Abstract

Teachers are figures who occupy a position and play an important role in education. Therefore, the teacher's performance in teaching is one of the important things in transferring knowledge. One performance that needs to be considered for a teacher is facial makeup. The best impression can be seen from the appearance of a teacher. Because the appearance will be seen first by all students. A good appearance can be interpreted by looking neat, clean, and attractive in terms of clothing, hair makeup and most importantly facial makeup. The purpose of the socialization of corrective makeup techniques is so that teachers can know corrective makeup techniques to provide skills, enthusiasm and motivation for teachers to be more creative in applying makeup in beautifying their appearance, especially when they teach. This teacher service activity teaches teachers how to apply their own makeup that is tailored to the occasion they are doing. This activity was carried out by delivering material using lecture and demonstration methods so that participants could see firsthand the technique of applying cosmetics to corrective makeup. After that, the participants held a discussion session with the resource person and continued the evaluation of the activity by asking several questions to the students. The enthusiasm of the trainees can be seen from the many questions asked about good cosmetics used for corrective makeup.

Abstract

Salon entrepreneurship can be a promising profession if supported by good personal branding. A salon entrepreneur must have a characteristic that differentiates them from others in terms of appearance, communication style or expertise. Personal branding can support career reputation if the application is good, if personal branding is applied poorly it will form a bad image in the community. Therefore, the purpose of carrying out community service activities at Tiara Kusuma DPC Members in Semarang City is to provide understanding to the participants so that they can apply personal branding to themselves so that they have a better self-image and can support the sustainability of the salon business they are working on. This service activity begins by analyzing the needs of the participants and then compiling the material presented according to the results of the analysis. Furthermore, the implementation of activities is to deliver some material related to the understanding of personal branding, the purpose of personal branding and how to create personal branding to improve career reputation as a salon entrepreneur. After the material is delivered, it is continued with a joint discussion and evaluation through questions and answers related to the material presented. The enthusiasm of the training participants can be seen from the many questions asked related to the problems and obstacles experienced so that they can become material for discussion.

Abstract

Services in the field of beauty, especially massage and scrub treatments, demand high standards of cleanliness, neatness, and comfort as part of the principle of service excellence. In order to improve the quality of service and professionalism of beauty practitioners, this training activity was held with a focus on the preparation and packaging of the work area. The main purpose of the training is to provide knowledge and skills to participants in arranging the workspace in a clean, neat, and according to industry standards, so as to be able to create a comfortable atmosphere and support customer satisfaction. The training methods used include direct delivery of material by the instructor as well as interactive question and answer sessions to deepen participants' understanding. The training materials include the basic principles of work area cleanliness, the arrangement of tools and materials, the packaging of the treatment room before and after service, and professional ethics in welcoming and serving customers. Participants are trained to pay attention to the visual and functional details of the work area, including lighting, scent, and the physical comfort of customers. The results of the training showed that participants had an increased understanding of the importance of packaging work areas as an integral part of service quality. In addition, participants showed enthusiasm in applying the principles they had learned into their daily work practices. This activity is considered a strategic step in empowering the workforce in the beauty sector, encouraging increased competitiveness and professionalism amid the increasingly competitive demands of the body care services industry. With this training, it is hoped that more consistent and quality service standards will be created, as well as a work culture that prioritizes customer comfort and professional integrity. Similar training needs to be developed on an ongoing basis to strengthen the capacity of beauty practitioners in the face of industry dynamics and evolving consumer expectations.
