Abstract

This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the Nurul Bayan method in improving Quran learning outcomes among early childhood students at Sekolah Hafiz Qur'an, Ciputat, South Tangerang. The Nurul Bayan method is a teaching approach specifically designed to facilitate the understanding and memorization of Quranic verses through structured and systematic learning techniques. This research uses an experimental design with a sample of 60 early childhood students divided into two groups: an experimental group using the Nurul Bayan method and a control group using conventional teaching methods. Data were collected through pre-tests and post-tests to measure improvements in Quran learning outcomes. The results showed a significant improvement in Quran learning outcomes in the group using the Nurul Bayan method compared to the control group. The post-test average scores of the experimental group were significantly higher than those of the control group, indicating that the Nurul Bayan method is more effective in enhancing the understanding and memorization of Quranic verses. Additionally, student responses to this method were positive, with many reporting that it made learning the Quran more interesting and easier to understand. In conclusion, the Nurul Bayan method has proven effective in improving Quran learning outcomes among early childhood students. The use of this method can be a good alternative for educators in teaching the Quran, helping young students to better understand and memorize Quranic verses. The recommendation from this study is to expand the use of the Nurul Bayan method in various Islamic educational institutions to enhance the quality of Quranic education for early childhood.

Abstract

This study uses descriptive-qualitative research, the author uses field research which aims to describe and analyze the learning of the Qur'an using the tilawati method at SDS Sekar Adi. The data sources are in the form of primary sources through 5 informants including: the principal, head of curriculum, tilawati coordinator, tilawati teacher and fifth grade students obtained through observation, interviews and documentation as well as secondary data in the form of books, journals, laws and data obtained from the internet. The results of the learning evaluation at the location were that out of 44 fifth grade students who participated in the munaqosyah for increasing the juz level of the Al-Qur'an, 37 students were declared "passed" and 7 other students "improved", with a percentage of 84%. Students who did not pass, on average, made mistakes in the fields of fashohah and gharib musykilat, a special class was needed to discuss the material. The tilawati method is said to be effective for use as learning the Qur'an in that place because the learning process is already systematic and in collaboration with the Tilawati Center Jabar 1, the Qur'an teachers already have certificates and the Qur'an testimony so that students experience ease in learning to read the Qur'an, especially for grade V students.

Abstract

Artikel pengabadian kepada masyarakat ini dilatarbelakagi oleh adanya kerjasama yang baik antara Institut Of Qur’anic Sciences (IIQ) Jakarta dengan At-Tarkiah Islamiah Thailand dalam meningkatkan kualitas belajar Al-Quran dan metode pengajarannya. Tujuan program ini untuk menjalankan strategi metode Baghdadi dalam pengajaran Al-Quran di masyarakat Attarkiah Islamiah Narathiwat Thailand, menilai keefektifan metode Baghdadi dalam pengajaran Al-Quran yang digunakan di masyarakat tersebut, dan untuk mengalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat. Metode kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dengan menggunakan 4 tahapan, yaitu tahapan persiapan pra-survei, pembuatan tim, pembentukan proposal, dan koordinasi tim dan mitra. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa 1). Strategi pengajaran Al-Quran dengan metode Bagdadi yang dilakukan oleh dosen dan para mahasiswa di masyarakat Narathiwat Thailand adalah dengan mengadakan workshop, pengarahan motivasi belajar Al-Quran, dan belajar Al-Quran dengan klasikal, 2). Metode Baghdadi adalah sangat efektif, karena metode ini baru bagi mereka; mereka bisa mengikuti, mudah, menarik dan menyenangkan dalam proses pembelajarannya, dan 3). Faktor pendukung dalam belajar Al-Quran metode Baghdadi dan menghafalnya adalah adalah semangat yang tinggi dalam belajar, cinta kepada Al-Quran, sarana dan prasarana yang mendukung (tempat yang tersedia), dan suka terhadap metode ini. Adapun faktor penghambatnya adalah kurangnya tenaga pendidik, waktunya singkat, faktor bahasa, dan metode ini baru serta pembelajaran Al-Quran kurang merata di masyarakat. Dengan adanya program ini, diharapkan kualitas bacaan Masyarakat Narathiwat Thailand meningkat baik dan mereka semakin cinta belajar Al-Quran dan mengamalkannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
