Abstract

ABSTRAK : Pamona Selatan salah satu kecamatan yang berhasil menjadi lumbung beras dan mampu memenuhi kebutuhan konsumsi beras di Kabupaten Poso setiap tahunnya. Besarnya peran petani dalam mengembangkan usahatani padi erat kaitannya dengan kompetensi yang dimiliki petani. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di Desa Bo’e Kecamatan Pamona Selatan Kabupaten Poso. Desa Bo’e Sebagai sentra komoditas padi. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Mei–Agustus 2020. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian kuantitatif, melalui metode survei dengan menggunakan kuisioner atau daftar pertanyaan kepada petani atau responden yang telah disusun sebelumnya. Peran penyuluh pertanian berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kompetensi petani. Penigkatan peran penyuluh berpotensi meningkatkan kompetensi petani padi sawah di Desa Bo’e Kecamatan Pamona Selatan Kabupaten Poso. Peningkatan kompetensi baik budidaya, pemanenan, pascapanen dan pemasaran dapat di lakukan melalui peningkatan peran penyuluh baik sebagai komunikator, fasilitator, advistor, motivator, edukator, dan organisator. ABSTRACT: South Pamona is one of the sub-districts that has succeeded in becoming a rice barn and is able to meet the needs of rice consumption in Poso Regency every year. The large role of farmers in developing rice farming is closely related to the competence of farmers. The research was conducted in Bo'e Village, South Pamona District, Poso Regency. Bo'e Village as a center for rice commodities. The research was conducted in May-August 2020. The type of research used was quantitative research, through a survey method using a questionnaire or a list of questions to farmers or respondents that had been prepared previously. The role of agricultural extension workers has an effect on increasing farmer competence. Increasing the role of extension workers has the potential to increase the competence of rice farmers in Bo'e Village, South Pamona District, Poso Regency. Increasing competence in cultivation, harvesting, post-harvest and marketing can be done by increasing the role of extension workers as communicators, facilitators, advisors, motivators, educators, and organizers..
