Abstract

The mind is the distinguishing element that makes humans called rational beings. But in reality, an uncontrolled mind can also bring big problems to human life. This is what led Richard Bandler to create the theory of Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) to help humans control their minds. The same thing is also provided by the concept of Manacika Parisudha, as a guideline for mind control teachings from the Hindu perspective. On this basis, researchers are interested in studying both by using NLP theory as an analysis knife in the concept of Manacika Parisudha. By using the philosophical hermeneutic method, and through the Miles and Huberman interactive analysis pattern, the results of this study show that: 1). NLP theory by Richard Bandler as a theory, method, technique, or science that discusses the human mind, the language used, and human behavior as a rational individual in an effort to meet needs.  2). The concept of Manacika Parisudha is a concept of good, holy, and right thinking according to Hinduism. 3). In terms of analysis, there are some similarities between the NLP theory and the concept of Manacika Parisudha in terms of mind control.

Abstract

Globalization affects the shift of local culture which is the identity of a community group. This has been proven by the existence of Balinese language, which is experiencing challenges of degradation from time to time. Based on these problems, PC KMHDI Denpasar tried to implement the KMHDI’s Rumah Daya Program as a forum for grounding Balinese language and preserving local culture at SD Saraswati 6 Denpasar. Although it has been implemented, there is no concrete explanation regarding the success of the KMHDI’s Rumah Daya program implementation. Therefore, the purpose of this research is presented to analyze and answer three formulations of program problems, which are related to the urgency, essence, and implications of the program on the earthing of Balinese Language in SD Saraswati 6 Denpasar. In terms of methods, this research uses descriptive qualitative data with a naturalistic-based approach. Data sources came from primary and secondary sources. Primary data were obtained through observation of activities and interviews with research subjects, namely teachers and students, and secondary data were obtained through literature studies and documentation as reinforcement. The data were analyzed using the Miles and Huberman approach. The results showed that KMHDI's Rumah Daya program is able to be the answer to ground the Balinese language in the school environment interactively. In conclusion, this program is able to provide positive implications, both as an interactive learning space, a space for preserving the nation's culture, and a space for learning while playing that is useful

Abstract

In this time of global competition, it is important for everyone to have leadership skills. Leadership principles are needed to be able to be a guideline for managing oneself and others, without leaving the noble elements of morality. One of the leadership guidelines that can be used as a reference is Sun Tzu's “The Art of War”. In line with the teachings in Hindu Leadership, both are based on the noble values of religion and culture. Considering these similarities, researchers in this case tried to examine The Art of War in the perspective of Hindu Leadership, with the main objective of presenting correlations and noble leadership guidelines that can be empowered in life. Through methods based on philosophical hermeneutics, and balanced with interactive analysis from Miles and Huberman, this research obtained several findings, including: 1). The essence of Sun Tzu's The Art of War is a guideline and philosophy of leadership that unites Taoism with strategies or tactics of warfare. 2). The urgency of Hindu leadership in the era of disruption as a noble guideline to maintain religious and cultural values. 3). In terms of analysis, there is a correlation between The Art of War which is studied in terms of Hindu Leadership concepts, both regarding the importance of planning, mind control, and negotiation skills.

Abstract

Radicalism is one of the challenges that needs to be faced by the Indonesian state. Through a pluralistic nation in terms of religion and culture, Indonesia is prone to being infiltrated by individuals who divide the nation. Therefore, a balance in carrying out obligations as citizens and religious believers needs to be sought from an early age. This is what is done by one of the youth organizations called Pimpinan Cabang Kesatuan Mahasiswa Hindu Dharma (PC KMHDI) Denpasar, by ideologizing the value of Dharma Agama and Dharma Negara through non-formal education. On this basis, this research is present with the aim of describing in depth the ideologization of the values of Dharma Agama and Dharma Negara through Nonformal Education in PC KMHDI Denpasar. Based on the topic, three problems were formulated, namely the value of Dharma Agama in the KMHDI perspective, the value of Dharma Negara in the KMHDI perspective, and the ideologization of these two values through Nonfromal Education in KMHDI. Relying on the type of qualitative research that uses a naturalistic approach, this research shows the results and discussion, that: 1) Ideologization of Dharma Agama is based on Vedic values with the aim of realizing Hindu intellectuals who are Moksartham Jagadhita Ya Ca Iti Dharma. 2) The ideologization of Dharma Negara relies on Pancasila to realize the goal of an Independent Indonesia. 3) The ideologization of both values is carried out through Non-formal Education called “Kaderisasi Tahap 1”, which makes an important contribution to religion and the state.
