Abstract

This study attempts to ascertain the productivity and efficiency levels of eight Islamic banks and eight conventional banks in Indonesia during and after the COVID-19 pandemic. Using Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and Malmquist's Productivity Index (MPI), this study's input factors include labor expenses, assets, financing and revenue, and Third Party Funds (DPK). The findings indicate that the highest degree of efficiency has been effectively maintained by Bank Mandiri, BTN, BTPN, KB Bank Syariah, and BVS. Following the Covid-19 epidemic, BNI was the only bank to see an derivation in performance. Potential improvements in labor cost and revenue management were identified in a number of institutions by the Total Potential Improvement analysis .However, the MPI investigation demonstrates that banks such as BTPN and MEGA have seen notable boosts in productivity due to their successful adoption of digital technology. All things considered, this study demonstrates how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected Indonesian banks' performance. While some banks have maintained or even increased productivity, banks still face substantial hurdles in terms of profitability and efficiency. These findings suggest that in order to meet upcoming difficulties, operational efficiency gains and technology breakthroughs are essential.

Abstract

The environmental crisis is becoming an increasingly pressing issue as development increases without adequate attention to ecological aspects. Negative impacts such as air, soil, and water pollution, as well as extreme climate change, demonstrate that development is not aligned with the principles of environmental sustainability. One serious problem is the increasing volume of waste, from households, schools, and industry. Unfortunately, public awareness of waste sorting and management remains relatively low. Poorly managed waste can cause pollution and long-term health threats. Separating organic and inorganic waste is a crucial step in creating an effective and environmentally friendly waste management system. Therefore, environmental education is a strategic effort to foster awareness from an early age, particularly in the school environment. Through an educational approach and engaging delivery, it is hoped that students will more easily understand the importance of maintaining a clean and sustainable environment. This community service activity aims to improve Green Economy literacy and waste sorting education for students at Muhammadiyah 3 High School, Tulangan, Sidoarjo. The primary target group is 12th-grade students from five classes who are directly involved in the outreach activities. The method used is the screening of interactive and educational motion graphic animation media, making it easier for students to understand the material. This media was chosen because it is visual, engaging, and in line with the characteristics of a young generation familiar with technology. As a form of concrete support, the team also provided green (organic) and yellow (inorganic) trash cans throughout the school environment. It is hoped that this activity will not only broaden students' understanding of the importance of waste sorting but also foster positive, sustainable habits. Furthermore, this activity is the first step in developing a young generation with social responsibility and environmental awareness.

Abstract

The shift from conventional to digital marketing presents significant opportunities for small business development, including productive waqf-based enterprises. However, limited digital literacy remains a major barrier for effective implementation. This community service program aimed to strengthen the digital marketing capacity of productive waqf business units under the Bina Peradaban Islam Indonesia Foundation, with a particular focus on Bazaf Supermarket. The program employed a descriptive qualitative approach through four stages: problem identification, socialization, training, and mentoring. Data were collected using observations, interviews, documentation, and pre- and post-tests to assess changes in participants’ understanding and skills. The results indicate a notable improvement in participants’ digital marketing knowledge and practical abilities, particularly in utilizing WhatsApp Business for product promotion and customer engagement. Following the intervention, Bazaf Supermarket successfully implemented digital marketing strategies, which contributed to increased customer inquiries and sales performance. These findings demonstrate that structured digital marketing training and mentoring can effectively enhance the operational capacity of productive waqf business units. This program provides practical implications for community-based economic empowerment initiatives, highlighting digital marketing as a strategic tool to strengthen the sustainability and social impact of productive waqf enterprises
