

Located in Sabak Auh sub-district, Siak Regency, Belading Village is a region renowned for its highly productive rice farming. The village's inhabitants hail from diverse backgrounds, with the Javanese community constituting the majority, fostering a strong tradition of consensus-based decision-making. The practices of mutual cooperation and other local wisdom have been deeply ingrained in the community since the village's inception, effectively preventing conflicts among different groups. Recognizing the significant potential of rice husk waste, there is a pressing need to empower the community to utilize this resource, such as by producing charcoal briquettes or organic fertilizers. However, the abundance of rice husk produced has often been underutilized. Rice husk, the outer layer protecting the rice grain, is commonly regarded as agricultural waste with limited value. Therefore, this initiative aims to empower the village community to harness rice husk as a valuable raw material that is both economically viable and environmentally friendly

Abstract

Introduction – Menopausal women will experience symptoms as a result of changes that occur in their bodies, both due to aging and hormonal changes. Changes in estrogen levels during menopause are associated with a wide variety of problems that arise both physically and psychologically. These problems, if not appropriately addressed, will cause a decrease in quality of life that can encourage menopausal women to experience depression. The use of hormone therapy is reported to be effective for reducing menopausal symptoms. In addition to providing therapy, doing physical activity is beneficial for reducing symptoms of depression during the menopausal transition. This paper aims to discuss the impact of women's use of hormone therapy and physical activity during the menopausal transition on the incidence of depression. Methods – This article uses the literature review method. The article used is an original research article in English and was published within the last 5 years (2019-2023). The electronic databases used are Google Scholar, Pubmed, BMC Journal, and Sciencedirect. Results – Hormone therapy given during the menopausal transition can increase the risk of depression. The amount of hormone therapy obtained does not affect the incidence of depression; the use of estrogen hormone therapy and its combination of>1 year and hormone therapy given systemically will increase the incidence. Discuss – Postmenopausal women who use hormone therapy will be at higher risk for depression. Low physical activity will pose a higher risk for depression, especially in postmenopausal women. Conclusion – The use of hormone therapy or hormone replacement therapy during the menopausal transition period can cause an increase in depression and depressive symptoms. Physical activity can help reduce symptoms of depression. In addition, physical activity can also help relieve menopausal symptoms that occur during the transition period.

Abstract

Sebaliknya, keterlibatan orang tua memiliki efek perlindungan yang signifikan (OR = 0,210, p = 0,000). Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa iklan dan teman sebaya adalah faktor utama yang memengaruhi perilaku merokok remaja, sementara keterlibatan orang tua dapat mengurangi risiko tersebut.

Abstract

Background: Low birth weight (LBW) infants are one of the main factors contributing to morbidity and mortality in the neonatal period. Gestational hypertension and hemoglobin levels during pregnancy are two maternal factors that can affect fetal growth and increase the risk of low birth weight babies. Objective: Analyzing the relationship between gestational hypertension and hemoglobin levels in pregnant women and its impact on the incidence of low birth weight babies at Blambangan Banyuwangi Regional General Hospital. Methods: This study implemented an observational analytical design using a cross-sectional approach. The study involved 41 mothers who had just given birth, selected using total sampling. The variables analyzed included gestational hypertension, hemoglobin levels, and the incidence of low birth weight. Data collection was conducted using observation sheets, and analysis was performed by applying the chi-square test at a significance level of α = 0.05.Results: The results of the study on gestational hypertension show that the majority, namely 27 individuals, or 65.9% of the total sample, experienced hypertension. Hemoglobin level analysis indicates that the majority, namely 23 individuals, were within the normal range, covering 56.1% of the entire sample. Analysis of LBW cases indicated that the majority of babies had normal weight, with a total of 32 babies identified, covering 78% of the entire sample. Statistical analysis indicated a significant relationship between gestational hypertension and hemoglobin levels on LBW cases (p < 0.05).Conclusion: There exists a correlation between gestational hypertension and hemoglobin levels and the incidence of low birth weight infants.Suggestions: Regular monitoring of blood pressure and hemoglobin levels in pregnant women, as well as intensive education, are necessary to prevent the risk of low birth weight (LBW) babies.
